Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Great Tips On How To Pick A Theme For A Memorial Service

By Tom Tree

Planning a memorial service for someone that you love is a very hard thing to have to do. The most important thing that you have to think about it is how you want to represent to the guest, the life of the person that you are honoring and what they meant to the world. At this time you will be of course overcome with grief for the loss of your loved one, and at the same time you need to make sure that you do the best job that you can for the service. Let's take a few minutes and offer some tips on how to decide a theme for a memorial service.

It is important that before you get started with the planning of the service that you take at least a half a day to deal with your own feelings of loss. You will need to make some major decision about how bets to honor your friend and you do not need to make them while dealing with strong emotional waves. After you have dealt with your emotional needs you can start out by thinking about the kind of person your friend was and how you could best describe them if you had to in one word. This one word that makes up the essence of who your friend was is the foundation of the theme for their memorial service.

Secondly, you will want to pick a tone that is in line with the way that your friend lived their life. If they were an energetic, outgoing an vibrant person who loved every minute of life and all that it had to offer then you might want to celebrate their life with a party. If, however, they lived a very conservative, traditional and somber life then you might want to have a more classic service such as a wake or remembrance circle.

So you have established the basic concept and the tone of the service not you have to decide the very important aspect of where to have the service. In this case let the spirit of your friend guides you. Where is a place that they loved? Was there a certain spot that moved them, that they drew power from in their life? Did they speak of a favorite childhood place or of a vacation spot that they longed to visit but perhaps never had the chance to? These are all great places to have the memorial service for your friend.

So you have a concept, a location and a tone. The last thing you need to worry about is the guest list. Is this service to be by invitation only or should it be open to the world and all whom new the honoree. Either way is appropriate and this decision will again be based on the life the person lived. Were they a private person in their life, one whom only had a select circle of friends and family or were they a highly public person who loved the world and called everyone a friend?

It is hoped that you will be able to use these tips on how to decide a theme for a memorial service to not only plan a get together that is in the best memory of your friend but also will help you to get through the pain of their loss easier. Losing a friend is tough, but remember that life does go one and they will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those whom they loved and the life they left behind will be a tribute to their existence. The service is a chance to celebrate them. Good luck.

Want To Overcome Grief? Counselling Can Help In Dealing With Your Grief.

By Tracy Mills

Counselling for grief involves talking about the loss and so enables the person to come to terms with the loss over time.

Grief can be caused by a number of upsetting events. In addition to the death of a loved one, events such as news of a fatal illness, marriage breakdown or loss of a job can bring on grief.

Counselling provides time to explore issues and other factors that occured that can help or hinder the process of adjusting to the loss.

Grief is a most painful experience to go through. We suffer many small losses that help us to handle the large losses. When someone close to us has been ill for a long time, we experience great sorrow when the death finally occurs. But when death occurs suddenly then our life is thrown into turmoil and we can deny the death occuring and feel confused. Counsellors call this a complicated grief reaction and is brought about as we were not emotionally prepared for the death.

Grief counselling can take place either individually or in groups. Grief counselling is most common after a loved one dies, but may also be beneficial after other grief-provoking situations, such marriage break up, job loss, the diagnosis of a fatal illness or another reason. Grief counselling works to overcome the person's intense feelings of loss.

When someone we love and are close too dies, we will receive much attention from close friends and family. But soon others will "move on", especially when the loss is not so close to them. The person grieving however may not feel that they can "move on" just yet. In this situation grief counselling can be very beneficial, this is especially so if the if the death was sudden. Grief counselling gives the person a route to adjust to the loss and receive assistance that is not be available from family, friends or other people in our network.

Grief counselling is particularly important for people who are: socially a little isolated, or had a difficult relationship with the bereaved or already had emotional issues when the loss occurred.

Grieving is a process that cannot be rushed and counsellors are aware of this. Counselling will make it clear that the feelings or choices made while grieving are normal and natural. The aims of the grief counsellor differ to regular counselling which is undertaken to change behaviour. Instead, the aim of the grief counsellor is to be "present" for the bereaved when they are experiencing a most vulnerable period in their lives. The term compassioning is sometimes used by counsellors.

Most frequently, the grief counsellor helps the person by simply listening in an active manner and by demonstrating empathy. Then assisting the person to find coping mechanisms to deal with the grief.

Flowers And Meanings In A Memorial Service In Different Religions

By Tom Tree

This is an incredibly hard time for anyone and when consoling mourners it is important to do the right thing. Flowers and meanings in a funeral service in different religions are an important part of the funeral process. Sending the wrong arrangement or an offensive color will upset the family and make you look very bad.

Being sensitive about different religions is a wonderful way to make sure that you do not send the wrong thing to the funeral. Some of the more popular religions do not have rules as to what color or style of arraignment to send. Most Christian religions have no specifics for this type of thing.

At a Christian funeral it is a good idea to send flowers and normally the family dictates where to send the flowers to. You will send it to the graveside, church or the family's home. Other religions have different strictures about flowers and sending them. In the Jewish faith it is not accepted to send any form of flower.

In most religions it is not at all offensive. It might just not be wanted. Sending a fruit or gift basket is appropriate in these cases. The Jewish faith prefers this as a form of sympathy. They do not believe that flowers are a good thing at the funeral.

There are several religions that sending flowers is completely appropriate. The Buddhist religion for example welcomes all forms of flowers to the funeral home. Another religion that flowers are welcomed regardless of type is the Mormon religion. It is appropriate to send flowers but not in the shape of a cross. In Eastern Orthodox flowers are appropriate especially white ones.

It is extremely important not to send the inappropriate bouquet or arraignment to a funeral. When you do this and are not sensitive to the family's wishes and religions it can offend them deeply. The last thing that you want to do is make the family feel worse than the already do.

Looking Into The Best Funeral Memorial Service Program For Your Be Loved One

By Tom Tree

Planning a funeral for a loved one you know that it has to be important. However, for some people you will want to know how to find the best funeral memorial service program for your be loved one. Here are some of the ways that you can use to impress people with this service.

One tip is to see what the person enjoyed when they were living. Finding out what they enjoyed doing will allow you to know what to base the funeral around.

Something else that will help you out is making sure that you use the right church. You might have changed your religion since you last seen the people, but the person that you are having the funeral for never changed theirs. So make sure that you choose the one that they want to have used.

You will also need to determine if you want to have a party after the burial. The party can be a nice way to celebrate the life that just passed away so that they will know that you do care for them.

Some people might want to give speeches to help others know about the person so you need to weigh in on if you want that or not. These can be nice, but at the same time if you choose the wrong person it could end up being an attack on the deceased that they cannot defend themselves from.

