Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

The Relationship Between Motivation And Thought Patterns

By Winston Waltz

It is normal for people to start listing things that they did wrong, when they find themselves in some sort of problem. They start thinking about the work out sessions that they missed on due to their laziness; about the extra calories that they ate up just because they could not help it; about the job opportunities they missed on, etc. nonetheless, they find it hard to find the motivation to do the right thing.

In any case, positive motivation works the best. Negative motivation will not get much done.

If you want to stop smoking, for example, you would need to do it yourself.

You are totally aware of the fact that smoking drains on your economic resources. It is not widely appreciated. By smoking, you are also putting the lives of your loved ones at risk. However, this kind of motivation does not work in most cases.

Positive motivation is what you need. Think of all the good things that will happen, once you quit. You can save money and plan a nice vacation for yourself. This sounds a lot better and motivating than telling yourself how bad is smoking.

This is the system of reward. Rewarding yourself for doing something appropriate strengthens the behavior. This is the theory that is being utilized in schools for the longest time. Children are motivated by being awarded with a star every time they do their homework right. This works better than threatening them with expulsion. Punishment can make children rebellious.

Therefore, whatever yourself improvement goals are, always try to motivate yourself in the positive manner. The outcomes will be in your favor,

This way there is likelihood of you getting what you really desire and in less time than you ever imagined.

Can The Kjv Bible Measure Up To The Believers Authority Test

By Rod Nelson

In religious circles it may be the in thing to have the newest improved bible.

Have you been swept up into this idea of finding a better translation? When the details of God's will and your eternal salvation don't matter the new will be fine but consider the 5,000 differences when compared to the King James if details do matter.

Coming from a corrupt text is the reason why there are so many conflicts. New translations are a more modern language then the KJV but the original manuscripts differ from what the KJV Bible came from. So the real issue is not about translation it is about the original TEXT used.

Here is a quick check to see if you have a corrupt bible, turn to Colossians 1:14. Does this verse contain "through his blood" if not your text is corrupt.

Translators could not translate what was never there.

To appreciate our King James Bible it is noteworthy to understand the process that it came from. Our bible was preserved through the doctrine of inspiration and preservation.

The Bible Believers View. The inspired & preserved Word of God can be held. An all powerful God preserved his Word throughout history through multiple copies that are the same as the originals. The King James Version Bible is from this preserved lineage for the English language. This view answers these questions.

1 - how will I identify the inspired words.

2 - how His inspired words are preserved.

3 - where the inspired words are.

You can not claim the bible as your lives authority without recognizing the claim that the Word of God makes of itself. The bible can not be of any authority to you if it is not your final authority.

Bible believers should accept as their final authority what is God's final authority.

An introduction to clinical ethics

By Finley R. Newton

Clinical ethics, or medical ethics, is a branch of moral principles that applies directly to the practice of medicine. Ethical values and judgements are not just applied to patients, but other medical staff, and can be practical as well as theoretical and philosophical. Moral values such as compassion, honesty, respect, trust and commitment all play an important part when practicing good, ethical medicine.

Many books written on health care express that there are four main principles to respect; autonomy (the rights of self-determination), non-maleficence (to first do no harm), beneficence (promote the well-being of others) and fairness. However, some of those practicing medicine have found that these principles do not always transfer across to the reality of clinical settings.

Instead, health care book Clinical Ethics: A Practical Approach to Ethical Decisions in Clinical Medicine has identified a slightly different set of four principles - medical indications, patient preferences, quality of life and contextual features - which is explained by: "Although the facts of each case differ, these four topics are always relevant."

Whichever set of morals a medical professional chooses to use, whether it is one of these two or a different set altogether, they always have to deal with the same types of ethical concerns and issues on a day-to-day basis. These clinical ethics may include confidentiality, euthanasia, conflicts of interest, informed consent, communication or cultural concerns, each of which requires the medical professional to answer them with the ultimate goal of what is best for the patient.

Of course clinical ethics is also about the medical professionals as well, not just the patient. Again, staff may have to find moral solutions and answers to such questions as when to report a colleague's error. But whatever ethical issues medical staff have to face, they must find solutions which fit in with the social, legal, economic and administrative context in which the case occurs.

Religious Affiliation And A Huge Budget - Neither Is Important For Making Successful Funeral Arrangements

By Winston Dunbar

People look for information on funeral arrangements under three basic situations:|People usually require information on funeral arrangements under three basic situations:

Somebody has already passed away: Under such circumstances one has to take instant decisions; Quite understandably, the arrangements may lack the fineness that one expects under such conditions.

Somebody is terminally ill and is about to die: It may sound little insensitive; but arranging funerals is a complicated affair and so anybody sensible should start looking for suitable plans while there is still time.

Those who prefer to make pre need arrangements: Many people prefer this. Along with estate planning people also buy preneed funeral plans so that the survivors will not have much to bother about.

Now, if it indeed is the first case, where the person has already died, your first duty should be to contact a funeral home and complete all legal formalities. At the same time, if you have a reliable home at your side, you will not have much to worry about; they generally take care of all these matters. In fact, the staffs there are trained in every aspect of death care; all you will be required to do is to convey your preference and choose the correct plan; they will execute it perfectly.

