Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

The Truth About Mind Power

By Philip Michel

We only use about 10% of our brains as we live all our lives guided by external factors never knowing the immense possibilities that lie within ourselves. The mind is something that is too complicated for science to know all its secrets yet. But mind power, if utilized fully can achieve everything that one needs in creating his/her destiny himself.

Mind power is something that has been talked about, believed in, and cultivated upon since the ancient ages. It is known to all that ancients monks or spiritual sadhus living in the highest mountains honed the power of their minds by way of meditation. Starting from lighting up fires, causing rainfalls, moving matter with concentration, curing illnesses, they have always prophesized the power of mind over reality.

Moving forward from the ancient cultures and practices of which we have no real proofs, one can discuss contemporary concepts like the Law of Attraction, Affirmations, Hypnotism and the like in our New Age thoughts. The New age spirituality refers to the spiritual movement that seeks the ultimate or universal truth, the highest potential of man. It is more of an individualistic spiritual progression in nature instead of based on any religious doctrines.

The Law of Attraction promotes human mind power as the sole source behind an individual's destiny. It says that if a person directs all his attention and energy on a goal and then has complete faith on its occurrence in the near future, then the power of your thoughts and energy will attract your goal and manifest it in your real life.

Mind power can also be experienced with continuous affirmations to your mind. For example, if you are sick and you continuously say to yourself that 'I am getting better', then your subconscious mind will pick up this affirmation and acts towards it and you will see that you will become healthy. But the trick to effectively affirm your mind lies in the practice of truly believing your affirmations yourself. That is, you need to truly believe that you are getting well, only then will your subconscious mind power act on the affirmations to manifest it.

In increasing your mind power, meditation is one of the best techniques. Starting with basic meditation to increase one's concentration power, work up towards the state where you can concentrate or focus more on a goal, visualize it in your mind's eye and direct all your energy towards it. Once you start practicing this, gradually you will feel the increased awareness of your own self and ultimately gain control of your subconscious mind unleashing the power within.

If you want your mind power to take the driver seat and become the pilot of your life's journey then the best thing to do would be to start with basic meditation and affirmations. Do away with all negative thoughts so that you only attract positivity and good things in your life. Once you advance to the stage where you can unleash you mind power to its full potential, you will see that you can manifest abundance or for that matter anything you desire by directing all your energy on it. The power of visualization and faith would facilitate the laws of attraction to work for you in creating your own future.
