Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Learn About Tarot Card Spreads

By Hugudy Kimmot

There are an infinite amount of tarot card spreads. These are designed to be read by a talented individual who can interpret the findings of the cards and explain what their appearance means. While learning how to perform a reading isn't difficult, it does require more than a little knowledge about the subject. The first thing any new potential reader learns is that the deck itself is divided into two sections.

The deck is made up of two different parts. Of those parts, minor arcana are represented by four symbols, Wands, Swords, Cups and Pentacles. Major arcana represent a number of things, some of which are listed below.

There are many major arcana, but some examples are given below. The Fool is an important paper which can be connected to carefree innocence, but also shortsightedness and lack of true knowledge of one's own limits. The Magician is a powerful symbol who governs the Tarot itself and has very high levels of determination.

The High Priestess is one that represents forgotten memories, and offers spiritual enlightenment. The Magician is a powerful one that represents the tarot itself, and can mean creativity, as well as the need to be determined in what we want. The Fool can mean a kind of childhood, spirited innocence but also a kind of short sightedness.

The Hanged Man is not a negative one, although it can represent being tied up or limited, but one that can simply mean a different way of looking at things. Similarly, the Death one, can mean an end to a part of life, and an acceptance of that end.

The Devil is a card of sensual, tactile pleasure, but sometimes also an overindulgence in that pleasure. It's important to remember that many different tarot card spreads can be read as a combination, divining not only our current role in the cycle of life, but also our future potential and dangers.

The Big Apply Ten Years After 9/11, Stars Tell All

By Lou Raedwulfe

With the anniversary date of 9/11 fast approaching, there is an uneasiness running through the hearts and minds of most Americans. This day forever changed most everyone's perspective on how we view and feel about who we are as a nation. Our basic identity has shifted.

I have analyzed both the birth day chart for New York City, and compared it using Ground Zero for the geographic location and calculated forward progression to assess the 9/11 date that looms ahead. Psychic readings practitioners and astrologers alike are concerned with and interested in forecasting what this ten year anniversary could bring.

The star/planet lineup for 2011 have an interesting story. A progressed chart for NYC on 9/11/11 shows an interesting astrological aspect. Conjunctions are present: Sun/Mercury and Sun/Midheaven and Midheaven/Mercury are present along with the minor aspect of a quintile for a total of four in this chart. This is interesting indeed and is significant.

The Sun-Midheaven conjunction denotes the beginning or the end of a cycle, one has but to look at the financial and political aspects in the country to see that this could well commence on that day. This is when the proverbial chickens come home to roost from the patterns which are now coming to a close, whether the eggs laid are golden or toxic, remain to be seen.

Mercury will cause us to be aware of what is really occurring and with that understanding, how to proceed further. While Mercury can fortify how we deal under stressful conditions, it also helps us get through these tough times. In other words, when 'the going gets tough, the tough get going". All of us need not cave into our feelings about 9/11, but, instead, use the energy that Mercury will provide to get through what could be life-changing times straight ahead.

When a combined, or Davison chart is calculated however, the picture becomes clearer. For this combined chart, I used the date of New York City's founding, August 29th, 1664 and the 9-11-11 anniversary date. Much like the Davison chart which I cast using the U.S. date of birth and the tenth anniversary, mighty Jupiter takes center stage.

When viewing the chart, there are concerns because there are three planets and the Sun all in opposition to Jupiter. This is not a good sign because promises may not be kept and an exaggeration of self importance can be skewed and undermine personal relationships and large governmental type institutions. Together, this points to an already in trouble financial burden which could be severely under stress and under its own attack.

Using the chart just mentioned, we find Jupiter occupying the 10th house which rules karma, resolutions, government and politics. This anniversary in particular over seen by a political agenda may have a negative emotional outcome. Karma will rule the day and people may be left feeling bitter about how this date was 'handled' by our politicians.

It has not been my purpose or desire to be an online herald of doom. However, these relationships and forecasts are ultimately part of the path that we all tread. Through knowledge of their probability of occurring, we can strengthen ourselves for even the most extreme results. And, to paraphrase Mr. Joel once more, resilience and survival are truly the essence of "A New York State of Mind".