Choosing a reliable funeral home is very importance and if possible have one earmarked long before the death has actually taken place. Somebody in your circle should be able to refer you one. Otherwise, you can search the internet for that. However, in the later case, you need to go through the testimonials before signing any contact with them. Then you will have to talk to the funeral home director and get the price list.

Know that the homes generally offer different types of services and merchandises; this allows you to choose one that suits not only your budget, but also your taste. However, there is a basic charge that you cannot refuse and it includes: * Services of the funeral home director and the staffs * Availability of equipments that may be necessary * Securing necessary authorizations such as filing the death certificate and getting permits * Arranging conferences pertaining to the funeral * The cost of direct burial ( including the graveside charges) or cremation

The last one may confuse you a little. When a dead body is disposed directly without going through stages such as embalmment, viewing and memorial services, we call it direct burial or direct cremation. However, most people prefer to go through all the prescribed rites. In such a case, one has to pay extra for the services rendered. At the same time, it is always advisable to go through the entire ceremony because the rituals have evolved over the time keeping the need for closure in mind.

When a loved one dies; the survivors often find it very difficult to accept the loss. However, if they go through the entire ceremony, they may find it easier to deal with the fact that, no amount of grieving will bring the departed back and one just have to learn to live without them. Indeed, such a ceremony always starts one or two evenings before the actual funeral with viewing or visitation and ends with the final disposition. By the time the whole process ends, the mourners generally find themselves slightly more comfortable and in control of their grief.

To succeed, such a ceremony requires quite a lot of planning as well as leg-work and this is where the funeral homes can help you a lot. As mentioned already, they practically take care of every aspect of the ceremony. They file the death certificate, transfer the body from the place of death to funeral parlor, embalm the body and prepare it for visitation. Then again, if you hand out the list, they may call the relatives and friends or put paper notifications announcing the death. they will also help you with the church service if you want. They will then make the necessary preparations for final disposal, and move the body to the cemetery or crematorium as is your choice.

The important thing to be noted is the churches today have accepted cremation as a valid method of disposal of the corpse. Therefore you need not trouble yourself too much if you find burial bit too expensive for you. It does not require any religious affiliation or a huge budget to plan a meaningful memorial service. Successful funeral arrangements demand nothing but awareness of the emotional needs of the mourners. The funeral homes are there to take care of the rest.

A Good Planner And Efficient Executer Is Needed In Handling Funeral

By Winston Dunbar

It is a harsh reality that death is the only certain event in this uncertain world. Anything that takes birth must die and human beings are no exception. Yet, accepting the fact that a loved one is no more is possibly the hardest thing in the world. When death happens in the family, the survivors feel numb, unable to comprehend anything. They know that there are lots of things to do; but cannot really figure out where to start. Friends and relatives may offer help; but most of the time they too are not aware about the formalities involved.

In fact, it is not feasible that they should be. Unless one is in the death care industry, one generally does not know much about them. Indeed, handling funerals is not a very easy job; there are numerous legal, religious, secular angles to look into and so it should be left to the people who know the business. Today, we have funeral homes located everywhere; if you approach them, they will take care of every aspect of it. However, you must also make sure that the home you have chosen is a reliable one.

Not every funeral home understands that funerals are more than just a ceremony. If you can handle it properly it can have the following advantages: * A properly organized funeral gives us a chance to honor the dead and pray for the departed soul. * It also helps to pay tribute to a life that was well lived. * It can also help the mourners to accept the loss at the emotional level, which they often fail to do. * This in turn helps them to achieve closure and start life afresh.

As already said, handling funerals in the appropriate way is not at all an easy job; it needs experience of a life time as well as an awareness of the emotions of the family in mourning. The funeral home staffs, especially the director should have a sensitive mind and they should be able to gauge the need of the family without being specifically told. Fortunately, most reputed funeral homes do that well. If you enquire among your acquaintances, you will surely get someone who is really good at the job.

As your loved one departs for his celestial home, your job will be to contact the funeral home. It may sound little harsh, but many people do that even before the death actually taken place. As I have already said, arranging funerals is not an easy job; to handle it properly you must give yourself as well as the funeral home staffs enough time. There are lots to consider.

First on the list is always to have a session with the funeral home director. In general, funeral homes have different plans priced differently; it will be up to you to choose the one that will suit not only your budget but also your emotional need. Of course, the wishes of the departed are also equally important and so you should also consider that while choosing the plan. If for example he had wanted to be cremated, you should always respect that. Another important job to do is to complete all legal formalities; but if you have chosen your home well, you will not have to bother much about that. The staff at the home will take care of that, albeit for a fee.

A good funeral home not only takes care of completing all legal formalities, but also take up the job of transferring the body from the place of the death to the funeral home. Once there, they will next embalm the body and prepare it for visitation. You can bypass this stage if you want; but since such a function is organized to enable the well-wishers to pay their last respect, it is generally advised to have it.

More importantly; visitation also gives you the chance to celebrate the life that the departed had lived with such a jest. You not only can put on display photographs of happier time, but also can put on videos of special moments or have his favorite passages read out. If you opt for church service, funeral comes next. To make the service more interesting, you should prepare the eulogy very carefully. However, you can also opt for a memorial service after the final disposition; but churches do not generally approve of services in the absence of the body since it is a secular affair. Therefore, handling funerals is a complicated job; to have one executed flawlessly, take the help of those who know the business well.

