Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Also known as lucid dreaming, conscious dreaming is the state of being aware and in control while you are dreaming. That is to say, you know that you are dreaming while you are in the middle of a dream! When you are conscious that youre dreaming, you can control the events of your dreams.

The power of completely controlling your dreams might seem like something out of a fantasy novel, but it's actually quite possible for anyone. Lucid dreaming is actually fairly easy, and offers you a wonderful way to express your inner desires and feelings. There are even tried and tested methods to get you into a lucid dream state.

Before you get started, you should decide why it is that you want to become a lucid dreamer. Do you want to use your conscious dreams to help you achieve goals in life, or just as a way of enjoying your dreams more?

The next step is to begin practicing the techniques which can produce the appropriate state of mind for lucid dreaming to occur. The first step for most people is dream recall, which is simply training yourself to remember your dreams.

If you want to begin conscious dreaming, you'll need to be able to recall all the details of the dreams you have each night. There are a number of ways to do this, but the most common is keeping a dream diary. Place it by the bed, and every morning, enter all the details you remember from your dreams as soon as you wake up. It's important to make sure you do this right away, because you start to lose information the longer you're awake.

Before long, youll find yourself able to remember more of your dreams " and your dream diary can help refresh your memory. Once your mind is trained to remember dreams, the ability to recognize them while they are happening will follow easily. You might, like many do, come to the awareness suddenly that you are dreaming!

One other method of inducing conscious dreaming is waking up a few hours earlier than you usually do, then trying to get back to sleep. Do this on a regular basis, and lucid dreaming is a lot more likely.

Try to keep track of your sleep schedule " this will help you to figure out when the best times for conscious dreaming are. Be sure not to deprive yourself of too much sleep, as you are actually less likely to have lucid dreams when sleep deprived.

Thankfully, conscious dreaming can be a good remedy for insomnia and other sleep disruptions! Once you develop lucid dreaming, you will be able to put a halt to the thoughts which keep you awake at night.

You may think that learning lucid dreaming takes years of practice, but in fact its not so hard at all to learn " with just a little practice, you can be a conscious dreamer too!

Focusing

Ideally you need to imagine this person in your mind, and it needs to be associated with happy thoughts. Now you need to interrupt your focus in order to sever any contact with the other person. They should in turn feel that the contact has been broken and that communication has been lost, and as a result, they should then try and re-establish a connection from their side.

The reason why it is so important that you learn how to focus is so that when you eventually start training with a partner, you will already have conditioned your mind to be receptive with regards to images and impressions.

Practicing With a Partner

Once you have a partner, the two of you need to decide which one will be the sender, and which one will be receiving. Ideally, the sender should only attempt to project images of simple things, preferably of things which are brightly colored and easy to recognize.

On the other hand, the receiver should always keep a pen and paper nearby in order to make a note of any impressions or thoughts they receive.

When the two of you have reached the end of your practice session, then of course you should both compare your notes in order to see just how accurate the two of you have been. Why Everyone Should Know How To Astral Project

Everyone is born with the ability to astral project. Most people are not even aware that they are traveling. What you want to learn is to astral project consciously you want to control where you send your astral body and remember what it does.

We will assume right now that you know what the astral body is and what the astral plane is. The purpose here is to offer a few different ways to learn how to astral project. Astral projection is a personal experience, so it is important that you figure out which techniques will work best for you.

The first technique is one that you can do when you are in bed and getting ready to go to sleep. This is a simple five step process.

*The first thing you want to do is get completely relaxed. You can't astral project unless you achieve a deep level of relaxation. Lie down in bed, and begin with your toes. Tense them up for a few moments, then consciously relax every muscle. Do the same thing to every muscle, working your way up your body until you finish with your head and face. This may feel unfamiliar at first, but you will soon get used to this method of relaxation. Your body may feel rather heavy. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

*Second, you need to deepen and slow your breathing. There is a technique that is used for meditation, and what you want to do it breathe in deeply and pay attention to the way the air feels as it enters your lungs and moves down through to your diaphragm. Then you exhale completely, slowly and as you feel the air leaving your lungs and going out of the body you are relaxing your body and mind. It is important that as you breathe in deeply that you do not fall asleep, to help avoid falling asleep you may want to focus on the center of your forehead.

*Third, pay attention to how you feel physically. You should feel as if your body were very heavy. It should feel like it would be very difficult to move about. Once you feel these sensations, turn your attention to your astral body. Your astral body should feel light and weightless. It should feel free. Close your eyes to see your astral body. You are as weightless as bubbles or feathers floating on the breeze. The weight of your physical body does not affect the lightness of your astral body.

