Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Musing And Thoughts On The Nature Of The Color Green

By David Artstone

The color green is more than just a slice of the color wheel. It is a series of tones that have a definite meaning on the psychology and philosophy of the human experience. It is symbolic, both on a societal, and on a personal level. It means something, and that meaning helps to color the world.

The most overriding characteristic of the color green is that it is representative of life. Nature is green, from the leaves on the trees to the grass underfoot; nature is a symphony of green tones, spotted only randomly with other disparate hues. This means that green tones are invariably linked to the natural world, and to the act of growing, and living.

In general this is a good thing, making green a vibrant color that invigorates a space and makes it feel more active. Green tones can give a room a sense of being fresh and lively, and can help to add energy to a room that might otherwise be drab of blas.

However the association of green with life is not always a positive one. Some green tones invoke thoughts of sickness, plague, or death. In those tones the life that the green is associated with is viral or bacterial, or even fungal in nature, and so is actually harmful to humans. When choosing colors in art or design, it is important to be aware of this aspect of certain green tones.

Aside from being vigorous, green is also a soothing tone. It doesn't tend to incite excitability or anger. Instead it creates a soft and peaceful atmosphere. It is a color which is not exactly lethargic, still vigorous, but also not chaotic, just mild.

The color green has a number of symbolic properties which gives it a much richer and more complex identity than just that of a random color. By understanding the meaning behind the hue, you can get a richer vision of the entire world.
