All the time you hear about how your anger affects you. But anger affects the people around you as well.
Your anger hurts the people around you this is how
They have to stay away from you
There are people who care a lot about you. That is at least most of you.
The problem is there are people who love you and really would like your company. These are the ones who see you as a special person. But they stay away so that they can protect themselves from you. They know that you are capable of hurting them, or you might just be anti social. So for their emotional health and personal safety, they stay away from you.
When you are mad, the people who care about you can sometimes feel as if they are dead inside.
When you are angry, you make other people angry
The smart people would stay away from you for one big reason. Your anger without a doubt would make them angry too.
Anger is an emotion just like happiness, sadness, disappointment etc, and because it is only an emotion, it is very easily transferred from person to person. That is just the nature of emotions, they are contagious.
This means that if I know you are angry, and I go around you for just five minutes, I run the risk of having my entire day messed up. How smart a person am I to go where you are, knowing what is likely to happen?
An angry person can mess up a child for life
You may have also seen that children learn angry behaviors in a very short space of time.
As your child watches you and discovers how to act angry the way you do, his life becomes that much more complicated. The reason it is complicated is because he unlearns how to act his behavior will only become worse.
What you will get is a small person who when an adult, will probably get every problem that people with uncontrolled anger experience. There will be a difference though it is that his difficulties are likely to happen while he is younger. This means that his anger will affect him more during his adult life than it did for the person who he learned his behaviors from.
