Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

By Anne Durrell

Bipolar medication is needed on a frequently basis and is generally part of a lifelong therapy of the disorder. Medication is the best chance for keeping symptoms at bay since there is no cure for bipolar.

Bipolar Medication is important

A person with the disorder can be helped by bipolar medication to elevate symptoms so they can live a normal life. To provide an overall therapy of the disorder, medication is usually combined with therapy.

When the disorder stops taking their medicine, it will be likely that symptoms will return quickly. Therefore, that people with disorder should never go off their med without talking with their doctor.

The types of Medication Used

Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder. It is characterized by the mood swings from extreme highs to extreme lows. The most common medication used it Lithium.

Occasionally, anti seizures and anti depressants medications are used, but generally, though, moos stabilizers are the very first thing and tried before other therapy.

It can take as long as two weeks for the mood stabilizing med to start working. So that it is very important for doctor to explain that the medication may take some time to work.

Lithium

Since lithium is the most commonly used drug, and the oldest drug used, there is a lot known about how it works. It is generally very safe and any issues with the medication are caught quickly.

The common side effects from lithium include:

* Weariness

* Bad Diarrhea

* Nausea

* Frequent urination

* Shivers

* Weight gain

The bipolar medication used will be chosen based on the individual patient. In some people bipolar does not cause major mood swings, but rather the episodes are severe.

In those people, the depressive attacks are generally most serious and that is when a patient would be treated with an anti depressant. Occasionally, though, a doctor will check the patient's mood changes to determine what the best bipolar med for them would be.