Take Recourse To Grief Counseling If You Find it Hard Dealing With Losing Someone You Love

By Winston Dunbar

Loosing some one you love is not easy. The death may be well expected or it can be sudden; but it always leaves you empty and numb. It is natural for the survivors to remain immersed in grief for a considerable period and during that time you often find them absent minded or even crying. Some may withdraw socially or feel reluctant to go back to work. In extreme cases, such a loss may even cause some physical changes and the mourners may experience trembling, nausea, muscle weakness, dry mouth, troubled breathing, sleeping or eating.

In short, dealing with losing someone you love is always painful; some may not demonstrate the grief outwardly; but there is hardly anyone who will not feel the pain of such a loss. Most of us have some inbuilt mechanism that helps us to overcome the severest of all grieves and start life afresh. However, there is no time limit for that; you cannot really specify how long a person will take to overcome it.

Under normal circumstances, one does not take more than three or four months to put tragedies such as loss of a loved one behind and start behaving normally. You may say that there are plenty of people who do that from the day one; but know them to be proud people who do not like to show their grief in public. One is bound to be affected by such loss unless one is very demonic by nature. Those who do keep a smiling face may be bleeding at heart.

Greif experts say that it is always best if you can cry out loud. This will at least show that you have been able to accept the death. Recovery becomes easier if you can do that both emotionally and intellectually. Sometimes it happens that despite accepting death intellectually, people refuse to do that at the emotional level. This happens more when the death is sudden.

There can indeed be nothing worse than sudden loss of a loved one. The survivor may behave normally, but deep inside he will always be afraid. If for example one spouse has died in a road accident, the surviving spouse will always be afraid of losing the kids in the similar way and may create a ruckus if they are little late in coming home. Worst of all, such people are always misunderstood by their close ones. Few actually can understand the trauma he or she has experienced while the kid was having a gala time with his friends.

At the same time, the impact of such a loss need not always be negative. It can also prompt you to do all those jobs you have been ignoring to do till today. However, you must understand that even those positive actions are the result of an inherent fear; the fear of losing a dear one. One should try to get rid of it as fast as possible; otherwise, it will harm the griever in some other way.

Losing a loved one may be sad, but you must deal with it in the proper way. You must understand that: * Time is the best healer and so one must be given enough time. * Talk to your near ones if that makes you feel better. If you want to be left alone, tell them so. After all, most of them are your well wishers and so they do understand. * Cry out loud, if you feel like crying. It often helps one to overcome grief. Don't feel guilty if you cannot cry; it surely does not indicate that you feel less. * One should make conscious effort to come out of the grief. Once the funeral is over do endeavor to go back to work, meet friends and attend social occasions. * If you cannot make yourself to socialize or lead a normal life, try contacting support groups. * If nothing works do take professional help.

More and more are taking recourse to professional help today. Grieving is a very complicated phenomenon and different people react to death and the consequence loss of a loved one differently. They also take different time to overcome it. That is why, in spite of their best intentions, friends often fail to help. Today the support of the extended family is almost negligible. A qualified counselor will be able to do wonders and bring you back to your feet at the shortest possible time. Today, funeral homes offer grief counseling and so you can consult the director of the home for that.

Wedding Dresses

By Owen Jones

The wedding dress is just about the most important item in the wedding ceremony apart from the vows and the rings. The bride wants to look her best and the groom wants to look his best too. A gorgeous wedding dress will help the bride's aspiration to look dazzling come true.

Therefore, it is imperative to select the wedding dress with care, as every bride knows. However, there are a few items that are not as clear as the wedding dress just looking stunning and we will list the most significant of these below.

Besides personal taste in fashion, the most important consideration has to be the time of the year. Which season are you going to marry in? What temperature is it likely to be? Could it rain? If it is likely to be cold, you ought to wear a heavier cloth than if it is likely to be hot. You might also permit the season to have an impact on the colours you wear, but that is a matter of personal taste. For example, winter colours might be slightly darker than summer colours.

Another vital aspect when choosing the colour of the wedding dress is the skin colouration of the bride. This matter is also true of the accessories. The bride will also need a head-dress, a veil, gloves and a bouquet, all of which should compliment the wedding dress and the bride's hair and skin colouration.

Try to get a wedding dress that fits perfectly. This sounds obvious, but it is easy to think that you can make minor changes yourself later on. However, making alterations is not as easy as it sounds and you could end up making matters worse rather than better. In any case, you do not want to be worrying that a stitch you made will break or come undone at the wrong moment. It is far better to get a good fitting wedding dress than to get the precise colour that you want.

It is important to bear in mind the quality of the picture of the wedding dress, if you are buying or hiring from a catalogue or website. You also should leave plenty of time to be able to return the dress if you have to. The fact is that photographs are not always true to life and packers do make mistakes, so if your choice is not what you expected, when it arrives, you will need to have a couple of weeks to return it and receive a new one. Allow at least three weeks for the exchange; longer if you can.

