Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Fact Or Fiction: Is December 21, 2012 Our Last Day?

By Jean Hantch

Throughout time, several people have proposed specific dates in which the world as we know it would end. Most of these days have come and gone, but one day in particular still rings out. You see as many have heard of Y2K and other times of assured Armageddon, perhaps the most discussed and consistent date has yet to arrive. December 21, 2012 is the date that so many people in the past have predicted to be the end. So the question must be asked, 2012 Doomsday Fact or Fiction?

The most popular starting point for the predictions of 2012 rests with the ancient Mayan culture. Their elaborate grasp of mathematics and the movement of the parts of the solar system suggest their knowledge was well beyond its time. They designed a calendar that has been on point with various changes and happenings in space.

This same calendar mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012 with no explanation. Some say it is the calendar simply starting over at 1, while others feel as though they ended it to symbolize the end of the world.

In roughly 2900 B. C., the I Ching or Book of Change was also credited with an eerie calculation to December of 2012. This came in the form of a graph created using patterns from the I Ching; Terrance McKenna created the graph itself. This graph's peaks have so far corresponded to various changes in the world; it too mysteriously stops in 2012.

Yet another source convincing people of impending doom in 2012 is the Web Bot. This software is designed to calculate through discussions and general behavioral trends potential changes in the world. The software was actually developed to assist in predicting the fluctuation of the stock market. Its notoriety began when it predicted to a fair degree of accuracy the events of 9/11. Now, it predicts a worldwide calamity in 2012.

Lastly, the planets are slated to line up with one up with one another in a line. This in theory could create a black hole in the middle of the Milky Way with unpredictable results. Some suggest that this alignment, which coincides with the last day of the Mayan calendar, is a major factor in the end of days.

You can spend hours online looking at everyone's proof that the world is going to end in 2012. To be fair, there have been hundreds of days that people have sworn was to be the end of the world, and yet here we are. For every argument, someone has a sensible counter point. The Mayan calendar, many believe it to be starting over, and not ending. The Web Bot, while it might have predicted things like 9/11, has been wrong many times.

So there is no concrete evidence to suggest one way or the other. It all really boils down to what you want to believe. I don't know what to think, but you have to admit, it gets you at least considering the possibility. No one can tell you whether 2012 is the end but you.

Historic Use of Mushrooms in Religious Practices

By Dr. Markho Rafael

Since at least 5,000 B.C., people have used "spiritual mushrooms" in their religious rituals. The San Peoples of Tassili in southeast Algeria left behind cave paintings illustrating dancing, masked medicine men with mushrooms in their hands. It's believed the mushrooms were of the consciousness-altering variety.

Tassili is located in an area that today is an uninhabitable mountainous desert. But in ancient times, the climate was wet, allowing not only humans to live there but also cattle, and even crocodiles. The San Peoples were culturally tied to other tribes across the desert, from Chad to Egypt, maybe even Greece.

Because ancient Greeks, too, may have used mushrooms in their spiritual practices. The "Eleusinian Mysteries," continuous for an astounding two millennia, was the most important spiritual initiation ceremony in ancient Europe. Scholars believe it involved use of consciousness-altering mushrooms. With participants such as Plato and Aristotle, spiritual mushrooms may be an important part of the legacy of western civilization.

Jumping another millennia or so forward in time, the Vikings were known to consume the poisonous species Fly agaric (Amanita muscaria) in limited amounts to overcome fear. In spiritual pre-war ceremonies, they are said to have eaten mushrooms and danced in the woods before going into battle.

Of course many of us may not think highly of the Viking warrior spirituality but it was an undeniable part of their religious practices whether or not we approve. At the same time, across the Baltic Sea, Siberian shamans also used Fly agaric to achieve spiritual communion with their gods.

R. Gordon Wasson even claimed in a controversial book titled Soma: Divine Mushroom of Immortality that Fly agaric was the very substance referred to in ancient Vedic literature as the mysterious soma, a plant or mushroom extract used in ancient Hindu rituals and believed to bestow immortality of the soul and other divine qualities to the consumer.

(Important note: Fly agaric - Amanita muscaria - is poisonous and may also be easily confused with other even more deadly species. Consumption for any reason is vehemently discouraged.)

Meanwhile in the New World, spiritual ceremonies using mind-expanding mushrooms were likewise performed. The earliest written record stems from between the 13th and 15th centuries, a text known as the Mixtec Codex. The Mixtec Gods were often engraved wielding mushrooms.

Although Mixtecs themselves told white anthropologists they used spiritual mushrooms in their religious rituals, western scientists still doubted them in characteristic condescending manner.

An American botanist named William Safford was convinced that peyote buttons were confused for mushrooms, while other scholars maintained that the Mixtec tribe truly did use consciousness-altering mushrooms in their spiritual practices.

Raging on until the early 1930's, this debate finally got settled when amateur anthropologist Robert Weitlaner got invited to view a Mixtec religious ritual including the mind-expanding mushrooms.

Then in 1953, mycologist R. Gordon Wasson and his wife Valentina Povlovna as the first westerners became honored participants in a mushroom ceremony - Velada - performed by shaman Don Aurelio. Wasson published his account of the Velada in Life Magazine, 1957. His article initiated the broader public awareness of spiritual mushrooms.

25 species of the Psilocybe genus are known to contain the consciousness-altering chemical compounds psilocybin (stable) and psilocin (unstable). The species used by the Mixtec culture are believed to have been Psilocybin caerulescens and Psilocybin mexicana. The more common and sometimes cultivated species Psilocybin cubensis did not exist in America before the arrival of Europeans.

Spiritual mushrooms have been illegal in most of the world since the 1970's because of their potential misuse as recreational drugs. Only in The Netherlands were fresh Psilocybe allowed to be sold until less than a year ago.

That all changed after a French 17-year-old girl jumped off a bridge when eating Psilocybe mushrooms. The Dutch parliament responded with a ban on the sale of so called "magic mushrooms," which took effect December 1, 2008. From Tassili to Amsterdam, the use of spiritual mushrooms is now officially history.

A Psychic Forcefield - Does it Really Exist

By Amos Amos

Much of the lore surrounding psychic phenomena can get quite far fetched if you are reading the wrong things and looking in questionable places for answers. Let's take a look at the notion of a psychic force field, and see whether it has any basis in fact, or whether it exists strictly in the shallow waters of popular fiction.

Much of the early lab work done on psychics, back in the 1950's and 1960's dealt with the idea of a psychic being able to generate a "ring" of energy around themselves, purely through the power of their mental focus of conviction. The Soviet Union, both before and even during the cold war, was studying the possibility that a group of psychics might be able to construct a field of protection so wide and dense, that it would have military grade purposes!

Now - for those who believe in both science, and psychic phenomena, I've got both good, and bad news..:-) The Good news is, any objective evaluation of the tests done on psychic phenomena in a laboratory setting on a large scale basis have shown an incredible body of evidence to support that we do ABSOLUTELY posses amazing, life changing psychic skills as a human race. From remote viewing experiments done by the C.I.A, to the random number generator tests done at Princeton University, to the incredible body of work produced by the Rhine Institute and far, far beyond - there is a wealth of facts that support the notion that human beings have incredible, untapped psychic skills that can be DEVELOPED and practiced much like playing the piano, or a good jump shot on the basketball court can.

There is not, however, any evidence that we are able to generate a force field of psychic protection around us either as individuals or sovereign countries! It might be nice if there was, though, right? So the next time someone tells you they can create a star trek like shield around themselves using nothing but psychic energy, you may want to walk in the other direction!