When you are trying to plan to bury a loved one you know that it is going to be hard to do. However, if you do not do it properly your entire family will never let you forget, but at the same time you will want to make sure that you take into consideration all the items that you think the person being buried would like to see as well.

Shroom: A Cultural History Of The Magic Mushroom

By Dr. Markho Rafael

Anyone interested in magic mushrooms needs to read the 2006 book by Andy Letcher titled "Shroom: A Cultural History of the Magic Mushroom." You may or may not like it, because the author does not pull his punches with existing theories on Shroom history. But even so, you need to read it!

Why? Because there is probably no other human alive besides Letcher that has read practically every piece of information ever published about magic mushrooms. And he has been good enough to put it together for us in a compact book of only 300 pages. (384 with reference section and index.)

Two major portions of Shroom are devoted to the Siberian use of the Fly Agaric for both recreational and spiritual purposes, and to Gordon Wasson's mid-century discovery of magic mushroom use in Mexico and subsequent popularization of Psilocybin mushrooms in the West.

Later on in the book, Letcher give a historic account of the immensely popular 'free festivals' in Britain during the late 1970's and early 80's. The no. 1 'drug' of choice at these festivals was wild-harvested magic mushrooms. Margaret Thatcher successfully put a stop to these festivals, thereby ending the second wave of magic mushroom use. The third and still ongoing wave of shroom popularity began when simple methods of cultivating Psilocybe mushrooms in large quantities were developed by American Terence McKenna.

My main reservation when it comes to this book is that Letcher, at least in the beginning, seems overly prone to side with the critics and skeptics of the many various theories of historic use of magic mushrooms.

E.g. he points out that the ancient petroglyphs in Tassili, Algeria, which many shroom enthusiasts are convinced depict shamans with magic mushroom, could potentially have several other interpretations. The reader is left with a sense that because there are other possible interpretations, therefore, the mushroom interpretation is wrong.

Letcher's critical analysis of the many theories on historic use of magic mushrooms would have been excellent if it had been balanced in terms of pros and cons, which it is not.

This lack of balance is especially blatant when one realizes that he uses the reality of a changing environment and flora as an argument against the possible use of magic mushrooms by Druids in a heavily forested ancient Britain even though it grows abundantly in British pastures today, while simultaneously arguing that the Fly agaric could not have been used in ancient Egypt because no Fly agaric related mushroom grows there today.

In all fairness, though, Letcher does get more balanced in his presentation of different viewpoints towards the end of the book, acknowledging several times that there is no objective way to be sure which of the opposing claims are valid. He deserves kudos for that.

All in all, this book must surely be the most thorough and comprehensive account ever written on the history of magic mushrooms; in particular the more recent part of that history, relating to the past one hundred years or so.

In addition to magic mushrooms, Shroom is also an account of the history of psychedelics in general. Large portions of the book tell the stories of Aldous Huxley and mescaline, Timothy Leary and LSD, and the more recent use of ecstasy at rave fests.

So notwithstanding my reservations against Letcher's slightly unbalanced presentation in the first half of the book, I really do think that anyone with a serious interest in magic mushrooms needs to read Shroom. There is no other book like it out there, I'm sure.

The Orthodox Values In Memorial Service

By Tom Tree

Traditional funeral services are important to most families. The ethnic traditions in funeral service - East European family-Orthodox practiced by families is no different. Their religion is known as eastern orthodox and is an off shoot of Catholicism. Their funeral practices are very similar to those of the Catholic faith.

In eastern European families cremation is a big no. They believe that they should be returned to the earth. Bodies are dealt with by being put into a coffin and then buried into the earth. This is normally accompanied by a grave side service and mourners throwing some dirt on the coffin once it is in the grave.

Organ donation on the other hand is all right. It goes under helping people out even in death. In order to be an organ donor an eastern European would need to fill out an organ donor card in the presence of at least one witness. It is believed that the practice of helping others out in this way is referenced in the bible.

Several prayers are said over the dying and the dead in this religion. These prayers are to get the soul to depart the body to continue its journey. These are ordinarily accompanied by a vigil and a viewing. They prepare for death when someone is terminally ill rather than waiting until after they are gone.

A funeral is held as is a wake. They have the funeral at a church, the wake at the home, and a small service that is graveside. Normally crosses, flowers and other gifts are given to the deceased's family members. Not giving a gift at this time is considered extremely rude and gifts of white flowers are especially good.

If you are planning a funeral for someone who is Eastern Orthodox you should speak with the church on exact needs. They will be happy to speak with you and you do not want to do anything that will offend anyone especially at this trying time. It is important to observe all of the important practices when dealing with mourning relatives.

The Christian Family Experiences In Memorial Service

By Tom Tree

Certain elements of a funeral are expected to take place when a person who is a member of a Christian family passes away. There are traditions that have been part of Christian funerals for centuries. Others have more recently become customary and are now frequently integrated into the services. The most important ethnic traditions in funeral service - Christian family members will want to be sure to include is the reading of scripture.

Services are usually held at a church or at a funeral home. Often times, the body of the deceased family member is at the funeral home for several days prior to the funeral service. It is taken care of by the undertaker, or funeral director, and prepared for burial.

The body is then placed in a casket and kept at the home if that is where the funeral will take place. If the service is to take place at a church, it is held at the home until just before the funeral, and taken to the church in a type of automobile called a hearse. If the body is going to be cremated, the service can be conducted without the body present, or the cremation can take place after the service is over.

There is typically an open house called a viewing, wake, or visitation the night before the funeral. These take place so that loved ones of the deceased can gather and offer condolences. The casket containing the body is also present, and attendees are able to view it and say their final farewells.

There is usually an obituary placed in the local newspaper that serves as a notice of the death to the community. The time and location of the visitation and funeral service are usually noted there, unless the funeral is to be private, for family only.

A minister or pastor traditionally conducts the service, regardless if it is held at a funeral home or a church. Scripture from the Bible is read to give hope and encouragement to the mourners in attendance. After the service, if the deceased is to be buried, not cremated, there is a graveside service where family and friends gather at the cemetery where the grave is located, and watch as the body is lowered into the ground. Following the graveside and funeral services, those attending return to the funeral home or church for a brief time of fellowship and remembering of the deceased.

I LOVE Mornings! Don't You?

By Kim Thornton

Do you complain about mornings, especially Monday morning? It's something that seems to be endemic in our society. And that's a real shame.

But pause for a moment and think about the alternative.

Anyone who complains about morning should keep this that in mind, If it's a choice between waking up and not, well, which do you prefer?

