Most people on earth want to live long. No wonder they try to work hard and get the best food, clothing and shelter for their support. In their quest, they often fail to acknowledge the originator of life and ask Him about His own ideas. God wants his children to study Bible scriptures on Life so that they can always know His divine plan for them.
John 3:16 explains the requirement for living forever. Of course, this is the kind that most people want. However, the only way to get this is by accepting Jesus, God's son, who was sent to die for man's sins. God gave Jesus to the world because He loved it dearly and was ready to do anything to save it from the impending doom.
The concept of eternal life from Christ Himself is found in Romans 6:23. The opposite of what it says is also found in the same verse- people who sin are on their way to eternal death. The verse emphasizes the need to live righteously and remain dead to sin.
In John 10:10, Jesus is seen as the only one that can sustain you while Satan is seen as an enemy and life destroyer. Man's responsibility is to resist everything that comes from Satan and embrace whatever Jesus offers. Satan comes with beautiful things that can destroy and steal man's divine inheritance.
God knew how challenging it would be for man to live righteously so He equipped him with the Bible for him to study day and night. One of the numerous reasons why man should be occupied in this is in Hebrews chapter four verse twelve. This verse describes God's word as active and sharp.
The origin of life in man can be found in the Old Testament. In Genesis 2:7, God formed man from the dust and breathed into his nostril so he can start living. The truth is that God who started this in man is faithful and able to continue supplying every thing man needs to live happily on earth. Unfortunately, a lot of people do not acknowledge this so they resort to dubious means of getting what they need.
Galatians 2:20 has the clue for people who want to live long. Those who follow the devil will die but those who live by the help of the Holy Spirit will live long. You must accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior and allow Him to control your activities, no matter how difficult they may look.
The simplest way to get this is shown in John 5:24. This verse says that hearing and believing the word are the only requirements. Gone are the days when mediators were needed and various kinds of offerings were made for sustenance. God is always there for those who fear and honor what is written in the scriptures.
The world today is full of several trials and temptations. As it draws nearer to its end, the devil is working zealously to make sure nobody gets God's ultimate package for His children. However, studying Bible scriptures on life is an effective way of being sensitive to God's promises and claiming everything He has in store for His people. God loves man and He is ready to make them comfortable even here on earth.