*At this stage, many people using this method say that they can see their darkened room even with their eyes closed. It may appear to be filled with purple light. If you get to this stage, start focusing your attention on the light fixture on the ceiling.

*For the fifth step, imagine that you are pulling the ceiling light toward you. As you pull on the light, you will most likely feel like you are floating. It is very important to remain awake. Now that you are aware of the floating sensation, you may be able to look down on your sleeping physical body on the bed.

There you have just had a successful astral projection! Now you can begin to travel through the astral plane. If this method did not work for you, you may want to try this next technique.

This method is called gazing. Try this at bedtime. You need something to focus on, such as a picture, the moon, a crystal, or some other object.

Once you've chosen your object, lie down and get comfortable. Turn your attention to the object. As you keep staring at it, your eyelids should begin to feel heavy. No matter what, keep staring at the object. While your eyes will tend to close eventually, you should still be able to see the object. While you continue to stare, you may feel the urge to sit or stand up. When you do get up, don't be surprised if you see your physical form peacefully asleep.

Do not lose heart if neither of these techniques works the first time or even the second. Try them a third time, if they still dont work, there are other techniques that you can use. It is important that you dont get frustrated, which will increase anxiety and be counter productive in promoting relaxation.

It is important that you realize that tools and techniques aren't really holding you back. The main obstacle to successful astral traveling is your own subconscious mind. You may need to give your subconscious mind reassurances that it is okay for your astral body to separate from your physical body for a while. Affirmations are an excellent way to send this message. Once your subconscious mind accepts this message, astral projecting will be a piece of cake!

There are also a few other short cuts to help you astral project very rapidly. Without them it can take a long time to get into the right state of mind but if you use them it can happen very fast after your first attempt!

Hypnosis may help you achieve a relaxed state much more quickly. If you use a quality guided hypnosis session, it can also help explain how to astral project so you don't have to worry about remembering what to do next. This lets you just follow the session and relax, increasing your chances of having a successful astral projection.

Three Ways to Learn Clairvoyance

Can anyone learn clairvoyance? The truth is that to a certain extent, yes! What exactly is clairvoyance, and what does it mean to try to learn it? This is something that you might want to think about!

The issue that many people face is that they are using different meanings for the word clairvoyance. There are several different ways to define this term, depending on who you ask, and you'll find that one common meaning is the ability to see things that are happening far away without the use of technology or your six senses, while another definition is to be able to see things happen before they actually happen. The truth of the matter is that at the bottom of it, clairvoyance is the ability to know more information than you can perceive from your five senses.

True, some people do have extraordinary clairvoyant abilities, such as the ability to see, hear, feel, smell, or even taste something far away, or even to know things about the past or future that they couldnt possibly know through any other means. Step 1: Look Around

The vast majority of people go through life so hyper-focused on the task at hand that we become oblivious to everything else around us. Yet all these tiny details hidden in plain sight around us is exactly what our subconscious mind picks up on and needs to form its instincts and hunches. If you can learn to increase your perception, to become more aware of the world around you in all of its detail, you'll being giving your subconscious mind more of the fuel it needs to power your clairvoyant sixth sense.

Remember that you are not going to be able to do this without practice, however. There are definitely things that you can do when you need to increase your perception. Just slow down to begin with. Relax, take deep breaths and try moving around more slowly. Take away any distractions that you might be using to entertain yourself. Take yourself for a drive and leave the radio off. This will make you a lot more aware of the world around you, whether it is simply of your car and your own heartbeat or the world around you and how you are moving in it.

Finally, occasionally do a 'mini-meditation'. This consists of closing your eyes, taking a deep breath, and forcing yourself to relax. When you open your eyes again, you'll be more aware of your surroundings. This only takes a few seconds, but you'll be surprised by the difference it makes.

Method 2: Learn to Meditate

Consider making time every day to meditate for at least half an hour. Good meditation goes a long way towards clearing your conscious mind and letting the things underneath rise to the surface. You can communicate with yourself in a much better fashion and you'll be more relaxed and more refreshed in the long run.

However, finding the time to meditate and to make sure that you are going to be getting the results that you need can be difficult. Just when you have everything set up the way that you want it to be, you'll discover that you need to get up and do some cooking or that there is a call that you need to make. When you want to get out of the same cycle of thoughts that you have been, remember that you can use a focus and a mantra.

First, when you try to meditate, your senses distract you. Even sound you hear or thing you feel distracts you. Therefore, instead of trying to shut your senses down, give them something to keep them busy by staring at a focus. A candle flames makes a good focus. There's not really a lot to see to distract you, yet the flame flickers and shifts just enough to keep you watching and your mind occupied.

