Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

How to Beat Depression

By Minnisha DeGrate

Approaching the task of getting your life back on track, can be pretty tough without guidance or an action plan. This article was written to be a guide for individuals who are striving to get their lives back on track, and prepare for achieving their highest goals and life-long dreams. Everyone will get off track or lose focus of their desired achievements at sometime, but it is up to you to take action and gain focus again.

First and foremost, you have to make sure that every goal you set is of VITAL importance to you. This can be tricky because we so often fool ourselves into thinking we want one thing when we want something entirely different. A negative attitude will not only make you miserable, but everyone around you too!

In order to escape her negative emotions, a girl may focus intensely on her physical appearance. Thus, by eating in small proportions or by hardly eating at all, a girl can create a distraction for herself --- which then serves as a means of avoiding negative emotions. Somehow, she feels the need to narrow down her focus to something that's concrete. Another factor that leads to eating disorders like bulimia would be depression. Some girls can experience depression in school, where bullying is at its peak, and when everybody should look better than others. This is all a part of understanding how to battle depression.

At this point, girls can see and feel depressed whenever they see popular girls with slim waists, and from there they could think of losing weight by means of purging, vomiting, and the like. Other girls get depressed when it comes to relationships, specifically romantic relationships. Of course, girls have the tendency to get jealous whenever her boyfriend looks at another attractive girl. This is normal, but for girls who have low self-esteem, this is pure punishment. They will eventually have thoughts that they are not as good-looking as the other girl, maybe because of her weight. This can possibly get the girl into hazardous eating habits, which can lead to having anorexia or bulimia.

The truth about depression is that it starts in your mind and a few strengthening your mind you will be more equipped to effectively battle depression. Some people don't recognize it as an actual illness but myself and anyone else who has battled with this thing know that it is very real. Medication is not enough and learning more about what you can do to maintain your mental health, will only empower you.

As more and more people, nowadays, experience having problems with regards to their anxieties and depression, a better understanding of these concepts from a Freudian perspective can actually help in resolving it. According to Freud, resolution can only be achieved when a person is made aware of those experiences or ideas in the unconscious and therapy be directed to the root of the problems which are most likely rooted in the unconscious.