But for most MCs (morning complainers) it's not a question of waking up or not, it's what their life is like when they do wake up. The way I see it is, if you're complaining about waking up in the morning, you must be pretty unhappy about your lot in life. Wouldn't you agree?

Let's face it, waking up with a new day laid out before you, 24 new fresh hours ready for you to experience is really a wonderful gift.

Now I know that every minute of every day can be filled with pure joy and happiness. Every waking moment can't be overflowing with enthusiasm. That's simply unrealistic. We all have things we must do that we'd rather not. There are mundane boring activities that must be attended to. But... to "hate" mornings speaks volumes to me. It says you've made some poor choices in life. Let's face it, if thinking about doing some unpleasant tasks colors your entire perspective on life, wake up and smell the roses!

Because life really is all the choices we make. We make hundreds, maybe thousands of them every day. The vast majority of our choices are small such as what shirt to wear or should I have that second cup of coffee, and a few are major such as the decision to buy a new house or to find a new job.

Some of our choices involve physical things as mentioned above. But many are strictly between the ears! And that's what I want to focus on in the rest of this article. And it brings us back to the MCs.

We all make the choice of waking up to a day full of opportunities and challenges or focusing on all the things we dread.

It's a question of choices.

Let's say you find yourself in a job you detest. Why are you there? What choices did you make to get there and what choices are you making that keep you there?

Is your choosing to be miserable making things worse. Could you improve your enjoyment of life if you simple made a choice to be happier, to greet people with a smile and to be more helpful?

Whether you like it and accept it or not, we all choose the outlook we have towards life. It really is sad that a lot of people choose to be victims. And yes, that is a choice people make. Maybe not consciously, but that's the nature of being a victim. In reality most people who play the victim role won't even recognize themselves as such.

Now I'm not saying that you choose to be a victim, it's just an example. What I am going to do though, is challenge you to take a serious look at your perspective on life.

If you fall short, in other words if you don't view life as a great and wonderful adventure that you anticipate with enthusiasm every day, I challenge you to make some new choices. Do you need to find some new opportunities to go after or do you simply need to start seeing life in a new light?

It's your choice!

Five Foundations Of A Christian Worldview

By Walter Lindgren

Christian believers typically adhere to five traditions that form a worldview that shapes the nature of their beliefs. This outlook may also contain characteristics that other individuals perceive as factors which, in fact, identify a person as a Christian. The article that follows is not intended to be a creed or the final statement on the matter, but a dependable outline of Christian beliefs.

The first point of such a worldview is belief in a single God, monotheism, and an over-arching love of the deity who is specifically accountable for all creation. With this as the foundation of a Christian worldview, for example, an individual's opinion of concepts that do not acknowledge God or that do not recognize the origin of creation will lead to a lack of agreement with these ideas.

The second factor in a Christian worldview is acceptance of Jesus as the son of God and the only salvation for humans, in the sense that Jesus is the path to everlasting life in heaven. In order to be a "Christian," the meaning of the term requires literal faith in Jesus as a personal savior. This affects an individual's worldview in several ways, primarily in the contexts of knowing that others who believe in Jesus are also saved, that those who reject this belief are not part of the church community, and that there may be a need for educating others about the Christian faith.

The third element of describing a worldview for the Christian faith is a belief in the Holy Ghost (or Spirit) as the active presence of God's power, especially as shown by the acts of the apostles. This leads to the need for good works, or positive actions, through the church and within the community. A Christian approach to life will develop active expressions of one's faith to affect other people.

The fourth component of such a worldview would be the notion of Christians as people of the book, biblios, the Bible. The Bible functions as a source of inspiration and specifically describes the point of view that each Christian should use to evaluate the events of their lives. The New Testament shows people how to believe, think, and act in order to be Christians which, in turn, forms one's worldview.

And the fifth element is the instruction that Christians are to demonstrate their "love" for other people in every aspect of their lives. From the basis of choosing to love other people, a Christian worldview accepts that all things will ultimately demonstrate God's love for his faithful, that belief in Jesus is the path to everlasting life, and that Christians can express that love through their actions toward others.

A worldview developed from these five Christian principles may lead to the personal observation that God will take care of all things in good time, and that belief in Jesus, faith in the community of the church, and actions that express love toward others will result in a calm, peaceful, joyous life, though not without sufferings of the faith and physical world. And it is the promise of salvation through Jesus that gives genuine meaning to the Christian worldview.

Funeral Services And Practices Vary From Culture To Culture

By Adriana Noton

Funeral services are the ceremonies that the world's cultures hold to commemorate the life of one who has been loved that is lost to death. The rituals, customs, and the prayers that have been attached to the practice of rendering honor to the dead vary from country to country. Some create memorials, shrines, or monuments to those that are snatched away by death.

A practice that is common in Canada and the United States is the funeral ceremony where a clergyman officiates. The man often speaks a sermon that involve passages of comfort from texts of a religious nature, a prayer, and a eulogy that discusses the deceased and his, or her, accomplishments in life. After that ritual has finished then there may be second and shorter service at the graveside following a procession out to that location.

Another practice that is unique to one part of the United States is the New Orleans Jazz Funeral. A procession begins at the site of the memorial service and concludes at the site of burial. It consists of a jazz band, family members and friends of the deceased. The music that plays are sad and somber dirges. After the final ceremony at the graveside the procession continues on to a gathering place. During that particular march the music is replaced by music that one can dance to while waving hats and umbrellas in order to celebrate the life of the deceased.

Yet another practice is one that suits the preferences of those who are environmentally conscious. It is called a green funeral. This allows those that have concerns about how traditional burial practices impact the environment can opt to have their remains buried in a way more in line with their beliefs. For example they may choose to be buried in a shroud or coffin that is biodegradable. Their chosen burial place may be in a parkland where they have a tree planted on their grave as a memorial.

Some funeral homes or chapels offer the option of an internet visitation and funeral service. Friends, family, and others who otherwise would be unable to attend can do so via a web cam and computer set up connected to the internet. Thus the support network for those left behind by the deceased can be connected regardless of weather, distance, or circumstance.

How the dead have final disposition can be as varied as the funeral rites themselves. Such as there are many lands in which the remains are placed in a family crypt, individual tomb, or a burial plot. In some areas underground burials are not practical because the ground water is too high. Thus the remains have to be put in a tomb that is above ground. The above ground tombs that are really grand in appearance are often called mausoleums and are used for the dead of the wealthy and prominent families.

Another burial practice that is used is what is know as a burial at sea. It has usually been performed when a death has occur ed aboard a ship that belongs to a seafaring country. The remains are wrapped up in some way and then weights are attached in order to make the body sink at the time it is dropped overboard. Many of the world's major religions have created special services for just this type of occasion.