Second, our conscious mind, our thoughts, never shuts down"we're always thinking about something. Rather than try to silence it, occupy and distract it with a mantra. A mantra is phrase, poem, or prayer that you repeat over and over again in your head just to occupy your mind. It can be anything"a prayer, a favorite poem, even song lyrics"just as long as you know it by heart and can recite it with much thought. Some people pray the rosary as they meditate"the endless string of memorized Hail Marys occupies their conscious mind perfectly.

Method 3: Just Trust Yourself

At the end of the day, you are not getting very far if you do not trust yourself. Don't doubt what you see or feel and make sure that you don't dismiss your feelings as being the product of an overactive imagination. Remember that you get hunches and feelings for a reason and that your subconscious mind is definitely trying to tell you something. What does your subconscious mind want to let you know?

This is not going to be easy, but the ore you listen and the more you trust your instincts, the better of you are going to be. You can encourage and nurture your sixth sense into developing and maturing.

5 Tough Questions for Atheists

"If God exists,why is there so much evil?"

"Why are there so many hypocrites in the church?"

"If God exists, wouldn't He provide more evidence than we have?"

Usually, it is Christians and sometimes other religious believers who must justify their beliefs, but most don't realize that atheists, agnostics, and skeptics also must answer tough questions and have their beliefs placed under the microscope!

While the lead questions above have great answers, don't let the skeptic off the hook! Christian answers to ultimate questions shouldn't be the only focus:

1) Why is there something rather than nothing?

The "big bang" has a wealth of scientific evidence confirming it. Belief in the "big bang" requires one to believe that the universe began a finite time ago. Not only is there scientific evidence confirming the big bang, but there are also a number of philosophical reasons for the beginning of the universe (as opposed to a universe that's always existed). But this runs smack dab into atheism--out of nothing, nothing comes. Things don't just pop into existence uncaused. Here we have a limited number of possibilities: either something outside the material universe caused it, or it all came from nothing. Which is more reasonable?

2) What is it for something to be "good"?

This goes much deeper than the common atheist rallying cry: "you can be good without God." If the material world is all that exists, then the atheist and believer alike might *think* they are acting good, but "good" is without robust meaning. All that exists are preferences, pragmatics, and the herd morality. Upon what basis do you say racism or homophobia is wrong? Not wrong "for you," but wrong, period. What would you say to someone who comes from another culture who holds those things to be good? Is *anything* wrong universally (rape? murder? judging?), and if so, what are you prepared to do to enforce that morality? Why should someone be concerned, on atheism, about obeying the herd morality and following our evolutionary past, especially when he can get away with it and benefit from it personally?

3) Matter stays inanimate no matter how complicated you arrange it. In the absence of an immaterial mind, how can consciousness arise from a chunk of complicatedly arranged material (i.e, the brain)?

Identifying a brain state and causally connecting it to a mental state is not enough. Mental states have properties that physical states don't possess, so the former cannot be reduced to the latter. For example, physical states are third person whereas mental states are private.

4) If the physical world is all there is, is there free will?

5) The last one comes from another blogger: if Christ appeared to you and said that He really rose from the dead and is God, how would you respond? Witnesses and tests confirm you weren't dreaming--it was really God! What's next?

The skeptic's answer to this one will shine a light on his heart and motivation. Some will not follow God no matter what the evidence, and that renders their complaint about lack of evidence as a smoke screen. Their attitude, not the evidence, is the problem.

If you are a Christian, don't feel bashful about asking tough questions to skeptics! Skeptics, don't feel bashful about thinking about these questions--the answers might surprise you.

Start To Use Your Amazing Mind Power!

Just in case you didn't already know, your mind is like a magnet. What it thinks and sees, it will eventually attract. There is this thing that is called the law of attraction, and it deals very strongly with mind power. The law of attraction is basically the act of believing something is going to happen so strongly that it does. You can have the best life if you want it, but you have to be able to think it, feel it, and envision it first. This may take some practice, but success only comes with persistence in any endeavor. The power of the mind is amazing.

We all have mind power that we just do not realize. In fact, research has proven that we only use about 10% of our brain power. What a waste! We seem to only stick to the simple things and bypass the rest. That could be why we seem to think life is nothing but trouble. That leads to negative thoughts because we do not think anything can happen. We think negative, so we draw negativity to ourselves. The truth is that by thinking this way we are just manifesting the negativity in our own life.

The reality of life first happens within the mind. Whatever you have accumulated thus far has been a result of your mind power. It has been said that everyone has psychic and extra sensory skills or 'powers', but in reality, it is simply a state of advanced mind power. If there is something that you want in life, then all you have to do is think it. Those who are always expecting the worst will always end up with the worst.

