Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Fire Emergencies - How To Be Alert

By Alex Wiggins

Other disasters can be prevented such as fire, with careful precautions, fire can be averted but none is more dangerous than flash floods all because you are not able to predict when it will happen and where it will happen. A lot of people have fallen victim to flash flood that rose up high above the roof. Here are some of the rules to follow for you to be prepared when floods happen.

Find out how often your place gets flooded when the rainwater reaches critical levels. If your places get flooded often, then you might have to contemplate moving from your neighborhood and seek a higher ground that you can handle. This might not be a bad idea to take care of sooner rather than later.

Gather the family and designate an evacuation area for your family as well as your property. Make sure that everyone knows their role during the evacuation. You can also practice having some dry runs in case of an emergency and do some drills at random times.

Be sure to have saved food and water so that you will have a supply when disaster strikes. Always keep a number of food that will keep you nourished for several days as floods tend to run for several days unlike fire or other natural disasters.

If you really think that it is time for you to evacuate even if you are unsure that flood will happen, feel free to get yourself to safety long before it actually happens. There is nothing wrong with putting yourself to safety first than anything else right before your path to safety is blocked by floodwater.

During floods, be aware of water-covered roads. Do not cross streams or rivers where water is just above the knee and risk putting yourself in danger. Water levels might elevate in a matter of minutes while you are struggling to cross such bodies of water.

Eat well-cooked food and protect leftovers from being exposed or it might go stale in a couple of hours. Make sure that you are drinking safe bottled water and to make sure, boil them.

Report broken utility lines so that they will be fixed once the flood lowers and is under control. Never try to fix them yourself for your convenience as you might create another set of danger for you and your family. That is something that you do not even want to deal with, and you could very well end up being worse off than before if you make a mistake.

Things That Help A Person Build Up A Sense Of Optimism In Life

By Nicholas Gregg

Death. No one wants it and no one wants to talk about it even amongst the closest of friends. This is why people want to live life but none are really experiencing life the way it should be. For some, living life means getting the right job while others is all about spending time with their loved ones. We all have different ways to live our lives but there are only a few that have the privilege.

Life for what is now. Some people are too focused on tomorrow and what it might come that they forget what is happening to them right now. Good examples for this are people who work very hard and neglect themselves today. Life is for the present and not for the past nor for tomorrow.

When you love, expect to feel the same way with pain. There is always a risk when it comes to everything including loving someone. When you love, you will get hurt. It is seldom or even impossible for someone to love to never get hurt. So, enjoy both feelings.

Get to feel the pain, the love, the excitement, all of the emotions that human beings are meant to feel even the most unpleasant feelings. They send you a message about how you truly feel and disregarding them means you disregard yourself. Be in touch with your feelings and never rationalize with your emotions because emotions are different from reasons.

Some people talk about not fearing death but truly, they are simply afraid of living. Learn to let loose and free yourself from the insecurities that bind you from enjoying life. Challenge yourself to be more than what you are right now.

Do not be afraid to share the truth. There is something about telling the truth that satisfies the human soul. So, leave nothing unsaid than lies. Always tell what is the truth behind everything that is happening and you will live life without any regrets.

We all have something that we really love to do even years after doing it everyday. Life is too short to stay unhappy and regretting the things that we are supposed to do. When you find yourself pouting in bed, do something that will make you happy.

Never let regret be the last thing you breathe. Always have the heart to take up everything from the good to the bad. Get out and experience life and live the life you want it to so that by the time, the curtains close, you will be able to smile and reminisce on the happy times instead of regretting them.
