The clock is never stagnant like many other things. It is always moving at the same rate trying to remind us that time is not something we have forever. When that time is up, existence comes to an end.

In this way, the clock takes on a creepy form of being the fate reminder. Making sure that we do not think the world will come to a stand still for us. We are supposed to cherish the time that we have on this globe.

Instead of the clock making us just drop everything down and enjoy the time we have, it forces us to do the opposite.

Every single time we look at a clock we cannot help it but wonder if we are going to make it to that appointment. We keep thinking about the job at hand that we have to handle. It is all about toil and hard work with the clock in your face.

The clock however does not let just anyone slack. It is a slave master that makes sure you are too busy to stop and smell the roses.

Like many slave masters, the clock has its own way of motivating us. If you have to be somewhere it will help you make it in time. If you have a task it will let you know how much time you have to finish it. It will always make sure that you do not forget that there is always more to be done.

It propels us into the future and yet makes sure that we keep our heads in the present knowing that time is not infinite for us; a beautifully balanced dichotomy.

In the end, when you think about it closely, a clock has the same dual nature that you would find in this world when you observe most of humanity.
