Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

God Created Us In His Image Is A Phrase That Stirs Controversy

By Claudine MacDonald

There is a wholesome pride which comes when people are confident and accepting of how they are created. Whether they are tall or short, heavy or thin, or move around with assistance or without, accepting the truth of self and being happy because of it can be a really good situation. However the confidence and pride could go astray when people start comparing themselves to others while assuming they are superior to everyone else. This type of selfish comparison can turn divisive and create worlds of heartaches and pain. One should feel peace in the fact that God created us in his image.

For centuries the world has been shared the truth that man has been created in the likeness of God. For humankind to be created means that there is a power that is vastly more intelligent than man himself. After all, the body is made up of so many moving parts that are made to work together in harmony.

When a human egg is fertilized it grows by taking on natural substances that can be found in nature. A human continually uses food, air, and other parts of nature to stay alive. And finally when the body dies it goes back to a pre human and totally natural state. Man does not have the ability to create life, or even make the items that go into life itself.

God must be powerful to create such a complex and beautiful system. This may be the reason why many take pleasure in saying that they are created in his likeness. But there are those that want to discredit others as being a godly image

Racism has infected the world or ages. People of color have been considered ungodly when compared to white people. On the other hand, there have been people of color assuming that white people themselves are ungodly. People that are born wealthy can assume that they are the image of God while poorer people are the opposite.

Religions tends to play a big part in this. There are many who are affiliated with a religion. They can feel their religious approach places them in the best position to be like God. They could also frown on other forms of religion, sharing thoughts as to why they are sub par.

The world will be a better place when prejudices toward differences and racial hatreds are totally removed. The keys like in a more complete understanding of what it means to be made in his image. A persons main job is to serve God. There should be a will to be in total fellowship with Him. Being of is image says that one has the opportunity to connect with him. Everyone has the chance to have this type of connection.

Humans need to understand that being Godlike is not about the things that can break down once the body is dead. It is not about skin, features, or the material things one possesses. God created us in His image and that means most of all that we are loving, compassionate, and have the capacity to make wise choices.
