Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Spiritual Enlightenment

By Garry Yates

Becoming 1 with nature throughout a vision quest is among the most potent experiences a great deal of participants report in the finish of their solo time in nature.

What generally occurs when investing an extended period of time in nature is the fact that the 'noise' inside your thoughts starts to quieten. Rather than thinking of limitless 'things to do' your interest instead starts to shift to what is going on around you.

For instance, whenever you wake up on a vision quest rather than speeding off to possess breakfast, preparing and thinking about all the stuff you have to do for that day instead you might just stare out towards the horizon and be with the sunrise.

A lot of individuals report they start staring off into the distance taking a look at the delicate shapes within the mountains. Or at the small detail within the leaves. Or simply get in tune with all of the subtle rhythms of nature.

For some participants they report that it feels that the separation in between them and nature simply dissolves. This is exactly what it indicates to become at 1 with nature.

The very first time I had this encounter was when I was in my early twenties. I was out camping and hadn't seen anybody for about 2 weeks and was walking along a beach. I bent right down to life up some sand and looked at all the individual grains of sand around the tip of my finger. Some had been orange. Others black. Some white. Other grains yellow.

But then I looked up and noticed a lizard sunning itself underneath a tree. All of a sudden it felt like I had turned into the lizard and I could feel what it had been like to have my metabolism get quicker with the warmth of the sun.

However at the same time there was an eagle soaring above and I could really feel what it was like to feel the wind pass beneath my wings.

And simultaneously I noticed a fish within the waves and I could really feel what it was to have water pass through out my gills and be pushed about using the power with the water. It had been like I was everything all simultaneously.

To me, this is the encounter of becoming at 1 with nature.

The first couple of times it occurs might feel a bit strange nevertheless I remember telling 1 of my friends about this and just how all-natural it felt to not be separated from nature.