Now - the one thing caveat I will make to the above is this: Most scientists and parapsychologists who study PSI ( the scientific name for the study of psychic phenomena) will tell you it APPEARS to be an evolving skill. This means that it can be improved upon, maybe both as individuals, as well as a species. Lots of good theories abound that the next great evolution in human beings might be in these very realms.

So, who knows - maybe 50, 100, 200 years from now we will all have the ability to generate a psychic force field around us when we are having a bad day, in a rotten mood, or just feel like being left alone..:-) Until then though, for now, it's as much science fiction as Mr. Spock and the rest of the crew!

Is "2012 Doomsday Or A New Beginning" For The Human Race

By Axel Foster

The world is in a state of chaos right now. People have lost their jobs, friends, and even their lives. This continues to go on as depressions and wars begin to become a daily part of society. People are wondering where the human race is heading. We could be heading towards our demise or to our sanity. We fight and kill but we want it all to stop. We won't though, for it is human nature. Are we heading towards doomsday at a rampant speed? Many have begun to hold onto the belief that the world is going to end on the year 2012. Is "2012 doomsday or a new beginning" for the world? Are we going to all die or will we drop our old beliefs and embrace one another and live out our lives as a race for an eternity?

Is the dawn of man coming to it's dusk? What is going to happen to us when the new year comes around? Are we doomed to non-existence? Where do the beliefs of what is going to happen differ?

The 2012 debate is not a young one at all. People have been speculating what is going to happen since the bronze age. The Maya were the ones to originally come up with a belief of what is going to happen. Not too long after did Nostradamus come up with a similar theory. These people got their assumptions from a variety of things including the stars and from using forms of divination. Do these really hold any water, you ask? Not particular would be your answer.

The number on belief is that we are all going to be doomed for our actions against nature or to a God. We are all doomed to die and there is no changing our fate. It could be a death from us just vanishing into thin air or a launch of every nation's nuclear arsenal. Whatever the reason, the belief is that we are going to be no more.

The other belief is that it will be a death of human thought. What I mean is that human beings will begin life a new with a change in the way we think. It will be as if something happens to make us all think in some peculiar way. It would be an enlightenment of sorts for all beings on Earth.

Another belief that holds a lot of water is that nothing will happen. Maybe all of these people have been blowing smoke to scare everyone. It is a great way to get movies and books produced. If people are worried they will want to know more. So, this could just be a ploy for people's greed.

Yes, 2012 has caused a lot of hype. Movies have been produced and hundreds of books have been made. All of them revolve around 2012. It is amazing to try and sift through the large array of texts and try and find anything with any factual information. Simply because there hardly is any. Here is very little evidence that anything will happen on 2012 that will end the human race. There is an actual scientific fact proof a few things possibly happening though. One of these things include a large solar flare that could knock out all of the Earth's satellites that will occur on that year. The Maya believed that a meteor would strike the Earth and they spent their whole life as a civilization looking at the stars. Nothing is ever certain though.

That is most of what it is all about. So is 2012 doomsday or a new beginning? We don't know for certain. We will when the year comes around though.

Create A Wonderful Life Of Abundance

By Ben J Scott

A healthy, happy life is one which experiences abundance. This doesn't refer only to material prosperity but also to strong and supportive relationships, good health, doing work you love and living a life in harmony with your own beliefs and values.

This sort of true abundance is never accidental. While it may certainly seem that there are those lucky individuals who appear to live a charmed life, true abundance is not accidental. Whether a person harnessing the laws of the universe to experience abundance is doing so unconsciously or otherwise, it doesn't really matter. The good news is that anyone can change their lives so they can attract abundance.

If you also want to experience the abundance that other people are experiencing now, all you have to do is to get the abundance vibe by considering what you have in life now. Whether you have all or small, being thankful is always the best attitude towards having an abundant life because a spirit that always shows gratitude may tend to attract more blessings and good experiences. This is the start of an abundant life.

One way to build a gratitude consciousness is to keep a gratitude journal. Before going to sleep at night, make a list of things that happened during the day that you can be grateful for. It can be helpful to have a minimum number of things you have to list before you can go to bed. For example, if you have decided to list five things you are thankful for every night before you go to sleep you will focus your attention on looking for them. Oftentimes, these things will seem minor to others but they are things that you appreciate.

Another thing to consider when attracting an abundant life is your emotional being. Everyone is made up of mixed emotions inside. But if you have decided to attract abundance into your life, you have to remove negative emotions from within you. These negative emotions can bring negative things into your life and block the opportunities that might be helpful in making your life abundant.

What you feel and what you think are the things that affect you and your personal being. If you think negative and you feel bad, you will tend to experience bad incidences as well. In order to attract abundance into your life, think right and feel right. Guard your emotions so as you will disregard negative feelings and guard your mind from thinking bad things against others so that it will not lead you to do wrong. Change yourself for the better even if you find it hard to do. In the end you will get the benefits and experience abundance.

The approaches to changes are many and each method can be beneficial to everyone who uses them. Some people would even use a combination of two or more approaches just to enhance or improve their personality that needs changes. By making your beliefs and values, plus your emotional and mental state always in the positive side, changes are worth it and attracting abundance is easier.

These are some of the tools that people can use to bring changes into their lives. The self-hypnosis, hypnosis, affirmations, applied kinesiology, neuro-linguistic programming, and BSFF (Be Set Free Fast) are proven to be effective in helping people as they enhance the health of their mental and emotional condition.

These tools are helpful only if you are willing to change. If you can change your attitude to life the possibility of having abundance attracted into your life will be increased. You may face difficulties in pursuing self improvements and inner changes. Just go on and continue the process because you will soon experience abundance as you enjoy every steps of the changing process.

As you change yourself into someone better to attract abundance, you should grab all the good opportunities in order to achieve your goals. Expect the possibilities that different opportunities will soon arrive therefore you need to prepare your self. The best preparation that you can do is to gain further education through skill trainings and other form of activities where you can get more beneficial information.

In this difficult time of life, you can still make your life abundant by being positive towards life, focus on what is good and right, be grateful of what you have, and avoid negative thoughts and feelings. Now is the time to start experiencing a happy and successful abundant life.

What To Know About Prophesy And The Mayan Calendar

By Sheree Foster

The ancient culture of the Mayans is little known or understood by most people. The Mayans were an extremely advanced culture, and they possessed a particularly insightful understanding of the solar system and its cycles. From this knowledge, they produced 22 calendars. Although the calendars were measurements of time, similar to our modern calendar, they also served another purpose. The Mayan calendars were also about prophesy, and marked changes in our social cycles. There is a lot of talk today about prophesy and the Mayan Calendar, and we will explore why.

The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012. This is causing many people to panic and doomsday scenarios abound about the end of the world. Others, though, believe a different interpretation of what it all means. Those who are not building underground shelters and stocking up food for the end of time, have another understanding.

The deep understanding of the solar system is the first place to look for a deeper meaning to the calendar. One prophesy described the end date to be the beginning of a period of extensive change and evolution around the globe. It describes a time when societies move away from destructive behaviors and move in the direction of harmony and peace instead. 1999 was the time for this process to begin and it was said to last for thirteen years, which is when the calendar ends.

Mayan beliefs explained processes in the universe. These processes are said to be fixed, and the only thing that changes are the attitudes and behaviors of humans who live in these times. If attitudes and behaviors do not change, then it was predicted that a cataclysm could indeed take place during this time of transition. It is up to us in the human race to embrace the changes we need to make in order to avert total disaster.