Funeral services and their associated practices in the would are varied. In point of fact the kinds of rituals that are practiced are as varied as there are peoples, cultures, and countries on the earth. Thus if a memorial for one who is loved can have any form desired.

A Smart Way To Get Life Insurance Quotes

By Rodney Daniel Bolton

The insurance industry is quite a complicated one. And, this is the same for coverage regarding life, automobile, home or renters, or any other type. It is one in which it requires knowledge and research as well as experience. So, having said that, the best ways to get life insurance quotes is by putting in your own effort and talking to professionals.

If you've never had life insurance, then it is recommended that you speak to those who have. People in your circle of friends and family could certainly help out. They can also recommend someone that they have been associated with either in the past or present.

While people you trust can be helpful, don't stop there. Remember, nowadays, people have the Internet that they can refer to at any given moment. So, it's easy to get answers and good information from the best resources, including the government.

After informing yourself to the best of your ability, visit various websites that allow you to do quotation's online. They're quick and easy to do. Of course, how precise the quotation is depends completely on the amount of information you provide to the various insurers. If you feel wary about providing detailed personal information, just do simple comparison shopping.

The good thing is that you can do as many quotations as you like, totally free of charge. However, some might charge for the service. If so, you could avoid them and just move on. You'll notice that there will be many differences between insurers. They could differ in the terms as well as the coverage, and in the rates they charge.

Once you have followed the step above, then you should be able to discuss in more detail with a professional. Here, you'll understand some more of the lingo used in the industry, and they'll be able to answer any questions you have. More often than not, you will have several questions.

If you find some deals, you should be approaching them with more caution. Depending on where you live, the insurance industry is government regulated. Many countries require them to have money set aside to provide the insurance people have paid for. So, more often than not, you will be protected. But you should be certain of this to avoid any problems in the future, which is what life insurance is for. The bottom line is you want your loved ones to be protected financially in the event of death.

A Two-Step System For Optimal Crystal Cleansing

By Isabelle Morton

Decades ago, people once again became aware that crystals and crystal clusters are effective healing tools. Their capabilities are extensive, especially when they receive proper care. In therapeutic situations, crystals eliminate unwanted energies from the patient's body and aura. As time passes, unwanted energies pervade both the surface of crystals and their energy field. If not cleansed properly, unwanted energies can impair the crystal's healing abilities. It's much like needing to rid your desk of clutter before you can get back to work.

If crystal clusters are being used to keep rooms in your house or office uplifted and clear, it is necessary to cleanse the clusters each time you dust the area, or every couple of weeks. Cleanse individual healing crystals after each therapy session in which you use them. This is important because neglecting to cleanse can be risky. Unwanted energies that a crystal picks up from one patient may be passed on to the next. Second, to prevent the following patient from being exposed to these energies, you as the practitioner, might pick them up yourself. Third, if the crystals are not cleansed between patients, they will continue to absorb unwanted energies, eventually clouding the crystal and restricting its abilities as a healing tool.

The good news is that crystals respond particularly well to cleansing. Start by cleansing your healing crystals with water. This will remove the dust and dirt that accumulates on the crystals' surface. Use running water from your sink only if your tap water is non-chlorinated. You will also need an old toothbrush and some mild soap or detergent. Hold your crystals under the running water, put some detergent on the toothbrush, and brush the crystal surfaces.

Periodically, switch the water between hot and cold. While the soap removes the physical dirt and dust from the crystals, the motion of the running water helps to remove unwanted energies your healing crystals may have picked up during therapeutic use, or while helping to keep the energy in a room uplifted and clear. If your tap water is treated, pour some purified water into a large measuring cup or pitcher. Cleanse the crystals with the soapy toothbrush as before, but rather than using your faucet, rinse them by pouring the purified water over them.

Once the crystals are physically cleansed, you can also clear their energy field using GEMFormulas Energy Clearing Cleansing Spray. This will eliminate unwanted energies that the energy field may have picked up.

The running water method is unable to remove electromagnetic radiation (EMR). Crystals can pick up EMR in environments with high electromagnetic fields, and also if the crystals pick up EMR from a patient during a therapy session. The GEMFormulas EMR Protection Clearing Spray was specifically designed to tackle this problem. To remove EMR from your crystals, spray them with this formula.

Spray the GEMFormulas Diamond Healing Rejuvenating Spray on your crystals to bring forward their true purpose, and uplift their vibrations even more. You should be able to tell, intuitively, how far away to hold the spray, and at what angle. As you continue to customize your use of all three sprays, their cleansing and rejuvenating properties will become more effective.

Using GEMFormulas sprays following a soap and water bath on your crystals will leave them energetically cleansed, and allow their maximum healing potential to shine through.

Looking Into Different Headstone Features

By Tom Tree

When you are looking at the different headstone features that are available you will have many. Not only do you have several choices of the rock that these are made of but many other fabulous features too. There are also features that are less desirable that you may want to be aware of.

Knowing a bit about the different options and what is good and bad will lead you to the right choice for a headstone. Though you will still need to decide these tips can help with that decision in making a lasting remembrance for your loved one. Slate has been a very popular choice of many for years. This stone is one that is very easy to engrave, but it is also one of the softest choices.

Marble is a harder rock and will offer you a more durable choice of headstone. Though surprisingly enough it is not very much more durable than that slate option that we have already talked about. Yes it is something that will create a beautiful remembrance of your loved one. However, over time that engraving may become impossible to read.

Gaining popularity during the 40s was the choice of granite. Not only was it giving a choice in different colors than slate or marble, but it was more durable than those too. It was a choice that would find a stone that was hard to break.

It is something that takes a lot of rock to make though, and can cause a lot of strain on a quarry. Making it an option that at times can seem like something that is harming the environment. But you do have other choices of more environmentally friendly headstones to look into.

While a more popular choice is that of composite plant material. A headstone that will be created and is friendly to the environment, it has become quite popular. With this choice you get a very durable option, plus many colors to choose from too.

You also have the choice of using bronze for those headstones. Bronze is easy to form and shape into many forms, offering a wide variety of choices for the headstone. From the simple look to the more fantastic look that can be created, it has gained in popularity through the years.

Answering The Question, Is A Tombstone The Last Stop For Every Human Being In Life?

Is a headstone the last stop for every human being in this life? For many years, this question has been asked in many forms. When you buy a headstone for someone, you demonstrate love and respect. It is possible that the dead and the living will benefit. Here is a possible explanation.

When you question the final destination, you might actually bring forth more questions. Does a headstone represent the final act? Is that all there is? It is the final act on this earth. However, what really lies beyond death's doors. This question has an answer.