White has always been the most popular colour for first time brides, but it is not a rule. Off-white or pastel shades look very nice too and they will set you apart from the norm. Apple white or blush pink are very effective colours for a wedding dress, but as I said before, everything should be colour co-ordinated with the colour of the bride's skin and hair and the bouquet, if you are dead set on carrying a certain bouquet of flowers, like, say, gardenias.

Stained Glass: A History

By Owen Jones

No one actually knows when stained glass was first invented because it happened before people started recording history. However, some historians think that it was first used as a luxury in the homes of affluent Romans in the first century AD. Stained glass was eventually recognized as an art form in the fourth century as Christians began to worship openly and to construct intricate churches in which to celebrate their religion.

On the other hand, other historians demonstrate that there are remnants in pre-Christian ruins that imply that pagans employed stained glass in their rites. Although we will most likely never really learn the origins of stained glass, it is fairly clear that the spread of Christianity is directly related to the increased of use of stained glass.

The Gothic Era commenced in the 12th Century and stained glass windows became an essential element in the design of cathedrals. It really all started with the pioneering designs of the St. Denis, France, where stained glass windows were used to convey light into the church itself and into the minds of its worshipers. Sadly, most of the stained glass in the St. Denis Cathedral was smashed in the course of the French Revolution, but there are a few pieces left and even some complete windows on display in Europe.

Gothic style stained glass was made up of strong lines, but these gradually went out of fashion as the Renaissance commenced. During the Renaissance, artisans showed better detail and more delicate colouring in order to add to the realism. Stained glass windows became more like paintings on glass than architectural features and some of the prominent elements such as lead lines disappeared. Because of the difficulties in showing the great detail required by the Renaissance era, the old style, which was true stained glass almost died out.

Since stained glass was used by and large by the Catholic Church, much of the work was smashed during the reign of King Henry VIII after his split with the Pope. However, not only old stained glass windows were damaged, but many of the glass making works were sabotaged too. However, religious strife was not the only cause of the decline of stained glass.

The fashion of the Baroque period was for more detailed murals, which meant the use of clear glass. Therefore, many of the remaining stained glass windows were allowed to decay, and furthermore not many new stained glass windows were produced. In the late 17th century, the public mood returned to the Gothic style of architecture, which created a renewed fascination in stained glass windows.

Artisans still tried to paint directly onto the glass at first, but later tried to emulate the old leaden frames of medieval days. However, given that the earlier methods had not been used for such a long time, they had become forgotten and the artisans of the time were unable to recreate the exact styles used in Gothic stained glass.

During the 19th century, La Farge and Tiffany created new kinds of stained glass. La Farge was interested in window designs, while Tiffany investigated new fields like the Tiffany lamp shade.

Nowadays, stained glass artists are not restricted by religious styles, although much of the work they do involves restoration. Modern stained glass is also used as the centre pane in front doors, especially uPVC doors, by rich and poor alike in the West.

What Does Jesus Say About The Sabbath

By Koko Ishe

This is an extremely undecided topic inside the Christian society. The misunderstanding comes from a critical misinterpretation of a New Testament scripture. Nevertheless, the heart of the Sabbath topic really comes down to a "marriage." The Bible explains what the Sabbath day is, what it is for, what to do on the Sabbath, and it even explains what the larger spiritual meaning of Sabbath day is. In this brief article we are not going to go into all of those; but will answer the question at hand. What does Jesus say about the Sabbath?

As God was set to create the world, God Almighty outlined His plans first. It was not until Genesis chapter two when the work actually began. The final day of God's plans is the seventh day, a day of rest that was hallowed, blessed, and set apart. It was special more so than the other days. Because God Almighty rested from all His work on the seventh day, it was made Holy. With literally hundreds of references in the scriptures that support the seventh day as the Sabbath day in both new and old testaments of the Bible; it makes one wonder why this is a topic of discussion. One of the foundational scriptures on this subject is in Exodus 20. This is the only time the God of Israel visited the earth in Power and full Strength.

The God of Israel made this visit to the Israelites to personally delivery His Ten Commandments, the agreement with humanity. The Sabbath is officially put to and in order here. The Sabbath is in the top four commandments of the covenant. We are supposed to learn by rote the Sabbath day and keep it Holy. We are reminded the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week, no work is to be done (except work that pertains to God Almighty - Today because this is not a global rule, you may have to work your job to stay from being fired or released.)

Bible scholars like to say Exodus chapter 20 is in the Old Testaments and not required for the new covenant God Almighty made with mankind (primarily in the New Testament after the death of Jesus Christ). While Jesus was alive the seventh day Sabbath was still being kept and honored by non-other than Jesus. It was Jesus custom to keep the Sabbath day as told in Luke 4 verse 16. When Jesus was executed (for the sins of mankind), the women followed to see where His body would be buried. Once they saw where, they left to keep the Sabbath day as commanded by Moses, before returning to perform the ointments and spices for Jesus' body. It was not only JESUS custom to keep the Sabbath; Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles also had this routine as well. Well after the death and resurgence of Jesus Christ Paul can be found keeping the Sabbath day.

Everywhere Paul traveled into; he reasoned and taught people on the Sabbath day (Acts 13 v14, Acts 18 v4). Much of the healing and teaching of the ministry of Jesus Christ took place on the Sabbath, which is the seventh day of the week (Luke 4 v31). This is because Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath day (Mark 2 v28). In the book of Isaiah, chapter 56, it says blessed is the man who holds fast to the Lord's Sabbath and stops him or herself from profaning it.

