Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

How To Convey Your Own Identity

By Regina Lockhart

Everyone has his or her own identity: the set of thoughts, beliefs, actions, and personality traits that make us who we are. Understanding our own identity can be tremendously helpful in being successful in life, yet many people don't discover who they really are until they're 30 or 40 years old.

We all face challenges in life but the truth is that these challenges only serve as catalysts for us to discover who we really are. It's easy to feel overcome with all of life's difficulties, however, and many people fail to use these challenges to better themselves.

If you're looking to discover your own identity but don't know where to begin, here are a few tips on how to learn more about yourself. These ideas can get you started on the path to self-discovery.

One of the easiest ways to reflect your personality through your outward appearance is through the styles of clothing that you wear. The colors and fashions that you present in your clothing can tell someone a lot about your personality.

Your fashion and style choices say a lot about you, so take the time to look at different styles of clothing to find what fits you. You may find a new interest in fashion once you realize that there's something out there that fits your personality, and it can help you learn something about your own tastes as well.

You can also use your hobbies to express yourself. Those in creative fields such as music and acting spend a tremendous amount of time perfecting their crafts so that they can make their voices heard and express their personalities and points of view.

It's said that actions speak louder than words, which is also true when it comes to our identities. The actions we take on a daily basis can say a lot about who we are on the inside.

Some ideas for positive actions that can help you learn about yourself include volunteering and helping out your community. Not only will these good deeds help you appreciate how helping others can teach you about your own identity, but you'll feel great for coming to the aid of others as well.