The answer is not simple. It lies within certain areas of proof. These can often be referred to as gray areas. No one has yet been able to prove existence beyond the grave. You might believe it so. However, belief does not equate to fact.

You can have strong faith in your religious convictions. One of your friends may believe in a different religion. You could argue the validity of your beliefs. However, it is very unlikely that it will do much good. Neither of you can be proven right. Neither can be proven wrong. You may reach a stalemate.

Your opinion will guide your faith to your belief system. Are headstones the last journey? This may be true. There is no doubt that headstones bring comfort to the living. That should be sufficient reason for them. There is a chance they can benefit the dead, too. This gives even more reasons to have them.

Summary

Is a headstone the last stop for every human being? There may not be a way to prove which reply is correct. Headstones are a good way to show your respect and love. They aid the living with the grieving process. They help you to retain fond memories. There is a chance that the dead are looking on, also. Headstones may be of benefit to living and dead.

How To Convey Your Own Identity

By Regina Lockhart

Everyone has his or her own identity: the set of thoughts, beliefs, actions, and personality traits that make us who we are. Understanding our own identity can be tremendously helpful in being successful in life, yet many people don't discover who they really are until they're 30 or 40 years old.

We all face challenges in life but the truth is that these challenges only serve as catalysts for us to discover who we really are. It's easy to feel overcome with all of life's difficulties, however, and many people fail to use these challenges to better themselves.

If you're looking to discover your own identity but don't know where to begin, here are a few tips on how to learn more about yourself. These ideas can get you started on the path to self-discovery.

One of the easiest ways to reflect your personality through your outward appearance is through the styles of clothing that you wear. The colors and fashions that you present in your clothing can tell someone a lot about your personality.

Your fashion and style choices say a lot about you, so take the time to look at different styles of clothing to find what fits you. You may find a new interest in fashion once you realize that there's something out there that fits your personality, and it can help you learn something about your own tastes as well.

You can also use your hobbies to express yourself. Those in creative fields such as music and acting spend a tremendous amount of time perfecting their crafts so that they can make their voices heard and express their personalities and points of view.

It's said that actions speak louder than words, which is also true when it comes to our identities. The actions we take on a daily basis can say a lot about who we are on the inside.

Some ideas for positive actions that can help you learn about yourself include volunteering and helping out your community. Not only will these good deeds help you appreciate how helping others can teach you about your own identity, but you'll feel great for coming to the aid of others as well.

Choose From All Headstone Options Available To Meet Your Every Need

By Tom Tree

When you must face this difficult time of decision-making, it will be hard to select a headstone from All Headstone Options Available To Meet Your Every Need. Among the many to choose from, there will be one to fit your needs. But, finding the one most appropriate requires careful appraisal.

A family is often unprepared for this tragedy. If the departed was young, it is even more devastating. Treat them with love and respect by making a careful choice. It will honor them forever.

All cemeteries impose some rules regarding the placement of monuments. Some will only permit level plaques. Their size may be regulated. You may, however, use the inscription you prefer as to font style and color.

If there are no restrictions, your options are expanded. There are taller monuments similar to the ones constructed in ancient Rome and Greece. The materials they are made of resemble granite. They are long-lasting but also more earth-friendly than granite. These represent a person who was regal and strong in life.

If you favor traditional style, you may be willing to conform to the rules imposed by the cemetery. If you want to be laid to rest beside your loved one at a later date, leave room for your name and birth and death dates to be inscribed. Some widows or widowers have their name and date of birth inscribed ahead of time.

Color choices include white, black, gray and blue pearl. The color can also be mottled black or gray. Name and date can be inscribed in black, silver, gold or a custom color. You can also add a beautiful tracery to the stone. A tracery can be either a portrait of the departed or of anything symbolic of them. It can represent something he or she loved in life. This will give comfort to family members each time they visit.

A headstone to memorialize your loved one will be a permanent tribute as well as a comfort to those left behind. A monument can be made with a permanently attached cup to hold fresh flowers. Parents who have lost a child may want a white headstone with a carved angel resting on top of it.

You may not have purchased a cemetery plot. Many people are not prepared for such a tragedy. If making a purchase now, check for one that allows you to use one from All Headstone Options Available To Meet Your Every Need. Find out if the cemetery requires them to be under a certain height, for example. Select the monument before the cemetery. You can then compare the rules in regards to whether they conflict with the size and height you want to use.

Musing And Thoughts On The Nature Of The Color Green

By David Artstone

The color green is more than just a slice of the color wheel. It is a series of tones that have a definite meaning on the psychology and philosophy of the human experience. It is symbolic, both on a societal, and on a personal level. It means something, and that meaning helps to color the world.

The most overriding characteristic of the color green is that it is representative of life. Nature is green, from the leaves on the trees to the grass underfoot; nature is a symphony of green tones, spotted only randomly with other disparate hues. This means that green tones are invariably linked to the natural world, and to the act of growing, and living.

In general this is a good thing, making green a vibrant color that invigorates a space and makes it feel more active. Green tones can give a room a sense of being fresh and lively, and can help to add energy to a room that might otherwise be drab of blas.

However the association of green with life is not always a positive one. Some green tones invoke thoughts of sickness, plague, or death. In those tones the life that the green is associated with is viral or bacterial, or even fungal in nature, and so is actually harmful to humans. When choosing colors in art or design, it is important to be aware of this aspect of certain green tones.

Aside from being vigorous, green is also a soothing tone. It doesn't tend to incite excitability or anger. Instead it creates a soft and peaceful atmosphere. It is a color which is not exactly lethargic, still vigorous, but also not chaotic, just mild.

The color green has a number of symbolic properties which gives it a much richer and more complex identity than just that of a random color. By understanding the meaning behind the hue, you can get a richer vision of the entire world.

The Difference In Philosophies

By Arthur N. Miles

Which comes first, thinking, or the thinker?

The tradition of Western philosophy, at least since Descartes' famously eloquent summary of cogito sum ergo, has held that the thinker came first. This seems intuitive enough; after all, there must be a driver first before there is any driving, just as there has to be a cook first before there is any cooking. So naturally there is a thinker, somebody who thinks, in whose head thoughts are being constructed.

But Eastern traditions hold that thinking comes first, and that it's a result of thinking that a thinker arises. Although perhaps not as intuitive, this can also make perfect sense; take into account that stereotype of waiters and waitresses being actors and actresses - only in-between roles. Is one truly an actor (or writer, or artist) if one doesn't do any acting (or writing, or art)? Would you be a "baseball player" if you didn't even play any baseball?

one is only, say, the Queen of England if she truly does perform all the duties of that office. Likewise, it's thinking that makes the thinker: The act first that then defines the title.