This alternative interpretation explains 2012 are a time to move forward in a good way, and not the end of the world scenario that others believe. It is possible for it to be the beginning of a period of peace and productivity and the creation of new societies. It could be a time when everyone in the human race can benefit.

Most people will agree that the prophesies of the Mayans are worth studying even today. One reason is because some point to situations that have come true. In the first prophesy destruction of our natural environment was predicted. That prophesy predicted the exact time in history that global warming became an issue. It is easy to see that the Mayans had knowledge that was well beyond the times of their existence.

Another prophesy called for a time of great change beginning in 1999. This was said to be a time for every human being to examine the details of their lives and make any necessary change that was possible. It was to be a time to move in a new direction and to change our relationships with others, eliminating fear along the way.

When it comes to prophesy and the Mayan calendar, you will find many conflicting beliefs. It is subject worth exploring, but you will need to come to your own conclusions. One thing is certain, the knowledge of the Mayans is important to us even today.

The Niceties of Life

By John Berling Hardy

"I did not attend his funeral; but I wrote a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain

Niceness is now universal in our society. Everyone and everything is nice to one another, by way of being nice to themselves. Niceness has come to define us, so that when historians come to write of our era they will speak of us as people who were unfailingly "nice".

No. Instead, I would suggest that it will be our niceness which really distinguishes us from those who inhabited other epochs.

This niceness should not be confused for genuine kindness or goodness. It is, at its root, an obsession with being thought well of, not merely by our peers, but by the entire TV audience. Niceness is a sham; sugar-coated narcissism. What lies behind kindness is genuine caring for the other. The energy behind niceness is somehow cloying, as if you were imploring someone to like you. The former is generous, the latter obsequious. The former comes from strength, the latter from weakness. Where one flourishes, the other cannot. Kindness and niceness are mutually exclusive.

Political correctness is not easy to define. It is the philosophy of emptiness, of stripping society bare of those distinguishing features which made it interesting in the first place. It is neither racist nor sexist - it opposes both forms of discrimination, being in essence both the opposite of discrimination and a form of discrimination in its own right. In the past propriety was determined dogmatically, but under political correctness dogmatic thought is ruled intolerant. Despite this, proponents of the phenomenon tend to be no less zealous in applying it than the dogmatists who preceded them.

And the result of these machinations? A world devoid of colour and expression; a bland world of sameness and conformity: in a word, a world of niceness.

It is the coup de grace on the part of the players who designed the game. Now they can do as they wish and cover their tracks with long speeches dripping with false sentiment. Anyone who speaks out against their schemes is marginalized for being too negative. As our rights are taken from us, and as we are herded about we are completely oblivious to the fact that we are in a gigantic prison, because it is so very, very nice!

Do Distance Learning Degrees Impress Employers?

By Mary Jack

Distance learning degrees and online degree programs have become popular since the internet became a household name. This has opened doors to a great opportunity for those wishing to pursue further education. But just as it is with everything new, the internet has also presented challenges and created room for sale of unscrupulous degrees and diplomas. The figures released by USA Today indicate that in 2003, over 400 diploma mills were in operation and the number was on the increase. Surprisingly, this dubious operation of degree mills seems to be thriving in an industry currently estimated at $500 million per year.

However, despite all the unpleasant information going around about distance learning degrees, the fact is there are plenty of legitimate universities and colleges offering online degree programs. These colleges are legitimate and not involved in any way in offering dubious and fake diplomas. Instead, these colleges are going the extra mile to provide quality education online by taking advantage of all available instructional resources such as quality instructional design coupled with video lectures, online digital libraries and proctored exams to ensure their students get quality education and a valid, qualified diploma. Unfortunately, numerous employers have not yet been sold into this alternative way of acquiring education, thus they still regard such degrees as invalid or dubious.

To avert the confusion, 6 accrediting agencies were set up by the National Education Board of the U.S government with the role of providing accreditation to colleges and universities who meet a set educational standard. This ultimately differentiates the legitimate colleges from the fake ones. Students enrolling in these accredited colleges can rest assured they are receiving quality and qualified education. Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) is an additional accrediting body which solely exists for the purpose of providing accreditation to colleges that offer distance learning degrees. DETC is a legit body that falls under the umbrella of the US Department of Education and CHEA.

Other distinguished specialized accreditation agencies exists that are designed to accredit specific course programs. Programs that meet the set standards of excellence are given accreditation by these specialized accredit ting agencies based on area of specialization. A good example of such an accrediting agency is International Association for Management Education (AACSB) which accredits accounting related programs. Also American Health Information Management Association is tasked with accrediting health programs in different colleges. It is worthy to note that all these accreditation agencies have to be recognized by CHEA for them to be considered as legit agencies.

Why does accreditation matter to a student? A college accreditation agency evaluates the different aspects of colleges or universities against minimum standard criteria to determine if the particular institution meets set basic requirements that determine the quality of education it should offer. College accreditation is important to ensure that the quality of education, facilities in a college and support given by that college meets certain standards while specialized accreditation checks the excellence of specific programs regardless of the institution offering that program. Likewise it means specialized accreditation check on course content and the curriculum of the program against pre-determined standards of the distance learning college or university.

Distance learning degrees from accredited institutions assure graduates, parents and prospective employers any degree earned is well deserved. The work completed has met the standards of adequately preparing people in their major area of study. Conversely, it also means colleges and universities not granted accreditation do not meet the standards of excellence required. Nevertheless, for the student who is only taking classes necessary to an area of specialization, only the courses need that all important stamp of approval.

The onus is on the employers to evaluate the credibility and validity of a campus offering distance learning degrees. Due to the rise in fake diplomas, it has only made employers become stricter in checking every applicant's diploma to ensure it is a valid one from an accredited institution. And since this can sometimes be complex and cumbersome for the employer, as a job applicant, you can make this process easier by providing any vital accrediting information to your prospective employer as you make your job application. This will ensure your application is not over-looked and will elevate your chance of landing a job interview.

You Can Find Happiness With Three Keys

By Fred Freddman

Believe it or not there are only 3 Secrets to a Happier Life. These secrets are powerful, universal and absolutely necessary if you are to live happily. Secret #1 - Know Yourself, Secret #2 - Love Yourself, Secret #3 - Be Kind to Others. This may sound overly simplified but lets explore what it really means.

#1 - To find yourself is a real challenge for most people. The reason is simple. It is because from early childhood we were taught that we are not all good. Certainly our parents and teachers were well intentioned. They wanted us to measure up to some standard that they thought was important for our happiness. Unfortunately they were wrong. There is no standard (or shouldn't be) other than our own and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally wrong with any of us.

But in reality you are your own ideal, you only need to discover who that person is. You are a unique individual with special talents and desires all your own. To find that person you need to uncover your long buried (perhaps never seen) passions. That's right, your passions. These are the people, places and things that you are deeply attracted to in life.

Look for your passions and you will find yourself. Most of us aren't really in touch with our passion because we have been trained not to be. But trust me, they are within you and just below the surface. The things that attract you or that make you curious are your keys. Pursue your interests, your curiosity and your attractions. Eventually you will discover who you really are.

#2 - Loving yourself is the next task. Once you know who you are, you must learn to appreciate that person just as you would your own child. There is something truly lovable about you as there is everyone. Give yourself credit for being someone worthy of your love.

In fact, what others may label as bad may be your best, bravest and most courageous qualities. After all, it takes courage to go against the accepted way of doing things. Only you can label yourself as bad and you shouldn't. Love your self like your own child because you are a child of God and you deserve that type of love.