There are a few things that you can do to start to increase your existing amount of mind power. One of those things involves the use of visualization. This is a very powerful technique because it will help you to exercise your current state of mind power, and might possibly be able to 'flip the switch on' for you in terms of gaining more.

Sit down and start pushing images to your powerful subconscious mind. You can do this by writing things down. Keep them positive so that it is only positive things that you draw to your life. Start by thinking about how you want your life to be and then you can start this process.

Write things down like a story on a piece of paper. Use your goals to help your create your visions and guide you on what to write. Your goals should be the basis for your visualization. Write things down until what you write starts to become reality.

Another way to increase the amount of mind power that you have is by affirmations. Affirmations are nothing more than positive bits of encouragement that you give yourself throughout the day. It can be a positive amount of encouragement about anything. For example, you can increase your mind power by saying that you will lose those 10 pounds by the end of the month. Keep telling yourself those positive things, and everything will just naturally start to come to you. It doesn't matter if you are not used to it at first, anything done consecutively for 28 days automatically becomes a habit.

Another thing that you can do to help develop more mind power is through brainwave entertainment. What this is, is synchronizing your brainwaves through audio technology. The brain naturally can do several things. One of those things is the ability to heal itself. Through brainwave entertainment you can enhance this ability. Other things that happen is enhanced memory and strengthening of natural psychic powers. This is rather advanced, but it really does work.

Hypnosis works to enhance mind power by relaxing and getting into your subconscious mind. Take for instance those who use hypnosis to quit smoking. What do they do? They simply go to a session, relax, and listen to someone tell them over and over again that they do not want to smoke anymore, and that they no longer have the desire, they are ready to quit, and then it happens for them. All they did was get the person who did not believe in themselves to become convinced through their subconscious minds that they can quit.

So you see, everyone has mind power, it is just a matter of belief in one's abilities. It may not happen overnight for everyone, but you can change your circumstances and turn your bad luck into good. You must learn to communicate your energies out into the universe and know that what you put out there will manifest itself back to you. But it all starts within the subconscious mind. Bodybuilding Tips, How To Train Your Body After Age 40

You have heard it said that your age is merely a number and in many respects that is true, however when it comes to getting in shape it can play an important role in how. Many people use their age as an excuse not to get in shape or lead a healthy lifestyle including a decent workout regimen.

Age is not a sufficient excuse not to exercise and try to stay fit. When done correctly you can incorporate workouts, weight lifting and healthy diet in such a way that you remain healthy, fit and active for years and it does not matter how old you are when you start.

If you are interested in reshaping your body, becoming healthy and fit, losing weight and or increasing bone density weightlifting and bodybuilding are exactly what you are looking for. Besides everyone knows that people who are fit and trim have better self-esteem and generally feel better about life as a whole.

People who exercise also experience the release of endorphins from the brain, which helps, maintain a sense of happiness and well-being.

Okay, now that we have discovered some of the benefits let us talk about the reality of being 40 and trying to get into shape. You may have to change up a few things in the routines but you do not have to fall victim to a too old mentality.

As we get older, our muscles and joints are less limber and this means that adequate stretching and warm up prior to exercising is very important. A 15-minute time allotment that is devoted to necessary stretching and limbering up routines will benefit you by increasing flexibility, and decreasing the chance of muscle or joint sprain or damage. The more completely you stretch the better conditioned your muscles will become.

Next in line is a 15-minute cardiovascular workout. You can do this on an elliptical machine, stair stepper, treadmill or stationary bike. Do not approach this as a marathon, however you should get your heart rate sped up a bit and continue to build on the limbering you have just finished. This point of your routine is to get the blood flowing and put your body on notice that you are serious about getting some work done.

The next step should be to work out with light weights, if you are doing circuit training or a free weight routine, have a quick run through without the stress of heavy weights, and then follow this brief warm up by doing reps with the appropriate weights.

Many bodybuilders favor the pyramid system, which means you do more reps with less weight, and as you add weights, you will begin to decrease the number of reps that you do. This method of weightlifting has great success for those who want to add muscle and bulk to their bodies.

Concentrate on the proper form at all times, even if you have to cut back on the weight or the reps, having your form correct with each lift must be foremost in your mind. Not only does this maximize your results, it cuts down on the risk of injury.

Your session with weights should be kept to about 30-45 minutes and you will want to repeat your training at least four days every week. Once you have completed your weight training it is helpful to run another cardiovascular routine partly as a way to wind it all down but more so to strengthen your heart and lungs.

