Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Simple Tips To Cheer Up A Friend In Blues

By Jill Sanders

There will always come a time when we feel down and sad. No matter what the reason is we always feel depressed and we need someone to talk to. The burden of friendship comes into play when one of your friends is experiencing the blues. Below are tips on how you can turn that sad face up.

Be there for your friend always. Listen to whatever he says and do not speak a word unless he is done talking everything what he feels. Never hesitate to be there for your friend as he will do the same for you when the time comes.

Once you are done listening, you can either offer an advice or you can remain silent and let her feel everything and let it all out by crying. As a friend you might feel obliged to give her an advice but if you have no idea how to, just remain silent and be there for her.

Give him a token of appreciation or a simple gift. Treat him for a bottle of beer or some dinner. Take him out. Do whatever it takes to make him smile again.

Stay strong for your friend. Not only will your friend be rooting for your strength to help him pull off from his depression, he will also look at you as his anchor. The moment you breakdown, he too will break down.

A hug makes a difference in the world. A person who is less affectionate rarely gives a person or rarely receives a hug whereas a person who is filled with love oftentimes if not all the time sends out a huge warm hug to everyone. Make sure your friend receives one from you.

Spend time with your friend doing what you do best. If you are fond of going out in the mall or driving around town, do it so often that your friend will be in a better mood.

People might take the easy way out when this happens. They instantly leave you out to deal with your own problems but it is in these trying times that you will be able to separate fake friends from true ones.