This seemingly easy observation has profound implications for the way we think, if we think about it deeply enough. In the case of our self-identities, these implications are quite unsettling, for it raises the question of whether we are who we really think we are. Much anger in the world arises from what are literally thinking errors, usually involving some aspect of self-identity.

In the most sensational examples, one frequently reads of racists who discover, to their horror, that they have ancestors who were of the very ethnic or racial group they hate. After a tough period of soul-searching, several give up their racism, although not often realizing how literally it was always "all in their heads."

Can You Find A Nice Gravestone That Is Environmentally Friendly?

By Earl Yates

Environmentally friendly tombstone are becoming more popular as people become more aware of our global environment. Most people are seeking green products that are created from sustainable resources. And it is the same for memorials and tombstones. These can be difficult to find, though online searches will prove helpful. Some cemeteries actually limit the use of tombstone materials to two or three choices. Finding a nice green memorial for your loved one can be problematic.

Some forward thinking tombstone manufacturers in the U. K. Have created tombstones made of composite plant materials. These are designed to last for many years, and then gradually dissolve into the ground over time. The U. K. Is facing an extreme shortage of burial space. The burial practices are changing rapidly there because of the lack of space to bury compared to the increasing need for burials. The country is quickly developing burial practices that allow for more natural return to the ground.

In a significant amount of cemeteries, tombstone materials are regulated. Typically, only two or three choices of materials are made available, so that the cemetery might maintain a uniform appearance throughout its grounds. Unfortunately, these materials are traditional granite, sandstone, marble, or solid rock. And often, the expense is quite high and many struggle to afford the literally thousands of dollars that these traditional tombstones may cost.

There is a growing movement toward totally green burial. At these cemeteries, burials take place only in simply pine boxes, or shrouds. Tombstones and memorials may be something as simple as a tree, bush, or native flowers planted to mark the site.

It is not uncommon for family members to find a burial site at a green cemetery using electronic tracking devices. Tracking chips included during internment help family members to locate the plot later on. This modern system assumes that no tombstone will be needed. But, family can choose to use a flat rock or flat tombstone marker to identify the exact spot as long as the natural environment is not disrupted.

For traditionalists, having a large stone professionally engraved is considered to be one of the most environmentally friendly tombstone possible. For the professionals that engrave the stones, there is nothing more natural. Having come from the ground, a stone is viewed as the best thing to use. For many, the stones are the most natural thing, and speak clearly of the earth, so the tombstone is the most lasting and natural memorial possible.

The Problem With Clocks

By David Artstone

The clock is always moving. Its steady beat ticks on and on for eternity. It is always there, watching us, reminding us that were late, that time is limited, that the full glass of existence is leaky, and the fluid is slowly seeping out.

In this way a clock can actually be a pretty creepy item. It's almost a harbinger of fate, a reminder that time is not unlimited, and so we have to make every single moment precious and special. It is a reminder that things change, time passes, the world moves on, whether we are paying attention to it or not.

On the other hand, the clock actually detracts from the quality of the moments in our lives. Instead of re minding us to enjoy every moment, sometimes it looks down at us angrily, demanding that we do more. It reminds us of all the appointments that we have to keep, all of the jobs that we have to do, all of the toil that awaits us, every ticking moment of the day.

This can be almost insidious, with the clock driving us like a slave driver, pushing us ever forward to the next task, never leaving us with enough time to stop, and enjoy the life we are too busy to notice. The clock is actually one of the greatest motivating tools in history. It ensures people will arrive on time; it makes certain that they know how quickly a task has to be accomplished, and it strives always to remind us that there is more to do, before the hand reaches that next line.

This dichotomy is the very essence of the clock. It moves us forward, and yet always reminds us that time is limited. It calls for us to hurry, while also beating steadily, while we sit in quiet contemplation. It has a dual nature, which is akin to the dual nature found in humans everywhere.

A Quick Analysis Of Candide By Voltaire

By Aaron Miller

Candide is a picaresque comedy and social satire by the great man of French letters, Voltaire, proceeding with Job-like determination from one misadventure to another over the course of thirty bitingly humorous chapters. The namesake protagonist is really a nave young man whose innocence serves as a foil for the numerous horrific but equally comedic situations that occur.

His trials and tribulations in the world test his inherent optimism, and by the end of the short novel he appears to be much subdued, although it is not absolutely certain that Candide has turned his back on optimism, as is generally claimed by many a literary scholar.

Indeed, Professor Pangloss' belief that "all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds" is not undermined by all the would-be evidence to the contrary that forms the book's plot, for such assertions are inherently outside the realm of evidence, akin to solipsism. Pangloss' philosophy isn't disproved, however arguably put in doubt, since claiming that everything happens for the best is inherently unprovable - as well as unassailable.

To say that all happens for the best is a statement that cannot be proved or disproved. Indeed, it all depends greatly on semantics (though, as semanticists would argue, everything is semantics), or what one means by such terms as "best" and "possible." It all even goes so far as to concern the very idea of free will and what it means to be a self.

At the end of the book, Candide seems tired of debates, and if there is any philosophy that he would espouse it would probably be the kind of "wise know-nothing practicality" of a Solomon, the Solomon of the Book of Ecclesiastes. Though a product of the Enlightenment, Voltaire's work appears to exhibit what would be recognized centuries later as an existential sentiment, even an existential melancholy if not pessimism.

Your Guidance When Choosing A Headstone

By Tom Tree

When you lay a loved one to rest, you might be left to design the tombstone. What will you put on it? What all do you have to decide? It might seem a little overwhelming which is why we have decided to create this brief guide for you. This will give you an idea about what you need to consider when you are buying a tombstone. Here is some guidance for you.

The first thing that we want to advise you of is to call around. Tombstones are pretty expensive. Therefore, you need to get the best price. However, once you have decided upon the place where you want to purchase the stone then you should go there in person. This is because they normally have things that you can look at to give you an idea of what you are getting.

One of the things that you will have to pick are the materials for the gravestone. Now, this is where it gets a little hectic. This is also where your budget comes into play. The most popular is granite however there are other choices than that. You might even have to pick color as well. Here, you will also want to see samples for a picture might be different in a catalog or online.

The next thing that you are responsible for thinking of is the design. Now, some people have the stones cut. They look like hearts. Some have them circular. There are all sorts of options. Some are stand up headstones and more. Again, we cannot emphasize this enough. Do, ask for samples. This can show you what you are getting.

Last of all, you will have to choose what wording is on the grave stone. For some, they put what is called an epitaph. It commemorates the person in which the tombstone represents. Others have pictures engraved. Think of how the person would want to be honored and you will know what you want on the tombstone.

