Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

The Holy Places for Christians in Israel

By Amy Lipard

Once going abroad was almost a semi-expedition, you had to make all the arrangements month before. Today you decide you want to hop to a remote place and you are there. Traveling from one country to another is really nor big of a deal anymore; however, still very exciting. People find any opportunity to go on vacation and explore new places. Whether you are a college student, or whether you have a family, when you have the time and money, the top priority is to travel. Israel, although negative media attention, is a country that draw heterogeneous population from spirituality seekers, to Jews who come to explore their heritage, to young people who want to enjoy edgy Tel Aviv etc. It is a really small country; it will take you only a few days to cross the country from one point to another and get to see all the great staff in between.

Israel is a center of attraction to pilgrims and Christian believers as many historic moments occurred there. Jerusalem is scared for the three main religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Traveling to Israel is not just another trip, if one is looking to enhance his/her spirituality, a life changing experience is waiting for them. Joining a Christian group tour to Israel will expose you to all the places and events you read in the bible: the places were Jesus birth took place, the place were he grew up, the place were he fed his followers and the place were he was crucified. Below are the main places to visit when joining this thematic tour.

Nazareth: This city is one of the most scarred places for Christians since as we all know Jesus grew up here and became a leader for many followers. You will visit the church of Annunciation as well as Joseph, Jesus father carpentry workshop. Also, you will visit the old synagogue of the city.

Jerusalem: In this tour you will explore Jerusalem and reveal other aspects of the city, aspects you do not hear on the news. The capital of Israel is very complicated and entangled in political conflicts but also spiritual and unforgettable. In you visit you will visit the holy places, walk through the Via Dolorosa in the Christian quarter and continue to the church of Sepulture. Another main site for the Christian believers is the place where Jesus was crucified. But apart from the holy places, you will stroll around the markets and the beautiful places of the city.

Kinneret Lake (the Sea of Galilee) - the lake where Jesus walked upon the water, is considered a holy place for Christian believers. Near By, there are two churches: one is known to be the place where Jesus fed 5000 of his followers and the other one is known to be the spot where Jesus called Peter to be an apostle.