No Sleep Means No Muscle Gain In Bodybuilding

If you are going to the gym everyday and working out then you know how much energy and focus it takes to do so. There are a lot of people out there who do not realize that sleep affects your bodybuilding.

Having a bad or inconsistent sleeping pattern can cause you to lose results in the gym. Getting a good workout in the gym is not the only thing that sleep affects in your daily routine. Lack of sleep can cause you to not have the energy to do your normal things during the day, and will set you back tremendously. So the worst thing you can do for you body is not sleep, or have an inconsistent sleeping pattern.

This article will show you the various reasons why sleep is so important to your workout.

For starters, your body recovers and rebuilds muscle while you are asleep. This is the crucial time when other parts of your body are shut down and not consuming energy or internal resources that your body uses to repair damages from bodybuilding.

Without enough of this quality rest, simply put, your body won't have enough time or availability to repair old muscle and build new muscle. You will be severely inhibiting your gains by not allowing your muscles to heal, mend and grow properly.

The energy that is consumed while working out is extreme, and if you do not get sleep you will go to the gym tired, leaving you with little results. When you start going to the gym tired it will no longer be fun and you will start taking days off.

If you are big into working out, then you know it takes motivation to get in there on a daily basis and get a good workout. You have to be able to get in there and get yourself pumped up so that you can get a hard workout.

Lack of sleep can cause mood swings, where normally at that time of the day you are exciting and ready for a hard workout, now you're tired and unmotivated. Getting little to no sleep will make it so you get behind on other things you do, because you are moving and working slower. This means that some days you may not get to the gym, and that's how a decline starts. Once you take one day off, then you start making excuses for taking more days off.

This is as much of a mental game, as it is a physical one. You need to make sure that you get the proper amount of sleep so that chemical balances in your body are normal, providing you with a good rhythm.

With all of that said, something that is very important to bodybuilding is your body's ability to burn fat. In order to do this you must have a good metabolism. When you sleep your body releases hormones into your bloodstream that help fuel your metabolism and keep it high.

So how much sleep should I be getting? No matter what you want to maintain a consistent sleep schedule. So that means that sleeping for 2 hours on Friday night and then sleeping for 12 hours on Saturday night doesn't amount to the same benefits as sleeping 7 hours both nights in a row.

The best thing to do is to set yourself up with a routine that gives you enough time to get rest at night. This way your body can repair itself and help you to achieve your fitness goals.

Are All Spiritual Beliefs True?

"We should celebrate all things spiritual! Afterall, all religions basically teach the same thing: respect and love for one's neighbor and doing good to human kind."

This isn't just a "man on the street" belief. Lawyers, doctors, and scientists hold to this as well. It is murmured in quaint coffee shops around the world and shouted from the couch of your favorite talk show. Oprah has made a career on this brand of pluralism.

Before we tip our hat to such a notion, though, we should evaluate it. Is it really true?

If you actually study the main tenets of the world's major faiths, you'll find out that they are quite different.

Christians believe Jesus was crucified on a cross. There is no Christianity without that belief! Muslims, however, reject that; what's more, to Muslims, holding to the crucifixion of Jesus is no small thing--it's a big no-no! Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was the archangel Michael, and Christians reject such a thing. God is a personal creator who is separate from His creation in Christianity, whereas all is one in Hinduism. All these beliefs are main pillars of each faith. Even each faith's beliefs in the afterlife are worlds apart--heaven, reincarnation, nothing, etc.

If you reflect further, you'll see that these can't all be true! God is either personal or impersonal. He either exists or He doesn't. In no case can God be both personal and impersonal, real and fake. Jesus either is the Messiah or He is not. In no case can He be both the Messiah and not the Messiah. When you die, you either are reincarnated, go to heaven, rot in the ground, or hitch a ride on a comet...but you can't do it all!

I've heard an objection that when it comes to religion, "what's true for you might not be true for me." Is this a good way of thinking? It is not like we are talking about food tastes, which are subjective. No, these are all claims about what really happens after you die. They apply to reality. That doesn't mean they are false; it just means that they can't all be true.

Another objection is that all this reflects a western way of thinking. In the west, so the argument goes, it is either this OR that, but in the east, many people are comfortable embracing contradiction. A more common way to think in the east when it comes to contradicting beliefs is "both/and."

Is this correct? No. It might seem on the surface that the "both/and" reigns supreme in the east when it comes to contradictory beliefs, but nothing could be further from the truth. Notice that you can run, but you can't hide from the either/or: the easterners who tout the "both/and" logic choose that way of thinking *over and against* the so-called western view. The either/or pops up in pesky ways, doesn't it?

Be skeptical of the grand claims of pluralism. Sure, Gatorade and anti-freeze might both be green liquids, but it's the differences that matter when choosing which to drink!