#3 - Love Others. Never forget that essentially they are no different from you. We are ALL worthy. Of course they may not realize their own goodness or act on it all of the time. None of us do. but at core, they are just as special and worthy as you and you must see this in them or you will also fail to see it in yourself.

Believe it or not, the other people you find in your life are there for a reason. These are precisely the people you need to show you parts of yourself that you may be out of touch with. Yes, its true, we attract the people we need in order to learn more about ourselves. Everyone in your life has a purpose and that purpose is to teach you something about yourself that you my not know or have forgotten.

And there you have it ... the three secrets to leading a happier life. Even though most of this may sound familiar don't discount it. Its familiar for a reason ... because its true and you will keep hearing it until you get it. the universe intends for you to master these three universal truths and you can't graduate to ultimate happiness until you do.

What Your Body And Soul Crave

By Masami Sato

As the proverb goes, health is wealth. And in this instance we are talking about the wealth of the human spirit. Good food is necessary for our health because our body is able to absorb its full nutrients - it is exactly so with our life. When we accept life in its sum total, relishing all its phenomena and sensations, our soul will be able to imbibe its entire range of 'nutrients', comprehending the full meaning of our existence, and letting us live our life to the utmost. Masami Sato shares the secret of living a full life in this excerpt from her latest book, ONE.

Why is it many of us (in fact, most of us) occasionally experience some kind of empty feeling in our life? It is like being hungry. When we eat, we feel satisfied and become less interested in food. But as some time passes, we get hungry again. Then all of a sudden we feel so attracted to the smell and thought of food. We can also feel some kind of hunger when we are not even physically hungry-just after eating something. Some of us stay being hungry all the time.

Perpetual emotional vacuum is not the best of feelings. Then how do we live our lives to the maximum? How can we be more fulfilled forever?

Maybe the answer is straightforward: just live our lives fully. The word 'full' holds the meaning of entirety. Then the secret to live a life in entirety is only to live it fully.

Let us begin by looking at an example of this 'completion' with something very close to our mind - our stomach.

Whole Food VS Part Food

We are used to the usage 'whole food.' People say that taking whole food is the secret to the vigour and wellbeing that we require. How is whole food better than 'semi food?'

A complete grain pulsates with a life of its own. If one keeps the complete grain in water, drains it off and keeps it for a few days, it germinates. It has got a full life. When we consume such an item, our body absorbs the full spectrum nourishment. It has the ability to clean, cure and nourish various body cells.

And just like the example of a grain, most traditional eating includes eating whole animals as well. Eating whole fresh fish used to be more common than taking a part of fish and throwing the rest away. It was the same for meat and the same for vegetables.

'Semi food' at times is more sweet and aromatic but does not offer much nutrition. We may savour its taste, but we could become a victim of a long-time malady if we only ate 'semi food' every day of our life.

So, to make up for the missing half, we began to take nutritional supplements. We have been trying and researching for pretty long to find the perfect equilibrium. It gets more and more difficult as we slice the food up, add preservatives and transport, and even try to supplement with other parts coming from various sources, places and seasons. Some of the nutrients are not even from natural resources. They are synthetically generated. After it is tested and analysed, it is approved for man's consumption. But however hard we try, we cannot merge the 'bits' from different sources to make it alive.

Part Life-'Sweetness' of Life

So, if we view our life now, a lot of what we are doing is akin to eating 'semi food.' Just relishing the sweet taste of life but discarding the actual nourishing part. And if we immerse this 'semi life' in water with other bits and kept it under the sun, could it sprout and develop into a lovely full life?

Whole food is not (as some people view it) insipid. It is in reality very tasty if prepared expertly. But as the demand is minimal, it has become costly. It will in fact prove to be cheaper in the long run though, as we will not have to spend on medicines later on. When more people will opt to have it, it will normally become less costly because it is a simple food with little wastage and processing.

Our life is identical. When we are only conscious of the 'sweet taste' and discard the remainder into the dust bin because we do not realise its worth, we may be jettisoning the most important component. And that which we cast out could have the maximum power for the substantiation of our life and our financial system. It also needs more vigour and sources to throw it away. Better yet, that which we throw away comes at no cost.

So, what is that we are not looking at?

Imagine a life where we didn't really feel we were missing anything there.

The secret is right here. The secret of a complete life.

Whole Life-The Complete Life

When it is 'entire', it does not matter how large the entire is. It can swell concurrently. It can still hold within it all the parts to support itself as a full living being. Once it matures into a specific size, it can manage to live even without some of its components. Like plants can survive even after being consumed a bit by birds or trees can flourish even after they lose their leaves. But if we disregard the proportion for a very long time, ultimately it can begin creating a critical inequity. Then it could become too problematical to come back to normality.

We do not have to revert to Stone Age to find entirety. Entirety exists in the current. All we should do is watch intimately; watch intimately enough to actually see.

When we start seeing our life as a whole and stop throwing away what nourishes our life the most, we start feeling more and more fulfilled without looking for 'things' to fill holes and dents of our life. Everything finally falls into place. We now understand the mechanism of our world in a very different way.

Yes, it is now time to discover how we can fashion (and perceive) this equation consistently and affordably.

The actual sustaining element of our life is what makes us feel joyful deep down. It is like that component of food that makes our body strong in the long-term. Emotions we feel in our everyday life are the real solution to our permanent happiness. And there are emotions that make us feel more absolute.

The smiling visages we see when we acknowledge the merit of others. The happiness we feel when we give others gifts. The tenderness we feel when we see our children being happy. The motivation we get when we sense that our life is full of substance ..

Let's experience these moments of our life fully and enjoy the flavour of our whole life. Then we will see how it is not so necessary to continuously fill our mind (and stomach!) with temporal gratifications-those types of things that make us even hungrier afterwards.

We can actually sense this pleasure, gratefulness and ardour in order to be aware of life as a whole at any moment despite the conditions. It is not about what we find, what we learn or what we accomplish that finalize our life in its entirety. It is about what we 'elect to' experience about our life.

Yes, our life in fact is already whole.

When we start taking actions based on this understanding, we can become true masters of the balance creation-long-term health, wealth, nurturing relationship and happiness.

Enhance Your Life With Chakra Healing

By Jai Dahalli

A Chakra Perspective

A chakra relates to and broadcasts the energy of life force; it is a point of alignment in the body. Chakra comes from the Sanskrit word that describes a constantly spinning wheel or the sphere aural energy we each have. Hindu text tells us that there are many thousands of chakra points in each of our bodies. The most vital of these chakra points are those which run along the spinal column up to the crown of the head. These are the seven chakra points.

The seven chakras involve the root, navel, stomach, the heart, throat, and brow and the crown chakras. These featured chakra points have the ability to transmit and receive energy from the general surroundings as well as those individuals in it and other influential elements of the surroundings. Chakras can influence activities of an individual that deal with emotional, spiritual, intellectual, mystical, psychological and corporeal issues.

There is a common thread that runs through the viewpoint of Chinese medicine, the explanation of modern psychology of human thought processes and consciousness, or the Hindus mystical perception of the external and internal experience of an individual. That is that the chakras are indeed distinct concerning their definitions or explanations.

No matter if we are sleeping or awake the chakras are continually in motion. Our actions, deeds, glandular processes, structure, appearance and any physical disorders are influenced by this constant activity. An imbalance develops and then makes it known in other areas of our life or body when one or more of these chakras malfunctions for various reasons.

This happens because all the seven major chakras correspond with the associated endocrine gland within our body. When there is any type of imbalance in the functioning of a chakra it influences our emotional and physical processes and then reveals a disorder in the normal pattern of behavior or activity by means of the endocrine gland it associates with.