The Sabbath is very important to the Lord. He clearly states that it is a covenant forever and a sign between the God of Israel and His people (physical and spiritual) forever (Exodus 31 v13-17). Now the question for this article was what does the Bible say about the Sabbath? The references above are more than enough and we will refrain from going into where did we go from the Sabbath day to Sunday (first day of the week)? This change came from the early church out of Rome and not the apostles of Jerusalem. This distinction must be made clear for the reader to understand. The BIBLE only speaks of the seventh day Sabbath and speaks of it as a covenant forever.

What Is A Celtic Wedding?

By Owen Jones

Celtic wedding are an perfect way of showing your being a Celt. It is also a way of incorporating traditional values, symbols, themes and customs into major events in your life. However, Celtic wedding are hugely popular not only among people with a Celtic tradition, but among other couples who are taken by the ancient Celtic culture.

Celtic wedding have traditional symbolic decorations, often based on the Celtic knot. Welsh, Irish and Scottish families will occasionally marry in ancient buildings like castles or old manors, but that is not the norm. A traditional Celtic wedding is not significantly different from a normal British wedding in many ways.

However, the number of similarities between Celtic wedding ceremony traditions and normal British-style weddings goes a lot further than that. If you want a traditional British style wedding, you will be going unwittingly for a Celtic wedding. But you can beef up the Celtic element of the wedding ritual even further without sinking into silly theatrics.

This is a traditional Celtic poem about when to marry:

Marry when the year is new, Always loving, kind and true.

When February birds do mate, You may wed, nor dread your fate.

If you wed when March winds blow, Joy and sorrow both you'll know.

Marry in April when you can, Joy for maiden and for man.

Marry in the month of May, You will surely rue the day.

Marry when June roses blow, Over land and sea you'll go.

They who in July do wed, Must labour always for their bread.

Whoever wed in August be, Many a change are sure to see.

Marry in September's shine, Your living will be rich and fine.

If in October you do marry, Love will come but riches tarry.

If you wed in bleak November, Only joy will come, remember.

When December's showers fall fast, Marry and true love will last.

Here are a few other traditions:

Loving Cup: The traditional cup is a two-handled bowl with Celtic designs engraved onto it. The idea of the Loving Cup ceremony is for the bride and groom to share their first drink together as husband and wife and to demonstrate the coming together of their two families.

The Bell of Truce: A bell is blessed and then presented to the bride and groom. The couple is required to ring the bell, while thinking tender thoughts of each other. The bell is then kept at home as a token of the wedding day. If an argument begins, the bell can be rung by either the husband or wife to call a truce. The tinkling sound is intended to remind the couple of their wedding vows and to help them relive happy memories from their wedding day.

Handfasting: Early Celts used to ?tie the knot?. It dates back to a pre-Christian custom of literally tying a couple's wrists together in a form of probationary marriage lasting a year and a day, at the end of which a new agreement was made or the couple parted ways.

Bride's Bouquet: In Celtic wedding traditions brides carried herbs beneath their veils to symbolize fidelity, and spices to ward off evil spirits.

Ring finger: Ancient Celts thought that there was a vein in the third finger of the left hand that ran directly to the heart, so ring placed on that finger denoted a strong love and vow to the other.

Wedding cake: A thin loaf was broken over the bride's head at the end of the service to symbolize fertility. The wheat from which it was made symbolized fertility and the guests enthusiastically picked up the pieces for good luck charms.

It was also common for the Celtic groom to toss a handful of coins into the crowd after the wedding, in the belief that this would bring them luck in the years ahead.

How To Die And Take Death

By Freddie P. Pritchard

Accepting death as inevitability part of our life and is easier than you could think. Death is one of those very sensitive topics, ideas which most of us tend not to bother to have a discussion or even think about. After all, no matter what your own beliefs about death and what does or does not come afterwards, the idea of leaving this world is tangled up with lots of intense feelings, perhaps most of all the fear.

The challenge here bounds and also lies in truly acknowledging death as well as in becoming comfortable in talking about dying in the long run as well as in the right time. Drawing near to the sensitive issues surrounding death because of difficulties is not that desirable. We need to accept death in an appropriate and in the exact time, only God knows when and where simply because He knows why we are created and being given the gift of life.

Any time Things Go Wrong You Want To Know How to Die

A lot of of people are brimming with so much regret that would provoke depression not to mention sense of guilt unto our own selves, even people who're happy and who have achieved a lot of things in our lives. It's simply just part of the process of living and learning and also growing that we are going to comprehend the past in a different light and fully grasp that we have lost chances in which we're going to never reclaim. However, when things seemed so unjust and distrustful, don't dare to look for an answer on how to die.

How to Die Answers The Objective Of Life

The more we comprehend the particular purpose of life, that is to have objects to survive and serve; we could appreciate how greatly the Creator thinks about this important life. The true essence of life would give all of us peace of mind as well as purpose of life not to go on questioning our own selves and to find out at the end on how to die.