How To Become A Clairvoyant

Clairvoyance is considered to be a paranormal term that originated in the French language. In the French language the word 'clair' means 'clear' and 'voyance' translates to 'vision', so a 'voyant' would be known as a visionary. Therefore, 'clairvoyance' translates to 'clear vision' and a 'clairvoyant' would be known as an individual that is a 'clear visionary.' However, the literal translations are neither very helpful nor accurate.

Further complicating the definition is that the term 'clairvoyant' has been used to refer to different things over the years. 'Clairvoyant' gradually emerged as a term applying to someone who displayed a range of paranormal, or psychic, abilities. The only all-encompassing definition that really fits is that a clairvoyant is someone with the ability to know things about a location, object, person, or event by means others than the five physical senses. In other words, clairvoyance refers to a form of extra-sensory perception (ESP).

Clairvoyance normally involves a person with clairvoyant abilities knowing that something is taking place at that moment, but in a distant location that would be out of their normal range of physical senses. There have also been cases documented of various clairvoyants knowing about things that have happened either in the past or in the future. Due to this, clairvoyance is often considered by many people to be some sort of prophecy or precognition.

The methods by which the clairvoyant gathers the hidden information can vary, but they usually fall into one of six major categories. Clairvoyance is probably most associated with the first form. The first form is known as remote viewing. While remote viewing, the clairvoyant is able to see a person, event, object, or location that is hidden. This usually takes the form of a visual hallucination or seeing something from within their minds eye.

The next form of clairvoyance is called clairaudience. With clairaudience, the clairvoyant is able to gain the information about a remote event through sound. They are able to hear noises and voices that others and recording equipment are unable to. In cases where a clairvoyant hears the voices of the dead, this phenomenon crosses the line and enters into the mediumship.

The third type of clairvoyance is clairsentience. In clairsentience, the person gains knowledge though touch and feeling. In some cases this may take the form of feeling actual object that are not there. In other cases, it is more a feeling or 'vibe' that the clairvoyant feels from particular remote people, locations, or events.

The fourth type is clairalience. In clairalience, the person gains knowledge of remote locations and events through their sense of smell. For example, they may smell the grass and wildflowers of a spring meadow, followed by gunpowder and the tang of blood. Of course, no one else around can smell these things, and there is no apparent source for the various scents.

The next type of clairvoyance is clairgustance. With this type of clairvoyance, a person that has an empty mouth is able to distinctly taste different flavors even though there is no evident source. They may also be able to accurately describe the taste different things from a distance.

The sixth and final form of clairvoyance is claircognizance. This is perhaps the most hard to define or explain. In claircognizance, a person knows something about a remote person, object, location, or event, but can't explain how they gained that knowledge; they just know it. To some extent, claircognizance is a catch-all category of clairvoyance.

There have been many documented occurrences of people who are clairvoyant throughout history from different cultures around the globe. Instances of clairvoyance have also been incorporated into some of the world's most widespread religions.

In Buddhism for example, clairvoyance is considered of the six special senses humans are capable of at advanced levels of meditation. In this case, it refers to being able to feel vibrations put out by other people.

Among Catholics, clairvoyance is often considered miraculous. Over 500 hundred years ago, Saint Claire, a disciple of Saint Francis, had a vision in which she witnessed the death of Saint Francis, even though she was miles away at the time. Interestingly, the Catholic Church made Saint Claire the patron saint of television. 'Television' translates to 'seeing over a distance.'

There are, of course, many who are sceptical of clairvoyance. It is part of human nature for people to deny the existence of something just because they do not understand it. For example, even the existence of magnetism and electricity was denied by 'scientists' not that long ago historically.

No matter what the skeptics are saying, nobody has ever been able to completely disprove that clairvoyance is possible. In fact, there is plenty of evidence that shows that there are many genuine clairvoyants among us. In general, parapsychologists, scientists, and the public is starting to become more open minded and seem more ready to accept the fact that clairvoyance is very real.

Just because we don't understand how it works, there is no reason to deny its existence. It has been suggested that in the distant past, all humans used to be clairvoyant but for some reason lost their powers. It is thought that everybody could again become clairvoyant if they make the effort and choose to develop these powers.

Telepathic Communication - An Introduction

Ninety percent of our brains are unused by humans. What that part of the brain is for remains undiscovered. The remaining ten percent is used to function in daily life.

What most of us aren't aware of is that we're all born with the innate ability to communicate with each other without having to speak a word out loud or even move a muscle physically.

We are taught from birth to not pursue our natural ability to send and receive telepathic messages.It would more than likely be considered "weird" or a sign of a mental problem if we did recognize this ability.