Maintaining the Balance of Chakra Using the above as our point of beginning, we can assume safely that the majority of our ailments and illnesses are related to our chakras. Even though there may not be enough materialization of imbalance or illness, there may yet be concerns or emotions that come from our childhood that influence us spiritually, emotionally and physically.

One of the biggest causes of chakra imbalance is the repressed or forgotten emotional baggage we carry due to those past traumatic experiences. Many individuals habitually bury their bad memories into their subconscious, unaware that these emotional toxins that are buried inside them will influence their bodies on a cellular level. Therefore, it is essential to deal with emotional baggage once and for all in order to maintain a proper balancing of the chakras which ignites a healing process to begin on the physical self.

Healing the Body Chakras Activities such as Reiki, color therapy, aromatherapy provides balance by using the healing properties of crystals, gemstones and pendulums.

The performances of yoga breathing and physical exercises are beneficial to maintaining chakra balance within the body and it is something that many individuals enjoy participating in.

There are other methods of chakra healing, they are meditation to keep the mind focused on a thought, awareness or object for a specific amount of time, a guided visualization which can be done while using CDs or audio tapes in order to encourage relaxation techniques and natural healing in order to reduce stress while promoting relaxation and harnessing mind power.

Chakras work unaided to maintain our body although we cannot touch or see our chakras.

In order for the chakras to be in balance the body must be fed properly and enjoy good health. Each of the seven major chakras has specific foods that aid in maintaining balance.

The root chakra is nourished with foods rich in protein, spices and root type vegetables. Nuts, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet fruits and seeds such as caraway and sesame nourishes the sacral chakra that of our sexual being and creativity. Breads, cereals, pasta, yogurt, dairy products and spicy mints nourish our stomach or solar plexus chakra which enhances our sense of self love and self confidence.

Green leafy vegetables and green tea will nourish the heart chakra. The throat chakra benefits from the nourishment of consuming a lot of water and fruit juices as well as tangy fruits such as peaches and apples.

The brow or third eye chakra which enhances our sharpness of third eye sight and an in-depth sense of our own psychical gifts is nourished by consuming grapes, blueberries, grape juice and wine.

Our emotional and spiritual center the crown chakra requires a good detoxification. This is done by ritual inhalation of herbs and incense and fasting.

When we influence our chakras by stimulation, we do influence our health. When we do so we become more responsive in our everyday and spiritual life, while we are more able to tune in completely to our surroundings and various other elements of the metaphysical and physical environment in which we live our lives.

How Empirical-Rational Thought Forced Out the Church

By John Berling Hardy

During the Middle-Ages the Catholic Church maintained a monopoly over determining what was and was not acceptable to believe. When the upstart Florentine Galileo Galilei came to them with a challenge, arguing that the Earth goes round the Sun, and not the other way around, he was dismissed as a rogue and an heretic.

Now, it seems the tables have turned and science, or rather conventional science, has replaced the Church as the guardian of orthodoxy. An example of this is the contention that, unless something can be measured and quantified, it does not exist. Extra sensory perception provides us with a good example. A phenomenon for which there is strong anecdotal evidence is dismissed as charlatanism, simply because it does not lend itself to being readily simulated under laboratory conditions. By extension, anything that is not measurable is treated as non-existent.

In our world there is very little that is truly measurable. For instance how does one measure kindness, graciousness, dignity, or love? Only the most diehard of the scientific realists would subject all their emotional attachments to their family and friends to the same ruthless scrutiny.

Consider now the way in which the rich and the powerful justify their methods by means of constant recourse to a litany of so-called facts. These need not be objectively true; they need not even be provable. What matters is that they are presented as irreproachable, and that they therefore come to be accepted by the speaker's audience as undeniable and fundamental. Note also how every society on earth has its own individual set of "fundamental" facts.

Like the Catholic Church of the Middle Ages, today's scientific establishment rejects all attempt to argue with its orthodoxy. The Inquisition used to use a test to determine whether a suspect was guilty in the case of a blasphemy. The subject would be bound and held underwater. If they survived they were held to be innocent. If they died, their guilt was maintained. Either way the Inquisitors could not lose - if the subject was allowed to live it was an instance of God's miraculous mercy; if he died he was a victim of God's just judgement.

The bias towards the tangible - that which can be proven by use of the scientific method - may be found in the way we treat the supernatural. Although the term refers specifically to those phenomena which are without natural explanation, the term is increasingly used to refer to anything and everything not rationalised by our contemporary science. This we cannot justify on grounds of logic. If a higher order exists it must control all things which we experience - both natural and supernatural. To suggest that one is validated by the laws of science while the other goes unexplained, existing outside their remit does not answer so many questions as it poses. All this merely goes to show how limiting our reliance on science really is.

What motivates us to adopt a scientific stance is nothing other than our own fear of the dark. It diminishes us in our own eyes. It erodes our sense of supremacy to think there are things in this world which are unknown, possibly unknowable. Why is it so difficult for us to simply say that we do not know?

It Really Is Not Difficult To Become Clairvoyant

By Madeleine Cole

Have you ever thought you could become clairvoyant? You can, but first, you need to understand clearly what clairvoyance is. What does it mean to be clairvoyant? In fact, this is one of the most interesting areas of the paranormal, and it's a topic of discussion as well. Talk shows often include clairvoyant guests who have apparently been able to look into the audience and diagnose sickness, solve crimes, or even tell someone how many children he or she would eventually have.

Those who have the power of clairvoyance are said to be using an extra sense that the rest of us do not possess. This sense enhances their knowledge giving them a window into the future and past and allowing them to see and hear events before they happen or in some cases to look at events that happened in the past.

Clairvoyance as a skill works because if you are clairvoyant, you can connect with the universe at large on a sort of spiritual or energy level instead of on the linear level most of us do. Clairvoyants are in the habit of opening up their minds and their spirits, so that their world becomes both deeper and clearer. They can see things most of us can't.

If you'd like to become clairvoyant yourself, you indeed can do this if you truly wish to. It's not always clear what it's going to take you 'make' you access your clairvoyant talents, but for some people, it may be a near death experience. In all cases, it's some sort of deep awakening, perhaps spiritual, that allows them to tap into this particular skill. Or, you can do it in a more roundabout (but arguably easier) way by practicing until you can access your clairvoyant skills.

To get started, first take a look at how developed your own personal paranormal powers are. It might surprise you to know that absolutely everyone is born with at least some 'clairvoyant' talent. Most children, for example, have these abilities and perceptions naturally, but are told to 'stop imagining things,' to 'grow up,' and other things that simply squelch this natural talent. As they grow, they also gradually learn to ignore these feelings and thoughts to take on what is more 'acceptable' in behavior.

To claim your clairvoyant powers as you once had them, you can use meditation to help you increase your self-awareness of these skills so that you can access these thoughts freely and without doubt. Meditation can also let you simply 'wash away' daily stresses and negative beliefs and thoughts, so that once they're released, you can become clear about how to keep them away, and put up boundaries so that they don't reenter your life.

Instead, when you meditate, focus on clarifying your thoughts and letting the universe give you information about what can happen next. When you're working on this particular skill, don't try to force anything; you will see and hear things that you may or may not think are real. That's perfectly fine. The universe will know the information you need and will let it come your way. Embrace this information and learn from it. When you're just starting out come your going to see things like images that are rather nebulous, or you may hear a voice speaking. You may see textures, colors, you may feel emotions, or you may have a very brief vision of something that's unfolding but not quite know what it is.