To be able to have peace of mind, we have to think significantly and incessantly of the purpose of our own lives and the creation. The more we think, the more we will uncover amazing things and therefore are thankful to Him for creating us simply because we're granted the opportunity to see the worth of life and to live by it fully.

Same goes for internet based business opportunities where a computer & internet connection is one's only tools needed.(most popular choice)

Other sorts of home based business opportunities can be of the transcriber variety. College professors sometimes look for transcribers to transcribe class sessions from year to year. The same applies for clinics, and lawyers. Although alot do not profit a desirable amount, this may be an idea for little extra cash.

Another thought when it comes to working at home is completing internet based surveys. With several of these consumer based survey businesses online today, it's not tough to discover one to join with. Keep in mind these survey companies commission very little per completed survey, often times barely $1 or $2 per finished survey, in which surveys will take up to an 1 1/2 hours to complete.

Other home based opportunities might consist of a sales position. There are a lot of different Christian businesses that offer merchandise via catalogs on the internet. You work on a commission paying structure. This might be an attractive job for moms who dream to stay at home and work their own hours based on the family and school activities.

Create a stack of duties that you enjoy to do as hobbies, and most often than likely there'll be some sort of home business related to it in some manner. Although most of these businesses will not pay well, they would be a fun way of earning a little extra money, or to just kill some time while at home with not a lot to do.

Another idea is to use a technique such as copywriting or photography to work from home. You may write articles for a Christian newspaper or magazine. Maybe you want to do photography for numerous print galleries or your immediate area newspaper. Your selections are basically endless.

Making a Vegetarian Pizza From Scratch

By Owen Jones

Most people like a pizza and pizzas are very suitable for all sorts of diets. Vegetarianism is no exception. In this piece I am going to show you how to create a vegetarian pizza from scratch and the pizza I have chosen is a rather curious one.

Americans may not instantly recognize it as a pizza but there are other, particularly German, examples of something comparable with this Moroccan pizza from Marrakesh.

Marrakesh Pizza (Khboz Bishemar)

1 packet of dry active bread yeast 1/4 cup lukewarm water

FILLING ======================== 1/4 lb vegetable suet - (approx 1 cup tightly packed) 3 tbls parsley, chopped 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped 1/4 tsp cumin, heaped, ground 1 red chile pepper, dried 1 tsp paprika, heaped tsp

DOUGH ========================== 2 cups strong, unbleached flour 1 tsp salt

GARNISH ======================== 4 tsp sweet butter, margarine (melted) or oil

Sprinkle the yeast on to 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Stir to dissolve and leave to stand in a warm place for 10 minutes or until the yeast has become activated and doubled in volume.

Meanwhile, create the filling. Chop or grind the suet; pound the parsley, onion and spices in a mortar or chop finely to a paste. Mix with the suet then set aside.

Mix the flour with the salt and create a well in the center. Pour in the bubbling yeast and enough lukewarm water to form a ball of dough. (Add more water if the dough seems difficult to mould). Knead well until smooth and elastic or for around 20 minutes. Split the ball of dough into 4 equal parts.

Lightly flour a board. Begin patting the first ball of dough down to a disc shape, stretching and flattening it to create a rectangle approximately 8 x 14 inches. Spread one-quarter of the filling in the center. Fold the right and then the left side of the dough on to the filling.

Press down on this 'package' and start flattening and stretching it (with the filling inside) until it is the same size (8 x 14 inches) as before. Repeat the folding, this time right side over the center and left side under. Repeat with the other 3 balls of dough. Set aside, covered, in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Heat a griddle. Prick the 'packages' with a fork six or seven times on both sides. Place on the griddle - they will begin to fry in the fat released from their fillings. Fry the 'packages' 10 minutes on both sides, until crisp. Dot every pizza with a teaspoonful of sweetened melted butter or oil before serving.

You can eat these Moroccan pizzas from Marrakesh with anything, but there is already a fat content, so it would be better to have them with a salad or even fruit. To accompany this dish, drink what the Moroccans would drink - mint tea. Moroccans drink pints of sweet mint tea every day brewed from mint that simply appears to grow wild everywhere.

Being A Vegetarian - Pros And Cons

By Owen Jones

If you are thinking about becoming a vegetarian, then you have to be asking yourself about the pros and cons of doing so. There are different methods of looking at this. On the macro or global scale, you as an individual, by giving up eating meat, will personally save the lives and distress of all the animals that you would have eaten, if you had not given up.

On the other hand, a few hundred animals during quite a number of years will not make much difference to the animal population. What is more, with the Chinese and Indian populations becoming richer, it is almost certain that they will be eating more and more meat in the near future. You will be doing your piece though.

However, on the micro, or personal level, becoming a vegetarian will change your life. Those who have faith in detox diets say that lots of the toxins that they say mount up in our bodies come from the hormones, pesticides and antibiotics that are in meat but ought not to be.

Meat, eggs and dairy products are a Westerners foremost sources of cholesterol and fat and cholesterol and fat are blamed for being the main contributor to the West's principal killer - heart disease.

It is a fact that there are other reasons for heart disease, yet it has been worked out that vegetarians have about a quarter of their meat-eating compatriots' chances of having a heart attack. This seems significant, but the difference between vegans and meat-eaters is even more stark at one tenth the chance.