We involve ourselves with other things in life and forget about such nonsense until the day comes that we know something we should not and ponder for a short time only to push it further to the back of our mind again.

Is this forewarning a form of clairvoyance? Or did your mind simply receive a subconscious telepathic call from the person calling you?

Whether we realize it or not we already send and receive telepathic signals. It is possible to learn to do this deliberately whenever we want. It takes a little practice, but is well within the scope of our brains.

The natural ability to interact using telepathy is undeveloped in most people. It is not used or recognized as we go through day-to-day life. Most do not think they have this power or know how to use it. A person has to focus on contacting another for it to be effective.

According to scientists our thoughts have a certain frequency, somewhat like radio frequencies. This frequency can be measured. Directing these thoughts to a targeted area is the key to using your mind as a means of communication.

Here are some ways to help improve your telepathic abilities.

*Get relaxed - You need to put yourself into a trance like mode, this will allow your mind to receive messages that others are trying to send you or if you want to connect with someone. When your mind and body are relaxed you are open to send and receive telepathic messages.

If you're working on your telepathic ability alone then spend some time learning how to bring yourself into a trance state.

*Learn to focus - Find a place where you will not be disturbed, relax your mind and body. Picture the one you want to communicate with mentally. Send the message and assure yourself they are getting it. Don't make it a command just tell the person you would like to hear from them and think pleasing thoughts about them.

*Belief - You need to believe that the other person is receiving your message. Keep an open minded attitude as you learn to expand your telepathic focus.

*End Your Projection - Rather than let your mind trail off onto other things, simply withdraw your thoughts back into yourself and stop projecting. The reason for this is quite simple.

As soon as you are finished and withdraw your good feelings from the person, he or she will be prompted to contact you. This is because you cut off the communication and the person will no longer feel your presence. They will miss you more and take steps to reach out to you.

Practicing by yourself in this way will help you use your mind to develop your telepathic talents. There are also exercises for you to do with another person to advance your skills.

How to learn more by using two people

*Sender and Receiver - Decide which of you will be the message sender and which will be the receiver. For the purpose of this example, we'll assume you are the sender.

The receiver should have a pad and pen ready to jot down any impressions he might receive. If the sender is focusing on a simple object, the receiver might feel as though he's making things up at first, but insist that all impressions and thoughts are written down for later comparison.

*See it - Use some simple images to focus on and send to your receiver. Things like a yellow sun, grapes, or a triangle. It will be easy for you to concentrate on these simple things and project them to your receiver.

*Transmitting Your Message - Close your eyes and focus on establishing a communication thought-tube between you and the receiver. Picture it clearly in your mind's-eye as connecting the two of you.

Then place the object you want the receiver to see inside your mental communication tube and send it directly to him. Create your image as clearly as you can. If you choose to focus on a red, shiny apple, then make sure you follow your apple all the way to the end of the thought-tube.

The act of visualization is a powerful tool in allowing your mind to focus on getting your message across.

*End message - Stop sending when you have seen the object reach the receiver. Stop thinking about it, this is an important step as it lets the receiver see the image appear. He or she will also have time to write it all down

*Receiver - As with the sender, the receiver needs to relax and be as receptive as possible. He or she should also keep their mind open and record anything they perceive. He or she also needs to have good focus and a desire to see messages.

We all see have things flowing through or mind when we relax and are receptive to it. A receiver should write anything down that he or she sees, even if it is believed to be a random thought.

*Check the results - When the session is complete, see how well both of you done in sending and receiving images. Anyone will get some of them right as well have the ability to do this. It will take some training to do really well at it as a rule. A perfect score would be very unusual on the first try.

Remember, practice makes perfect!

ADHD Test - Overview

Detecting ADHD is commonly done with an ADHD test. It has nothing to do with any blood test since ADHD is a mental disorder, not diagnosable through basic medical tests.

The Association of American Psychiatric

The Association of American Psychiatric or APA has made a list of fourteen behavioral checkpoints to test for ADHD. According to the APA checklist, a kid must show at least eight of the checkpoints to be diagnosed with ADHD.

Observation Test for Problems with ADHD Behavioral

There are a lot of kids who are misdiagnosed as having ADHD. One of the main logic that ADHD is often misdiagnosed is that identifying is purely observational as well as therefore subjective.

A doctor giving test may be less able to accept certain behavior than any other doctor would be and may say it as a trouble when other doctor would consider it normal. Because of this, ADHD testing is often done as a collaborative effort where teacher, parents and doctors all give their thoughts about a child's behavior.

