Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

10 Things You Can Do With Clocks

By David Artstone

Clocks are versatile devices that can fulfill a variety of niches. Since they are moving pieces, they have a certain presence which other items can't match. This makes them especially powerful when decorating, giving, or using these pieces in day to day life.

1. Wedding presents. Clocks are great because they are slightly personal without being too over the top.

2. Create a wall of clocks, where you display different designs in a variety of patterns.

3. You can also get romantic with clocks, getting timepieces which display how long you've been together.

4. A grandfather clock can instantly become the centerpiece of a room, acting as the slow, steady, rhythmic backdrop to any atmosphere.

5. If a space is feeling empty, a clock is a great way to fill it up. The audible ticking sound can make a room feel occupied even when you're the only one there, giving it a sense of presence.

6. Creating a pattern out of clock designs is a difficult thing to do, but having a symbol of completely coordinated, moving pieces, marching through time and space in unison is a rather awesome sight.

7. The right clock can completely change a space. Since they are such prominent pieces in the home, they tend to have more decorative presence than other accessories. As such choosing a unique timepiece can lead to the entire room feeling different.

8. Using the same time piece room to room can draw together a home that might otherwise feel disjointed due to space or decorative limitations. This is an easy way to create continuity from room to room.

9. A really crazy or unique timepiece can completely change the nature of an otherwise dull living room or bedroom arrangement. There is a lot of shock value from clocks.

10. Telling time is an important part of modern society. Clocks allow us to regulate our lives, and sometimes even to play with the natural flow of reality. Many people set alarm clocks a few minutes ahead, so that they can get a jump start on the day.

In all clocks are powerful tools that can send a truly unique message when used in different ways. It's important to be aware of this fact when dealing with them on a day to day basis.