Once you have all this done, you are done with the tombstone. It doesn't seem like much, but with all the emotions you will be feeling, it might be hard. We understand this. We have helped many families as they work through this process and work to find closure. Give a headstone that leaves a legacy. We are here to help you to make that happen.

5 Stages Of Broken Relationship Grief - How To Overcome Them

By Louis Cruz

Broken relationship grief and emotional grief are not much different. In fact they are about the same since emotional grief also has five stages. They both consist of the loss of someone special. Losing somebody you really love is a very hard event in life. But we all must at some point in the road of life encounter this experience. So knowing the five stages and becoming familiar with the stage in which you are will let you conquer and allow you to endure this hard time.

Denial

A disposition of denial usually happens following a breakup of a close and intimate relationship. A relationship that existed for years and all of a sudden is ended could be very traumatic. You might one day come out of work and expect your ex to be outside waiting for you when you then recall that you broke up and your ex is not coming. You realize then that he or she will never be picking you up at work anymore. This may be a challenging situation to swallow. So you tell yourself, "Is this really happening", or "this cannot be".

Anger

The second stage involves the experience of anger. Each of the stages is crucial but this stage is delicate. With this stage you might be at the chance of manifesting your anger in the wrong manner and to the wrong folks. You may get angry at God. But trust me he is not guilty. Crazy things may go through your mind. You may even have thoughts of doing something negative to your ex as well as rejecting the people who so dearly love you and are trying all they can to give you loving care and comfort in this moment of difficult emotions. This is definitely a stage where you have to make an effort to think prior to talk and dedicate a lot of time to meditation.

Bargaining

This is a very crucial stage. What makes this stage difficult is that the pain is making you wish that nothing is happening and that everything will go back to the way it was before. You wish it to be normal once more. So you start bargaining with your ex making promises hoping that you may convince your ex to come back to you. You may also end up making promises to God hoping that he will assist you to get everything you want. Or perform some miracle or something like that. You get false hopes in this stage. You are still trying to hang on to fake hopes and still suffering from denial.

Depression

During this period you happen to be finally recognizing and feeling that all is lost and that you there are no prospects of you fixing your relationship with your ex. So you sink into the stage of depression. You cannot see a clear foreseeable future. You cannot understand what the future will hold for you and you begin to experience sadness and inner thoughts of bitterness and frustration. The emotions are overpowering and cause you to feel sorry for yourself. You also feel helpless. Each one of these feelings is in their peak with this stage. Of all stages this is a time to look for support in the individuals who love you. They could be family or friends. You must not lose faith at all. Lift your eyes up to God if you're a spiritual person and use all means possible to overcome this phase of melancholy. Realize that as time goes on, you certainly will overcome this phase and realize that the future is really not that dim. You can still find many beautiful things in your life and beautiful people to meet with. This takes us to the next stage.

Acceptance

You have gone through some serious stages of grief due to a broken relationship. But now you have fortunately come to the stage of acceptance. Despite the fact that the majority of the previous feelings still exist but you are not combating a great deal against destructive thoughts and false thoughts of hope. This stage of acceptance is not a stage of resignation. Put simply, you just have not given up on life. Quite the opposite, you now accept that you will not be sharing your life with your ex and reset your mind to accept this new life and realized that there is a future without your ex. You are driven to develop your goals gradually so that you can insure a bright future. You also recognize that your broken relationship is in the past and that you must go forward.

As you undergo these stages you will finally get to the phase in which you will appreciate the things you experienced through this difficult time. Continue to look for support in people and always have someone you can speak with. Pray and meditate a lot.

And remember that hundreds of others are going through your same ordeal. You are not alone. You can and will survive this broken relationship grief.

Memorial Headstone Sayings And Inscriptions

By Tom Tree

Burying a loved one is never easy. We all know how hard it can be. However, the legend you leave behind with memorial headstone sayings and inscriptions are important for the headstone is more for the living. Don't get us wrong, they do honor the deceased, but the words read tell people who you were. That is why there are so many different ones that you can choose from.

Many who are Christians or who have a religious affiliation like to put their favorite verse from the Bible. They find the ones that talk about the life after. It's sort of a nice thing if that is what you believe in. These are just one of the many examples of sayings. To go with that they put their religious symbol as the inscription.

Others choose words of comfort for those who mourn them. It might be something from a poem. It might be something from a song even. These words come from the heart and are there to make the burden light that one might be feeling when a loved one has departed.

Some people like to reference their status. This is especially true for the more notable things that one might belong to. For instance, the military seal can be engraved. To go with those, some have quotes about serving for your country. Others might have a verse from a poem that might tell what they achieved in life.

The last thing that some choose are words of comfort. When you think about the headstone saying, it's not for the dead which these are made. They are made for those who grieve so that they can easily find their departed loved one. So, during these times, the family might like to have a few words of encouragement. For those who are religious, this might be something referring to being with their Heavenly Father. Yet, for some, it might just be remembering the good times.

Whatever you choose, make it come from the heart. It sets a tone for who you were. There are some people who just love looking through graveyards for the different headstones that are there. You can learn a lot about a person from these. So, leave your mark.

Is Illumination For Grave Marker Necessary

By Tom Tree

Having to put a loved one in a grave can be a difficult thing to do. However, you will know that you are going to have to answer many questions before you reach this stage. One of those that you might be have to answer is lighting for headstone necessary. This is an odd question to be asked, but one that if asked you will want to have the answer to.

One thing to consider would be if you are going to be visiting at night. If you are going to visit at night you might want to consider getting this because you will be able to see your loved ones site and be able to know that your at the right spot.

Something else that you can consider is if you have the extra money that these might cost. Some of the cost that you can find would be the initial cost, but then you are going to want to figure out the charging system and how often you are going to need to replace any batteries that these use.

Before making any purchase of these though you need to check with the cemetery that your going to be using and see what restrictions they have. Since some of the ones in your area might not even allow you to have these you could find that if you purchase without checking you could have just wasted your money.

Another thing to consider would be if you are going to want to maintain the upkeep on these for years to come. Since you might not be willing to do this and only keep them up for a year or so you will probably be questioning if it is going to pay off for you in the long run.

Having to bury a loved one is a difficult task to do. However, you are going to want to answer some questions first to see is lighting for headstone necessary or not. If you find that it is then you will want to purchase them.

When Is The Appropriate Time To Start Thinking About Buying A Headstone?

By Tom Tree

No one wants to think about dying. It's an unpleasant thought, but the thing is that we can go about and lose our life at any moment. So, some of you might want to go about and think when is the best time to consider buying a headstone? This is a little hard to say. With this in mind, there are things to consider.

