Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

The Incredible Power Of The Mind

By John H Wood

The power of the human mind is undisputed; it goes back to the teachings of Aristotle, and is one of the fundamental images of humanity; the person with the plan solving the problem, getting play in myths from Theseus to Batman. It's also a power you can harness to create the life you want.

Touching on this is the power of The Secret. Millions have bought the book, more than that have watched the movie, and by now, the Internet is flooded with people trying to get you to believe in the Law of Attraction, which is that principle laid bare. Whatever you think about in your attitudes will manifest itself in your life, and that includes what happens when you aren't paying attention to your attitude, too. It works whether you want it to or not.

In the medical world, this is known as the Placebo Effect; people who are told they're taking a medicine will get the benefits of that medicine even if they're given a sugar pill. This happens about 40% of the time and is something clinical trials have to correct for. Similarly, the adage of 'Mind Over Matter' holds some credence as well. This is how you've seen people think themselves sick, or think themselves well.

More proof, think about when you have gotten up in the morning thinking this was going to be a bad day, or 'one of those days.' Is it not remarkable that you will then have one of those days? It is not coincidence, if there is one thing that you should know by now everything happens for a reason. The reason is your mind.

Quantum mechanics talks about the 'observer effect' and how information in the system alters the outcomes. While the link between quantum mechanics and The Secret is tenuous, the same guiding principle applies to the Law of Attraction. Your ability to observe the universe alters it.

Some of the more fringe scientific studies are trying to link this observer effect to thinks like remote viewing, telepathy, and other 'supernatural' powers. An even greater extension is that everything we see, feel and hear; all of our sensory inputs, may well be something 'stitched together' into a narrative by our minds. On the extreme end, this leads to solipsism, the belief that nothing is real until you observe it, and the question of 'If a tree falls in the woods, and nobody's around, does it make any sound?'

And that opens up doors. Learning how to use the power of your mind can change your life, by giving you focus, by making a lot of your goals attainable. It's better to keep your mind open to opportunities, to let the Law of Attraction work for you, than to let negative impressions derail your life.

First you need to have a clear goal in mind. Make it a very clear goal, very precise. Don't just make the goal having a lot of money, give that money an amount. Once you have that in mind you need to direct every mental action towards achieving the goal. Most importantly that direction needs to be constant, not occasional. This is difficult when you consider the fact that in any given amount of time you have 30 different thoughts racing through your head.

Some people are aware of the power of their mind; they focus on tasks, they set goals, they make lists, and they follow through them. You can see them; they're the ones who always seem to have a plan and who always focus on what's around them. Everything they do is aimed at furthering that goal, and with their mind and will ruling their passions, they have a palpable air of success. This success isn't difficult to emulate; it's very simple. It just requires clarity of purpose and focus.

Touching back on the slogan of the United Negro College Fund, imagine the opportunities that can open to you if you spend the time to get a proper education. You want to get the degree that will open doors for you. You take the time to get into your employer's tuition reimbursement program and you work on your class work. You focus on walking down that aisle with a degree in hand. Everything becomes secondary to getting that education and opening those doors to future prosperity. This is an example of the Law of Attraction in action.

Then all of a sudden that dream house is for sale. Not only for sale, but you qualify for the mortgage. Even better the owners accept the offer you made, you close the deal and you are able to move into your new house in 30 days. Everything you had been doing, all of the energy, all of the thoughts were towards getting that house and you got it.

It's up to you to make your life. You can either sit passively by and let life happen to you, or you can grab it and direct it using the power of your mind. Work on small goals and build up to larger ones the same way small rocks can lead to a sturdy platform to see the world from. Don't let anyone or anything stand in the way of the power of your mind with the Law of Attraction.