As you continue, you will learn to trust your clairvoyant instincts and will become more secure about what you feel, hear and see; as you meditate, these visions and sounds, and the information that comes to you, will be clear and sharp and will give you a better understanding of what's happening. Yoga as well can be a wonderful tool that can help you explore your connection to the universe spiritually, and you can also grow your knowledge of these signs and symbols often found when you pursue clairvoyance. To gain this information, you can read books and articles, as well as other information about clairvoyance.

As you pursue this further, you can also use palm readings, tarot cards, dream interpretation and other methods to scry for meaning. As you practice, you'll be better able to make sense of what you hear and see. In addition, as you continue to practice, you may meet other clairvoyants, and they, too, can help you develop your talents and see how far they can go.

When you become clairvoyant, one of the things you must do is to free up your negative energy by releasing other negatives from your life. If this is something you need to do, take a very close look at your home, family and work life, and adjust as necessary so the negatives go away. If anything in your life, in any area, causes you to feel negative energy of any kind, you can do a cleansing of your home or do other rituals that will release negative emotions and energy that simply stay in your life. This is something you can also do with work colleagues, relatives, or other people in your life that give you 'vibes' of negative energy, that give you chills, or that just make you feel out of sorts. To do this, you can practice what are called aura cleansings.

Aura cleansings don't harm people; they simply purge negative or stagnant energies where they need to be purged. To keep cleansings' results steady, you can also keep a crystal in your home or imagine yourself covered in white light whenever you sense negative energy; this can help you purge negative energies whenever they occur and can help you refocus, too. Keeping your chakras cleansed, too, can help you resist negative energy whenever it might arise.

In order to be clairvoyant, you have to believe that you have this power. If you have low self-esteem or you doubt your abilities, take heart; you can work on this low self-esteem and negativity in order to fully develop clairvoyant powers. However, you must be clear in order to trust them fully -- and trust yourself, too. Practice daily affirmations and learn to listen to that small internal voice or other internal cues so that you develop trust in yourself.

When you develop your clairvoyant powers, you'll see that you have a lot of resources available to you that you didn't know about before. Sometimes, famous clairvoyants can become famous themselves; they can author books on clairvoyance, they can do celebrity readings, or they can make television appearances.

Make Your Life Incredible - Start To Use Your Mind Power

By Charlie Walbank

Your mind is an incredibly powerful thing, and it's actually a magnet to things that happen in your life. What you think and see is eventually what you're going to attract. This is known as The Law of Attraction and is specifically the power of your own mind. Basically, the Law of Attraction says that, 'As you think, so shall you be.' In other words, if you think something is going to happen to you, eventually it probably will. You can make that work in your favor, because you can change your mind to the positive - but you have to think, envision, feel, literally embody it before it can happen. It's going to take some practice to do this, likely, but that's true of anything you're going to get good at. Once you know how to use it, though, you'll see that the power of your mind is just astonishing.

Every one of us has this power, but most of us don't think we have the capability to use it. In fact, it's been shown that we humans only use about 10% of our brainpower, but think about that for a minute. Isn't that crazy? We usually find something that's simple, and then stick with it. And in fact, that's why so many of us struggle with life. Our thoughts are negative because we don't think that what we want can truly be ours. So what this means is that we continue to attract negativity to us, which of course plays itself right out in front of our eyes.

But here's the simple truth. Reality first happens within your mind. Everything you've gotten to this point has been as a result of how you think. And while it's been said that everyone has some extra sensory skill or power, or that they are 'psychic,' in fact, these people really only practice an ability we have, too, which is using their advanced mind power capabilities. If you want something in life, you have to think that you can have it. And of course, if you think only the bad is going to happen, then that's what you'll end up with, too.

There are several things you can do if you want to begin to increase the amount of mind power you currently have. One of those things is the use of visualization. This very powerful technique will help you develop your current mind power state so that it becomes more powerful; this, in turn, should lead to results when it comes to you getting everything you want in life.

When you visualize, what you do is to sit down and create pictures and images inside your mind's eye. Doing so is going to bring these images to life in your own reality, but first, you have to start by thinking about it. You need to get your subconscious mind involved, too, because your subconscious mind is very powerful when it comes to creating your own real-life from the images you see. In fact, it can do this very powerfully. However, there's a caveat with this, and that is that you only think about positive things so that only the positive comes to you. So before you start with this exercise, think about how you really want your life to be before you sit down and visualize.

You might try this: Write everything down on a piece of paper, either as a list or as though you were telling a story. What goals do you have for yourself? Then, create what you visualize around these goals. Writing these things down will make it hard for you to simply ignore them another day. Try doing this several times a day at first until what you're doing becomes 'real' to you.

You can also increase your mind power by doing affirmations. Affirmations are simply little pieces of encouragement that you give yourself as you go throughout your day. It can be a bit of positive encouragement about anything. For example, you can say that you're going to lose 10 pounds in a month. Keep saying these positive things, and eventually, you'll see that these things just begin to happen. And it doesn't matter whether or not you're used to it at first, either. If you do something for 28 consecutive days, like any habit, it's going to become natural to you.

You can also develop your mind power by using brainwave entrainment. This is simply synchronizing brain waves through the use of different frequencies, by using audio technology. Our brains are very good at doing things, and one of them is that it can actually heal itself. Entrainment can actually help you tap into this even more. It may also be able to help you enhance your memory and bring already existent psychic powers into effect. The different frequencies can do a lot as concerns mind power. Although very advanced, this type of procedure does work very well, and can even be miraculous.

Hypnosis, too, is another powerful way to develop your mind's power. Many people have used it successfully, for example, to quit smoking. The way it works for this is that they simply went to a trained hypnotist who was able to help them access their subconscious and then 'feed' them suggestions that told them smoking wasn't fun anymore, they didn't crave nicotine anymore, smoking made them feel ill, and so on. Like any kind of subconscious 'training,' the hypnosis doesn't usually work instantly, but it does work as long as it's done by somebody who knows what they're doing. Eventually, after several sessions, smokers do indeed have success and can quit by truly really quashing the desire to smoke because their subconscious has also let go of it. The hypnotist was successful in doing this because they got in touch with the person's subconscious and enabled it to believe that the person in question could quit smoking.

Again, literally everyone has this power, the power of the mind. It's a matter of believing in your abilities and then working on developing them. Again, this isn't likely to happen overnight, but it will happen if you stay focused. You can have the life you want. You can change your circumstances from bad to good, or your luck from bad to good. As you work on developing your mind power, you can then train it out into the universe for good, so that what you put out will manifest back to you in the positive, and is what you desire. It all starts with your own mind's power. How powerful is yours?

Dealing With A Break Up Before It Ruins Your Life

By Nikki Frost

Sometimes dealing with a break up is difficult. It's rarely easy unless you're so glad to get out of a situation that you can't wait to make changes and move on. A break up disrupts your whole life. Everything you do and see seems to remind you of your ex. If you had many mutual friends, even going out to keep from going stir crazy can be difficult.

One of the biggest hurdles you have to face when dealing with a break up is your family and friends. If your ex was popular with your family, you're going to get tired of questions about the situation. You must explain to them that you're dealing with a break up and moving on, the break up is over, and that you don't appreciate constantly being reminded of your ex and the past relationship.

Sometimes this is difficult for family with dealing with a break up. They want to keep bringing up the person in the hopes that you'll get back together. You can just explain, "Moving on, break up is over, that's that."

Eventually they'll come around because they're your family and they love you. It's probably going to be harder to deal with when it comes to your friends.