It is also common for parents to believe their child has ADHD simply because they are with them often and common ADHD behaviors can be difficult to deal with. A child can only be considered to have a problem when they are displaying a symptom frequently on a regular basis.

Below are the examples of checklist items that would be found on a special ADHD test:

* Is not working to potential at school

* Substance abuse, learning troubles or family history of ADD or ADHD

* Easily unfocused

* Cannot concentrate to detail

* Plain writing

* Anxious behavior or nervous

* Cannot communicate well

Symptoms of ADD At A Glance

Is ADD Genuine?

There is a disagreement about ADD is that it is not a real situations. By some means, a closer look at the signs will let you recognize that ADD is truly abnormal behavior.

There is no reason to refuse a child therapy that can very much improve their life just because of a principle that ADD is not factual. Medical studies has proved that ADD to be a real situations that needs serious treatment.

ADD Behaviors

The signs of ADD are often referred to as behaviors since ADD is a behavioral illness. True ADD only covers a single group of behaviors. ADHD, a related illness, covers two more groups.

Misdiagnosis is not uncommon since many doctors are quick to say kids ADHD when they are, in fact, only ADD. This can bring about to overmedicating the disorder as well as given inappropriate overall treatment.

Symptoms of ADD

The common symptoms to watch for are:

* Cannot pay attention

* Lack of concentration

* Problem putting ideas into words

* Quick anger

* Irritation

When to rummage around of Symptoms

Most children with ADD will start to show some signs of trouble when they get into school. Since the school environment involves a lot of focusing and behaving.

Kids with ADD may have problems learning new stuffs as well as may seem as if they are not giving attention or acting up very often. Teachers are often the first to know the symptoms of ADD.

As a matter of fact, ADD can attack adults, too. The symptoms are the same as well as the therapy is commonly the same. With improper therapy of ADD, an adult or a child could undergo in work or school.

Medication needs to be monitored and adjusted over time. However, once treatment is administered and working it can help a person to completely overcome the ADD symptoms and learn to live with the disease.

True For Me, But Not For You?

"All religions, cultures, and lifestyles are equally valid."

If you've ever had a discussion on a moral issue or religion, chances are you've heard that phrase, or any one of its close cousins. The popular sentiment these days is that in the areas of morality, religion, and sometimes politics, everything is relative; there is no one point of view--or truth--that's true for everyone. There is no universal Truth (with a capital "T"). Rather, each culture or individual has its own "truth" (small "t"), and all religions, cultures, and morals are equally valid.

The popular sentiment continues: one shouldn't say other religions or morals are in error, just as it would be odd for me to say your choice of broccoli over beans is wrong. Sure, "my truth" can help me live a better life, but I shouldn't push it on others. I should be tolerant of others' beliefs.

Like I've already said, this is a very common way to think. Maybe you yourself believe this!

What should we think about this?

First, even if someone says he believes this, his whole life contradicts it. He might wax eloquent about how morality is relative, but the next moment he'll complain about someone cutting in line in front of him. If you listen carefully, you'll find even the most ardent relativist make strident moral judgments every day as if they apply to more people than just him.

Let's say you are at work, and you witness two co-workers arguing. The first, a white male, calls a black female co-worker some pretty hefty racial slurs, as well as some very explicit words for various female genitalia. The anger in his voice shows his intent. The female looks very hurt. Has he done anything wrong? Not wrong "for you," but just wrong. Does it change things if he is from another culture or country?

The answer, of course, is yes on the first question, and no on the second. Racism and misogyny are wrong, no matter who you are or where you are from. Period.

Moreover, the notion expressed is contradictory. It commits logical suicide. It's like saying, "I'm a vegetarian, pass the meat." Really, the person is saying that it's wrong to critique others' views, but merely by uttering that, she critiques others. Out of one side of her mouth, she says that there are no truths that applies to others, but out of the other side of her mouth she gives a truth that is supposed to apply to others: that it's wrong to critique others and that one should be tolerant.

This isn't something she thinks just applies to her; she thinks you should follow that rule as well. Here's how you can tease this out in a conversation (that I again borrow from Koukl):

"People have different beliefs, so you should be tolerant of them!"

"Do you believe that?"

"Yup."

"Then that's true for you, but why are you pushing it on me?"

You see? She says I shouldn't judge, but that very sentence is a judgment itself. Why else would the word "should" pop up?

Another example:

"There is no objective truth."

"Is that 'Truth' with a 'big' T, or 'little t'?"

She is in quite a pickle. If she answers no, then you can ignore her--it's just her "belief." But if she answers yes, then she her view commits suicide. She can't escape it; some things are really true, others really false. You know what? It's allright to point that out and say some are right and others are wrong, period. You can't get around it.
