Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Overcoming Tragedy Through Codestiny Sheryl Sandberg

By Mark King

Individuals often go through difficult challenges throughout a lifetime. One of the only ways to get through these moments is to consider what you have been through and use the experience as a motivating force to become stronger, mentally and physically. After a husband's sudden and unexpected death, a former CEO at Facebook and author is now sharing the techniques used in the recovery process known as codestiny Sheryl Sandberg.

The movement, regardless of the type of trauma which one may have experienced has helped thousands of people. For, while losing a spouse or other loved one to death is extremely difficult, painful and depressing, there are other types of loss and struggles. As such, codestiny relates to any one whom has experienced any type of trauma such as accident, death of a loved, family related event, or end to a relationship.

In codestiny, the individual learns how to make difficult decisions without the assistance of others, especially when the assistance is unnecessary, unsought or unwanted. In addition, by getting rid of the people who drain energy by always taking from, and never giving to, a friendship or relationship, one can often move forward faster in the recovery process. For, it is not healthy to surround oneself with negative people at any time, though especially when attempting to overcome trauma.

Good hygiene, yoga, meditation and regular exercise routines are also mechanisms which can help in the healing and recovery process. For, in staying fit in body, mind and spirit, it can often be easier to determine negative influences from those which are positive. Whereas, these can also be great methods in letting go of anger, resentment and disappointment.

When going through any difficulty or challenge in life, it helps to focus attention elsewhere. For example, by getting involved in a hobby or activity, the individual can focus attention somewhere other than on the recent event which caused trauma. In other cases, it might be more suitable for an individual to attend a support group to learn how others worked to overcome the same or similar challenges in life.

The more people an individual know, the more likely the ability to find a job or start a career. For, networking is the new way of interviewing for a number of employers. Whereas, it also helps to have individuals to share a conversation, a meal, or a cup of coffee on a whim with someone familiar.

Exercise and networking with others also have other benefits. For, not all people can experience a complete recovery after trauma. As such, many of these individuals often have fits or panic attacks at the slightest mention of the event. While this is the case, when those people start to embrace whom they are now from who they were then, the fits and panic attacks often fade in time.

A number of people, once having recovered from a trauma, sometimes feel it necessary to give back to others. Whether this be community, friends or acquaintances, especially the ones whom were there during the most difficult times, just the act of giving back can often calm body, mind and soul. In most cases, these individuals focus on groups and organizations which host community service events and volunteer jobs. For many, volunteering at an organization related to the type of trauma one experienced while talking to victims of all different types of trauma has helped more than a few get through the recovery process.