So, it seems to count what kind of vegetarian you become, because lots of vegetarians still eat fish, eggs and cheese and drink milk. However, by giving up meat alone, you will miss out on lots of the chemicals that farmers pump into their meat and poultry.

For example, preservatives are thought to become linked to some cancers; growth hormones given to animals affect our own hormones and many crowd merely cannot digest milk, which causes the production of mucous and can give rise to digestive worries

On the negative side, you will need to learn a whole new system of supplying your body with the nutrients and vitamins that it requires. Meat is a concentrated kind of food and just eating a regular western meat and two vegetables sort of meal without the meat will soon become boring and land you in very hot water.

Malnutrition is the risk that novice vegetarians have to become suspicious of. Obviously, it is not so difficult to be hold of information to help you become your vegetarian diet right as it used to get yet there is a vast choice of foodstuffs available to the modern vegetarian, but they are not all cheap, so cutting out meat will not likely save you any money.

At the end of the day, becoming a vegetarian is a highly personal affair. It is between you and your conscience, and doing the correct thing will make your life more of a problem, as does attempting any lifestyle change, but you will find it simpler as you get into the swing of things.

The Best Books on Depression For People Like You

By Minnisha DeGrate

Sometimes managing depression can be a difficult task, and it's easy for someone battling depression to let their fears get the best of them. This is an illness that can cause someone to feel very alone, and beating it is not nearly as simple as some people may think. For years there have been a lot of speculation about the correlation depression has to intelligence. There are several books on depression and extensive research studies performed on this topic. In this article I will discuss more in-depth information I have found related to this study.

Based on the information I have gathered it is more a correlation between depression and creativity than it is between intelligence and depression. Creative people have a heightened emotional connection to the people and things that surround them, some of the greatest works were created in the midst of deep emotional turmoil. Research has proven that creative people are at a higher risk for depression because of their elevated emotional abilities, there are books on depression that explain this more elaborately.

Some researchers believe that depression and emotional maturity are linked. As individuals who have the ability to confront emotional issues with knowledge and maturity are less likely to become depressed. For a long time depression was known as melancholia, and it is the most well known psychiatric disorder that goes back to the beginning of psychiatry.

Exercise also has physical benefits as well such as a healthy heart, bones, and blood flow. For individuals who don't have the desire to utilize physical activity as a coping mechanism, may find it beneficial to use something such as dance to incorporate this into their treatment. Psychotherapy can be a great help for treating depression, studies show that 50% of people diagnosed with mild to moderate depression achieve symptom relief through psychotherapy. Self-help books on depression are essential to learning how to battle depression effectively. As there are many different diagnoses types for this condition, manic being the most severe form.

In my personal experience as a creative writer and someone who uses writing is an emotional outlet, when I don't write for long periods of time my mental health is affected. Exercise has always been a major part of my life, and when I veered away from it I could feel the affect it had on my stress level and mood. Exercise has been proven to be one of the most fast acting anti-depressant treatments because of the immediate response our bodies has to it.

It is very important that you keep moving and going about life no matter what circumstances arise because the cost of being overwhelmed by your grief, may be much more than you are willing to pay. The advice isn't to ignore the trials and tribulations that occur throughout your life, but just to continue doing the things you enjoy doing the most. This will be uplifting for you and it will inspire you to keep on keeping on no matter what.

Immanuel Kant's Theory of Evil

By Holly L Wilson

Pablo Muchnik in his book, Kant's Theory of Evil, argues that Kant explicates the radical tendency to evil in the notions of the weakness of the human heart, the impurity of the human heart, and finally in the wickedness of the human heart. The weakness of the human heart is signified in the idea of the weakness of the will. St. Paul confessed that what he willed to do, he did not do, and what he willed not to do he did (Romans 7). The acting person knows the action is morally required, but fails to pursue it and instead acts out of inclination. In this case, Muchnik argues, the agent knows the validity of the moral law, but does not give the authority to determine her actions. Kant says the acting person with a weak heart, then makes herself think that her motivation is basically good, even when her actions speak to the contrary (p. 157). Muchnik holds that the acting person with a weak heart is lead to gluttony, lust, and wild lawlessness [in relation to other human beings] even in the situation where moral luck makes her temperate and humble.

Muchnik shows us that Kant explicates the radical tendency to evil in the notions of the frailty of the human heart, the impurity of the human heart, and finally in the wickedness of the human heart. The frailty of the human heart is referred to in the concept of the "weakness of the will." St. Paul complained that what he willed to do, he did not do, and what he will not to do that is what he did (Romans 7). The agent knows the action is morally required, but fails to carry it out and instead acts out of inclination. In this case, Muchnik argues, the agent acknowledges the validity of the moral law, but doesn't grant it authority. He says, "The agent with a weak heart, then makes herself believe that her motivational structure is essentially good, even when her actions suggest otherwise" (p. 157). He holds that the agent with a frail heart is tempted by "gluttony, lust, and wild lawlessness [in relation to other human beings]" even in the case where moral luck makes her moderate and sympathetic.