If you never had the same friends, it may be little easier. But if you both socialized with the same people, it will be weird for your friends when you are no longer together. And it will be even harder dealing with a break up when your ex wants to hang out with them too.

You can even collide when around the same friends. A breakup with your mate does not mean you should have to breakup with your friends also. Maintaining certain friendships may be difficult after you break up.

As hard as it may be, when you are dealing with a break up and are ready to move on, you may have to end some of those mutual friendships. You and your ex may have to come to an agreement to only hang out will some of those friends.

Just keep your closest friendships, and let your ex do the same. While this may be painful at first, it will be better for everyone, since they won't have to take sides and choose who to hang out with. And that's important when dealing with a break up.

Understand How Incredible Your Own Mind Power Is

First, understand that 'reality' is within your mind. Whatever you've got to this point has been because of your mind's power. A lot of people think that everyone has extra sensory or psychic powers. But you have to make an effort for these powers to come out. Your mind power is real; just choose to use it. If you want something in life, you have to think it and believe it's going to be true. However, if you think the worst is going to happen - well, it probably will.

I can hear you asking, 'But what can I do to change things?' And the fact is, you can begin to increase your mind's power by doing several things. First of all, do something called visualization. This very powerful technique can help you focus and develop your current mind power state, so that you can literally 'flip the switch' and learn how to use it; and learn how to increase it, too.

When you visualize, simply sit down and create pictures and images in your mind's eye. This can help you a manifest these images in reality. First, though, you have to start with your subconscious. The subconscious mind is the most powerful tool you have, and bring what is in your subconscious mind into reality the way nothing else can. However, the drawback to this is that you have to think positive in order to have positive things come to you. Therefore, it's best to 'practice' the way that you want to think and live before you actually try to do this.

You can also use affirmations to increase your mind power. Affirmations are simply little, encouraging positive sayings that you can save yourself throughout the day. It can be about anything. For example, if you want to lose 10 pounds, you can say something to the effect of, 'I'm losing the extra weight effortlessly and easily.' As you continue to say this, you may notice that truly, the weight is actually coming off pretty easily. It'll just naturally start to happen. And it doesn't matter if it's something you're not used to it first. If you do it for 28 days, you'll notice that it'll start to become a habit.

There's also another technique you can use to develop your mind's power, called 'entrainment.' Entrainment is simply synchronization of brain waves using different frequencies through audio technology. Our brains are naturally attuned to doing several different things, one of which is to heal themselves. You can tap into this power even more by using this kind of advanced audio-based technology. You can also enhance your memory and bring into effect the psychic powers you have, which already exist. This is a pretty advanced procedure, but it does work.

Hypnosis can also help to increase your mind power by helping you relax and get into your subconscious mind directly. For example, hypnosis has been used successfully to help others quit smoking. These people simply go into a session with a trained hypnotist, relax, and listen to the trained hypnotist tell them again and again that smoking tastes very bad, that they don't have the desire, that they're repulsed by it, and that they're ready to quit. And although this may take several sessions (just as any habit-training will), it does work. These hypnotists can help people believe for themselves that they can quit smoking. And all of that happens through the power of the subconscious mind - with a little help from the hypnotist.

Again, literally everyone has a powerful mind, and it's just a matter of believing in your abilities and some practice. It's probably not going to happen overnight (after all, it does require practice), but if you do this, you can change your circumstances and turn your luck around. You must be able to communicate to the universe what is that you want, and it will come back to you manifested in physical form. All of this, of course, starts with your subconscious mind. It's very powerful; you just have to tap into it and see the power you possess.

All Reality Is Merely The Power Of Mind

By William J Stevens

As the college fund commercials back in the 80s said, 'the mind is a terrible thing to waste'. The commercial wasn't really about what we're going to be talking about here, but the idea is one which can be applied here as well. You definitely don't want to waste the power of the mind, especially your own. You can tap into the power of your own mind to make positive changes in your life.

You're certainly at least somewhat familiar with The Secret, whether or not you've ever read the book or watched the film, you probably know the basics of the law of attraction which is the central idea of the work. When you think about things, you attract them to you - whether you do so consciously or not.

In a way, you can see this effect at work in clinical trials where it is known as the placebo effect. It's all about mind over matter. When you think about something; rather, when you believe in something, the power of the mind can make it happen.

All of us have experienced something like this in our own lives. We all have those days where we wake up thinking that this is going to be a bad day - and in fact, these days usually are. This is the power of the mind at work.

There is an ever growing amount of evidence for a scientific basis to the power of the mind, with one of the most intriguing ideas coming from the world of quantum physics. This is the possibility that matter either does not take shape until an observer is there to witness it. This suggests that the power of the mind may actually be what shapes the universe, not the other way around.

Many scientists now believe that many things which we think of as supernatural are in fact explainable through hard science, although we're only beginning to understand just how it is that telepathy, ESP and other mental phenomena work.

Even though you may not have really thought about it too much yet, the power of your mind can be the key to changing your life for the better. If you could use the power of your mind to make the universe work with you rather than against you, wouldn't you want to learn how? Keep reading for some techniques which can help you to access your own mental potential to achieve your goals in life.

The first step is to have a goal; this has to be a specific, rather than a general goal. Instead of thinking 'I want to be rich', think 'I want three million dollars'. Having a specific goal makes it easier for you to focus your mental energies on achieving your objective. Learning to focus is the key here; most of the time, you may have dozens of different thoughts going on at once.

Many people already understand the power of the mind and they expend a great deal of time and effort into putting their mental energy towards meeting their goals. These people focus on their objective, putting all of their thoughts and actions towards their goal - they put the full power of the mind in order to overcome obstacles and make it towards what they want. Since their minds are in control and they are putting all of their resources towards attaining their goals, they make it a reality. It all sounds so easy, but it is not quite as easy as it may seem.

By learning to control the power of the mind, you can gain the ability to influence the world around you and achieve just about anything you'd like. Suppose that you want a new home. You spend a lot of time thinking about it in great detail, going so far as to visualize how you'll cultivate the back yard and the colors you'll paint every room in the house. You begin putting all of your energy towards this goal, taking steps like angling for a promotion so you can make the money you need to purchase this new home, start thinking about how you'll do the work necessary to set things up exactly the way you'd like and even researching how to get the best possible mortgage.

After you've put your effort towards it, your dream starts coming true - the house goes up for sale, you are able to secure the mortgage, your offer is accepted and everything goes fine. It's all because you've been putting your thoughts and your energy into achieving your goal; this is what makes it happen for you.

This is something you can do; something everyone can do. Believe in the power of your mind and you can achieve anything - set your mind on a small goal and work your way up to bigger and better things as you go.

Successful Chakra Balance - More Secrets!

By Christy Tanner

If you want to learn about the concept of chakra balance you have to understand chakra's in general first. Chakras are our energy stations or centers. Chakras are your openings in your body for life energy to flow in and out of your aura.

One of their many beneficial tasks is the vitalization of the physical body as well as the healthy development of the self-conscious, they relate to our emotional, mental and physical relationships and activity.

What does a chakra look like, you might wonder. Most often they are likened to the appearance of a lotus flower, since they are have the appearance of a being funnel in their shape, with smaller funnels within the larger funnel.

Everyone has seven chakras and every chakra has a corresponding color association. Here we will learn of each chakra, the benefit of chakra balance and how they work to relieve stress and enhance your life and well being.

Starting at the base of the spine and ending at the top of the head, you will find seven chakras. The names of the chakras are the root chakra, solar plexus and heart chakras, the throat, brow or third eye and the crown chakra.

To accomplish a chakra balance you can eat certain foods which help to ground and re-energize your chakras.

