Churches need funding for their charity programs, maintaining their property and also to carry out some community work like giving the poor some assistance. Part of the money obtained is given to the church. Some members may offer to make quilts and donate them to the church for selling to the local community so the church can keep the money raised.

There is another useful way to raise funds whereby the members could sponsor bricks which the church wants to use for construction projects such as making a patio or sidewalk. In which case, the people would sponsor a number of bricks and they get their names printed on the bricks which they have donated.

Initiatives such as car donations are normally of mutual benefit, since the individual who donates a car is entitled to a tax deduction while at the same time not going out of his way to get a buyer for it. This makes it extremely easy for someone who has a busy schedule.

The organization that collects such cars to sell will keep part of the money and give the rest to the church. It is very easy and effective way of raising funds.