Some will say sooner. They have a design in mind, therefore, they want to know what they are getting. They want it to say something and they don't trust their families to make sure that what they want is what they get. That is just one option.

The first thing is if you have a very dangerous job. Those who risk their life every day is one of those who should think about having plans made ahead of time. One of those things should be buying a headstone. This is something that your family might favor. They might like the fact that this is something that they don't want to have to choose.

Others might find that the family wants a family plot with a family headstone. Therefore, the family should be the ones to choose what they want. They choose to get the headstone early on and with that in mind, they search for something that they both like. This is just another option.

However, sometimes, families like to choose them. They like people to know that the person they buried were amazing family members and more. That is something that gives them comfort. The best thing is to talk with your loved ones to know what they want. Some of them want to do it this way while others choose to do this another way.

This is how some decide when they are going to buy their headstone. When it comes down to it, some don't have the money until they have passed. So, look at what you want. Look at what the family thinks is a good idea. Look at your finances. This could be what tells you what is in your best of interest in ordering your headstone.

Overcome fearfulness; whenever you brace yourself for the worst, it almost always happens. Learn to be done with the past and every negative thing that is there. Aim to accept any future experience with positivity. Do this and you will surely achieve abundance.

Changes are to be welcomed though difficult they may be. Welcome positive changes and aim to make the best out of everything you go through. This holistic attitude gets you abundance.

One you are accomplishing your goals you cannot allow it to stop there. It is important to continue everyday to create abundance you need to be happy. Lose the selfishness in your life. Its one of the easier things to give into but selfishness can take over the body. You will become even more generous when you create abundance when you begin to share with others. Let other people see how well it looks on you and they will try it themselves. Do not focus on yourself; your aches and pains, your work, your life. Instead focus on helping someone out and you will change yourself as well as others.

Focus more on developing and pursuing close relationships with people. This should be desired much more than financial gain. Focus on simple happiness and worthwhile activities that make others happy too. By doing these things you will find yourself with a healthy mind and body and achieve all your goals. The Mystery Of Psychic Powers

By George Eastley

Psychic powers have long been a mysterious and unstudied area. True paranormal powers afford some people with an almost superhuman perception of things that others are not aware of, or simply do no not see. Due to the lack of understanding and information concerning such abilities it is no wonder that many people have been confused and frightened of these powers and talents. While most individuals have some degree of psychic ability only a small percentage are able to display high levels of psychic skills.

The individuals that have psychic powers and are gifted are mostly described to have the extra "sense". Added onto the five senses (smell, vision, touch, hearing and taste) is the ability of a kind of perception that allows them to know, feel, or see things that cannot be senses in the dimension we live.

There are even some individuals whose psychic powers allow them to see the future and its events; other people have a gift known as retro cognition (which is the ability to see into the past and experience what has already happened.); others with their psychic powers can see spirits and forms of energy that is not visible to the naked eye of the people around them.

Most early civilizations saw and recognized these talents of those who possessed psychic powers. Many names have been dubbed to people such as this like soothsayer, wise man, mentalists, spiritualists, fortuneteller, and oracle reader. To be truthful there have been pretenders and have spread the raging fries of controversy.

There is no need to pretend to have such powers, because each person is indeed born with some natural psychic talent. If these powers are embraced and developed they will become stronger and more controlled. Once you learn how to tap into your psychic gifts it will be possible for you to call on them when they are most needed.

If you are prepared to start the journey you must first understand how to meditate and balance the mind, spirit and of course emotions. The ones who really have true psychic powers are able to discharge negative thoughts and emotions. They are actually able to clear their minds so that they may open up to the energy and emotions of everything that exists in the world both the seen and the unseen.

Once you begin to practice daily, regular meditation you will begin to feel the difference. This is when your inner potential starts to surface and you will start to feel more aware and alive than at any other time in your life. Your happiness, creativity and understanding of the world will begin to soar.

You need to schedule in deep meditation once a day. Spending thirty to sixty minutes in quiet and focused concentration will allow your person to let go of any negativity surrounding your emotions or thoughts. Find a place that matches your soul and calms the mind free of any distractions. This place maybe in your home, a cave, or even a park somewhere. As long as you have a secure place of peace to concentrate on the positive with no interruptions you will continue to increase your psychic powers.

Start by studying out your emotions and feelings that go through you being as you are meditating. Find out how to release any negative thoughts with solid concentration coupled the breathing techniques. As you practice the steps mentioned you will learn to discern the types of energies while being more aware of the worlds vibrating occurrences. Growing you psychic powers solely rests on you being attuned to the energy that is connected to all things in the world.

It is also necessary for you to practice your psychic powers in order to improve and strengthen them. You may want to try your hand at using tarot cards or palmistry readings. Among your friends and family members will be several volunteers who want to put you to the test. Remember that the person that you are providing such readings for must be willing and open to the opportunity. Their level of willingness helps keep the channels of psychic communication clear and makes it easier for you to sense any vibrations and images.

A sure way to increase your psychic powers is to do it every day. If you practice meditation enough to hone you skill you will be able to see the auras that surround people. You will soon enough see that you can actually see color and sizes of other people's auras without concentrating to hard.

Growing your psychic powers will allow you to see things like illnesses in people that do not know they are even sick. You will be able to discern true intentions of people by simply looking at their aura. As your psychic powers continue to grow strong you will be able to catch glimpses of past, present, and even future events. At this point, you must work incredibly hard and develop your psychic powers even further so you can channel these abilities on command.

The ability to speak with the "ghosts" of deceased individuals has been a topic of interest, curiosity, fascination and controversy for many centuries. There is good reason why younger children are usually the ones who can see and speak with these "spirits".

Our psychic powers are naturally much stronger when we are children. We have not had lessons on how to fear and avoid the unknown. By tearing down the defenses built up in our minds we can communicate openly. Adults still have psychic powers but you must be retrained to not fear what your eyes or the eyes of others do not see.

Always bear in mind that psychic powers are always strong in children since they are very open to ideas they do not quite comprehend. Instead of tuning out a spirits presence or a voice they will try and communicate back, it is only when adults interfere they begin to force them to erect defenses against what is unknown.

Try taking a lesson from children, opening up your mind, and freeing it of preconceived notions about spirits and the unseen. If your fear can be removed and negative feelings and thoughts about psychic powers and ghosts it will be much more simple to reconnect with the energies of life that exist in the universe all around us.

Having psychic powers is a true natural phenomenon. The only difference is how much ability you are born with and how much you block out as you try to develop your psychic powers. If time and effort is poured into developing your psychic powers, you can strengthen your gifts and change the world around in you in a great and positive way.