Root Chakra: Beans, beets, carrots, eggs, garlic, meat, parsnips, potatoes, radishes and tofu products.

Sacral Chakra: Almonds, cinnamon, honey, mangos, melons, strawberries and many others.

For you solar plexus chakra, this will help with self-esteem, try eating flax seed, cereal, milk, cheeses, ginger, mints, and others.

Heart Chakra: Basil, broccoli, green tea, kale, sage, spinach and thyme. These types of foods and spices aid in healing any emotional pain.

It is easier to speak your truth by feeding the throat chakra such foods as plums, pears, limes, lemons, apples, kiwi, lemon grass and salt.

Brow Chakra: Black berries, blueberries, lavender, poppy seeds and red grapes encourage the awakening of the sense of the third eye.

For the final chakra your crown chakra, this will help to open and clear spiritual communication try the following incense sage, copal, myrrh, frankincense, and juniper.

This is only a partial list of some of the foods, drinks, and spices that will help out your chakra. For a chakra balance you just need to learn how to focus better on your chakra centers.

You can also do a chakra balance by using gemstones and placing the gemstone on each chakra point, with each point you can do an individual chakra balance and leave a gemstone on your chakra for three to five minutes depending on the amount of balance you feel you need to accomplish. You would start at the root chakra when doing this.

You can use any kind of gemstone, but some people suggest certain gemstones for each chakra. But this list isn't always the same for each person; you can test this out by buying a few kinds of gemstones. Once you place the gemstone on your chakra you will possibly notice a humming or a feeling that feels good if you are using the proper gemstone. If you feel a negative feeling, or just the gemstone doesn't feel correct, do not use that gemstone for that chakra again.

Experiment with various gemstones until you find the one that provides you with the best feelings and then make a list of the chakra and the type of gemstones you use. For example, you may wish to use a black onyx on your root chakra, which is popular with many individuals, however, it may not be the best choice of gemstone to use for your chakra. Never assume that a suggested gemstone is the best choice for you to use, since what works for some, may not work for others. Experiment until you find your perfect gemstone.

You can balance all of the chakra centers at the same time, by placing your gemstones on each chakra point for approximately three to twenty-five minutes, depending on how much balance you feel your chakras need.

Many people are finding that the easiest and quickest way to achieve chakra balance is by using the latest audio technology which balances your own chakras by reproducing the sound frequency associated with each one.

Just by listening to the special sounds on headphones your chakras become instantly balanced!

Unravel the Mystery of Chakra Healing and Reap its Benefits!

By Anne-Marie Laureaut

What is Chakra According to the ancient Hindus?

The human body consists of 88,000 chakras, also referred to as continuously spinning or active energy points that act as portals to receive, interact and transmit life forces between an individual and his surroundings. Chakra is Hindu for spinning wheel. Of the bodys 88,000 energy points, seven are regarded to have major importance in the overall function of our being.

Although there is no common denominator between the ancient Hindu and Chinese cultures, they are very similar in their interpretation and explanation about the role of these energy points in our health and lives in general. Both the Hindus and the Chinese look at the bodys major energy points as playing important roles in our conscious and subconscious experiences. And that these seven energy points are the keys to a healthy and successful life.

Chakras are defined in various ways but there is one common thread among all of the definitions and explanations whether from the Chinese medicine point of view, the Hindus mystical understanding of an individuals internal and external experience or modern psychologys explanation of human our consciousness and thought processes.

Since the chakras are constantly in motion regardless if we are awake or not, their constant activity influences our bodys structure and appearance, glandular processes, physical disorders, even our thoughts and conduct. Therefore when one or more of our chakras malfunction due to any number of reasons, the result is an imbalance that becomes manifest in all aspects of our being.

The reason for this is because each of the seven major chakras is linked to a corresponding endocrine gland in our body. Any imbalance in the function of a chakra affects our physical and emotional processes and manifests a disturbance in the usual pattern of activity or behavior through the endocrine gland linked to it.

Maintaining the Optimum Functions of our Chakras Using the foundations of the ancient Hindus and Chineses understanding and interpretation of the functions of our bodys energy points, especially the seven major ones, we can safely arrive at the conclusion that not all our illnesses are viral; some are very likely related to the malfunction of one or all of our chakras. Physical symptoms of illness may not be present or minimal at the very least, but our feelings of discontent, stress, excitement are signs that something is wrong with us either on the physical, spiritual or emotional levels.

These factors could be anything ranging from repressed traumatic incidents during early childhood to wrong diet, unhealthy lifestyle and the like. One thing is certain, and that is we have to remove these physical or emotional toxins from our bodies because they affect us greatly.

Chakra Healing is Good for Our Body We can directly influence our chakras and their functions and through them our health and lives by employing techniques such as Reiki healing, aromatherapy, color therapy, chakra balancing with the aid of a pendulum, crystals or gemstones.

Simple and straightforward practice of color and aroma therapy, controlled breathing exercises and rhythmic exercise routines, Reiki healing and directed meditation with the use of audio even crystals and gemstones are but some of the ways we can do on our own to influence the process of interaction of our bodys energy points.

For example, the practice of Yoga and directed meditation are but two of the commonly used healing methods to align and enhance our energy points in order for us to achieve total relaxation and concentration regardless of where we are. This is very helpful in relieving stress and enhances the bodys natural healing processes.

Despite the fact that we can see or touch our energy points, aside from the above there are other ways that we can keep them healthy in order for them to better support our body.

Since our diet affects our body and our system, they also affect the stability and synchronization of our major energy points. The food we eat can either make them work better, slowly or not at all!

Root-type vegetables, protein-rich foods and spices nourish our root chakra. The sexual and creativity (sacral) chakra needs sweet fruits, nuts and cinnamon, vanilla, sesame and caraway seeds; the stomach/solar plexus chakra which is responsible for enhancing our self-confidence and self-love are can be nourished by eating breads, pastas, cereal, dairy products, yogurt and minty spices.

The heart chakra thrives on our intake of green leafy vegetables and green tea. Our throat chakra needs lots of liquid like water and fruit juices and tangy fruits including apples and peaches.

Blueberries and grapes are the primary source of nourishment of our energy point for the third eye. It is also helps if we drink wine or grape juice.

The last of the seven major energy points, the crown, does not need nourishment but requires fasting in order to be detoxified.

By influencing our chakras, we are also directly influencing our health in general. This leads to a more responsive existence complete in tune with our surroundings and all other elements of both the physical and metaphysical world we live in.

Dealing With A Break Up Despite How Complicated It Sounds

By Nikki Frost

If you were not inclined to a break-up, break-up may hurt you. Your entire life is affected by a breakup; everything and every place seems to conjure up memories of your ex. You will even have to evaluate your friendships to see if they are worth the emotions caused by seeing them.

If you didn't have many mutual friends, then it should be less of a problem dealing with a break up. But if the two of you often hung out with the same group of people, then you going alone to be with those friends is going to seem strange to everyone for a while. And then there's the problem of your ex wanting to hang out with the friends, too.

You can even collide when around the same friends. A breakup with your mate does not mean you should have to breakup with your friends also. Maintaining certain friendships may be difficult after you break up.

As difficult as it may seem, when you choose to separate and end a relationship, you may make things easier to end some of your mutual friendships as well. Dealing with a break up is easier if you and your ex are open with mutual friends.

Sometimes dealing with a break up is just too difficult when you're surrounded by mutual friends and so many places to go together. If possible, go on a vacation to get away from the same scenery and people. Once you're ready for dealing with a break up, then if you can take some time away it can help you a great deal.
