Have You Asked God To Judge You?

"Lord, I have examined myself. Now, I am asking you Lord to examine me as well. From the depths of my heart, the depths of my thoughts, and my every action, examine me, judge me Lord, for I know you are a righteous judge."

This can be a scary prayer if you truly have a fear of the Lord. Yet, it can also be liberating to know that the very creator of all, who IS LOVE - is going to examine, reproof, judge me.

Are you willing to pray the prayer above? Are you willing to be judged and examined?

Many people are "stuck" - looking for direction and guidance... are you? Have we lived so far in the wonderful grace that has been provided that we sometimes forget that God still has purposes, plans, and areas that he wants to correct within us?

I could only imagine my son coming to me and saying, "Dad, examine me. Tell me how I am doing, show me what I can do better, and share with me exactly what I should stop doing." Could you imagine your children coming to you with such a request?

I am sure that in my "imperfect love" I would truly examine, direct, and guide my son. Can you imagine how wonderful and beneficial that requests and experience would be to my son? Our relationship?

Now, how wonderful and beneficial will it be when GOD lovingly judges you?

This is not to be a prayer from a place of guilt or shame - always remember that you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus! Your sins are no longer a part of you! Just remember that we can all grow in our walk, and in favor with God.
