Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Effective Ways Of Dealing With A Break-Up

By Julie Wilson

Different people respond differently in dealing with a break-up. But there are some commonalities, and these common afflictions do have some cures that help heal a broken heart. The point of this exercise is to learn from others, instead of repeating the same mistakes.

Stop Fighting: Continuing to pour all the pain and anger of the breakup on hapless friends and relatives may make some people feel better. But after some time, it is just a plea for attention and pity. Worst part of it is that it keeps alive all the hurt and prevents people from moving ahead with a new life sans the ex.

Get a Life: The most important thing that can be done to get past the heartbreak and anguish is to fill the void. Find ways to keep busy - mentally and physically. This can mean a whole lot of different things for different people.

It's not easy to fill this hole, but it is necessary to avoid thinking about the breakup every waking hour. For starters, sitting on the couch watching tv or living in an alcohol induced daze doesn't help. It is essential to find something to be passionate about - something that not just work or a chore, but also a pleasure.

Women who spend all their time at home might want to consider getting a job that provides direction and a sense of purpose. Men who never had any time for friends or fun might want to make good use of this opportunity to reduce a golf handicap or start enjoying the evening out. One very good way to forget all about the breakup and start enjoying life is to travel.

Get a Makeover: There's no such thing as a bad time for a makeover. But the timing and significance is especially good right after a breakup. It's like the old look represents everything associated with the ex, and the new one means a fresh start. As a bonus, the new look will also prove helpful when its time to get hold of someone new.

Start Going Out: Everything discussed above deals mostly with self-improvement, but at some point it becomes necessary to broaden the horizons. This means getting up off the couch and giving up eating takeouts alone. Start meeting friends, and go to parties and events to meet new people. This doesn't necessarily have to lead to dates right away, but dealing with a break-up in this way will surely help in getting past the heartbreak quickly.