The weak heart knows better but does not do what it knows, but the impure heart does not take the moral law as a necessary motivation for moral action but allows impulses of the inclinations to determine her actions. Her actions adhere to duty, but are not done purely from duty. The moral agent's actual motivation is self-love even if it looks like she is doing the morally right thing. Muchnik tells us that this agent changes morality in to a system of hypothetical imperatives.

The wicked heart is depraved and turns over moral judgment at its root. The wicked heart seeks non-moral reasons as a matter of principle. He callously makes use of all other persons as a means to his own goals, justifying his behavior in terms of a perverse conception of the goodness (p. 161). Kant considers this the highest expression of the tendency to evil. This person in principle refuses to respect other persons and even himself.

Muchnik also takes a position on the sticky query of whether Kant's position can sufficiently account for the immorality of murder and genocide. Against Claudia Card and Bernstein, Muchnik defends Kant's argument that even these horrible acts are motivated by self-love. Bernstein desires to use the idea of the diabolical will, but Muchnik argues that such a will would be unable to be legislative and would destroy itself.

Self-help for Depression and Anxiety Learn How to Beat It

By Minnisha DeGrate

The failure to cope with traumatic or difficult events in your life can definitely lead to depression. Because choosing not to deal with things doesn't change the fact that they exist. It is important to understand this when trying to learn how to battle depression.

In my opinion a good management tool is pure logic, for example assuming that just because one situation in your life goes badly everything that follows will have the same results. Trial and error is a part of life therefore assuming that failure the first time will result in failure inevitably, is irrational and illogical. These kind of negative thoughts often lead to depression and unwarranted anxiety, the effect this has on some people may seem unbelievable but it is real. There are books on depression that can help individuals and their loved ones beat depression.

Qualified today are the interlinking between childhood abuse and depression later in life. Cause and effect are not distinct but a collaboration between the "world" and the "life experience". So be it that depression does manifest itself later in life about childhood episodes of abuse. It has been established that nature and nurture should not be taken as enemies or total opposites, but as two intertwined realities that function together to make up the human experience. Nature was designed for nurture.

Physical activity is a great self help to for battling depression and it is extremely important, without being physically active your energy levels remain low. This doesn't mean you have to run a mile every day, but something as simple as a walk a few times a week can make a huge difference. Some people believe that depression is a normal part of the aging process, and studies show elderly people struggle with the illness most. However I don't find anything about depression normal, it is an unnecessary and excruciating pain. Finding and using self help for depression and anxiety will only make life better for you.

Practice Mind-drainage: Empty your mind of pessimistic and negative thoughts, especially before going to and after waking up from sleep. This involves some degree of imagination friends. (the same imagination-mind you-that you are actually using to aggravate your present situations...didn't realize that eh?). This mind-draining strategy cannot be overemphasized as I will let you know, if you fear something for a long period of time, it may actually come to pass. "For the thing which I feared has come upon me..." (Job 3:25). Fill up the mind with powerful thoughts of faith and success to fill up the vacuum now left in the mind. You become a worrier by practicing it, you can be worry-free by practicing the opposite.

Depression is an illness and needs to be acknowledged as such. It is not a reason to be ashamed. The reason so many people fail to seek help for their depression is that they are ashamed. Unfortunately, this is one of the feelings associated with depression anyway and makes the illness difficult to acknowledge. If you are constantly feeling particularly low, well-meaning friends might tell you to "snap out of it" or even start to get irritated by your mood. Your depression will feed off this negativity and you start to wonder why you can't just "snap out of it".

The Essence Of The Christian Faith

By Jayde Johannsen

Christianity is not a religion. It is a lifestyle Many Christians today fail to realize this. They evidently mistook the fact that belonging to this sect will eventually save them from the fires of Hell. More often they forget to strengthen the Christian faith leading them to sin.

A Christ-like lifestyle is hard to achieve. Temptations are great and it is everywhere. Many Christians are challenged into sustaining the teaching of Jesus and applying it in their lives. They are practically torn between becoming a soldier of faith and keeping up with the modern times. It obviously contradicts each other thus making it difficult to live both lives.

Prayers can do wonders for the challenged Christians. If we are moved to temptation, close your eyes and talk to God. Doing occasional fasting can help strengthen our faith. One must be objective in completing the process. One must be steadfast in maintaining a happy disposition even if your stomach is begging for food.

Learn to apply what you preach. Many Christians fail to do this. They evangelize the words but fail to put in action. They make use of the verses but do not completely understand them. This sad fact is affecting the perception of others leading their critics to sin unconsciously.

Keeping a happy disposition while under siege is indeed hard. However reading through the book of Job we come to realize that sometimes we have to undergo a time of ruin to build a better relationship with Him. If we have not gone through it will we ever seek him?

We are all children of God. We tend to take this for granted and push our limits. We ask but we never give back. We unintentionally break the bond as we sin yet we pride ourselves of being a soldier for Christ. Assess your faith. Try to accept your shortcomings and work out the difference. As Christians it is our responsibility to look after our brothers and ourselves. We should not allow Earthly temptation to get the best of us but instead we should be mindful of our words and our actions.

If the Lord sacrificed His only son for us, what is our right to not give everything up for the faith? A religion is just a group if it fails to show its faith. Do not claim anything until you can show it action. It is like looking in a mirror and forgetting how you look afterwards. Live the faith and earn its rewards.
