Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Yielding To The Holy Spirit

By Lee Lightfoot

When something hard in life happens, maybe a unproductive thought, a sense of stress, anger whom do you call on to help? Do you call on God, do you are dependent on Him and his promise that the Holy Spirit lives in you? Maybe you attempt to handle it yourself, or maybe you ignore it or you do your best to get thru the situation.

You want to not yield to the Holy Spirit or you will stay in the same place if you attempt to use your own strength, your own mind, your own power. Instead , you can select to rely on Him, the One who possesses all you need. It is your choice, God's strength or your weakness. Deciding to depend on your own strength will lead directly to more stress, more annoyance, more despondency, or even more fear.

Relying on the power of The Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit who live in you will lead directly to joy, confidence and laughter. The Lord is your energy source and guidance. It is Jesus living in you. Why would you not trust Him?

Calling on the Lord God Almighty and yielding to Him for His infilling isn't tough or complicated. You received the Lord God Almighty at the time you asked Jesus into your life. He's always with you and His direction and power is usually available. The trouble comes when we take back control of our lives and start living it in our own power. When that happens, we're not filled with the Spirit to the degree that we insist firmly on control.

Is there anything preventing you from yielding total control of each area of your life to the Holy Spirit right now? If it is sin, you can confess that and He will forgive you. If it's fear or doubt or any other barrier, you can be awfully truthful with Almighty God and let Him know that and ask the Holy Spirit to help overcome anything that keeps you from yielding everything to Him, including your doubt or unbelief. He is going to be faithful to do that.

The Holy Spirit Resides in Every Christian

By Lee Lightfoot

The Holy Spirit resides in every Christian and he is our guide and our power to live this life. God the Father, God the Child and The Holy Spirit called The Trinity living in us and providing everything we need.

The Holy Spirit is waiting on each of us to yield to Him, not just some of the things in our lives, but everything in our life. He is waiting to steer us and to give everybody a power to live by, that you may have never know. He wants to change your life, I know He transformed my life and it does not matter if you're a brand new Christian or what is referred to as a "mature Christian".

You may know little of Him or you will have been to seminary. To Him it simply makes no difference, He's nervous about the yielding of your heart. The Holy Spirit is the one with the knowledge and He knows everything so no matter how smart you may or may not be about the things of Almighty God, the Holy Spirit is the person that will lead you and supply you the power to live in the heavenly kingdoms.

The Holy Spirit in a wonderful gift from God because He's not left us to try and figure out this life on our own. God gives us the Holy Spirit to lead and validate us, if we'll listen and obey. Has there ever been a time in your life when you knew you might not have accomplished or overcome something in your life had it not been for the power of the Spirit?

When the Holy Spirit talks to you do you listen and obey or do you give Him an excuse? Did your excuse satisfy the Spirit's urging? I imagine His urging was still present. I encourage you to listen to Him.
