Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Symbolism

By Steve Chung

Chinese tattoos hold a strange kind of fascination for people and in spite of their ancient origin they are still extremely popular. The beauty of these tattoos has recently been discovered by the western world and they are very much in demand though they are not aware of the meaning of these tattoos.

The exotic Chinese tattoos are so pleasant that people fancy them without being aware of what they mean. The western television media has popularized the Chinese tattoos to such an extent that the young people there get the tattoos done permanently on their body without bothering about their meaning.

You should take care before you get a Chinese symbol stamped on your body without realizing its meaning just for its aesthetic value. Anybody who has an understanding of Chinese tattoo meaning could easily understand what you have on your body which may be quite inappropriate. In such a case it could be embarrassing when people may stare and laugh at you.

As an art form Chinese tattoos present an exotic and remarkable means of presenting it. It is so aesthetically presented that today it is claiming world wide fame though this form of expression have been around for centuries. Interestingly Chinese themselves do not put much value on tattooing as it is not considered to be respectable.

There is no doubt about the fact that the collection of tattoo symbols consists of some of the most incredible and profound symbols that represent many different things. With regards to the practice of tattooing, it was considered to be barbaric back in the old days of China.

You would be surprised to know that what today is considered to be the ultimate in fashion was shunned by the Chinese people in the ancient times. These vastly popular tattoo symbols were then used to stamp the body of the criminals so that they could be treated as outcasts.

People who are really interested in getting a Chinese tattoo and do not comprehend the meaning of existing symbols wish to get names, ideas and concepts from other languages translated to Chinese tattoos. This does not create much problem because most of what they wish to be translated is already existing in the Chinese tattoo symbols and as an art form it goes back to 4000 years in history.

Every idea is translated into a symbol of Chinese language which is extremely artistic. This is a scientifically developed art which consists of 70, 000 concepts and you will probably run out of ideas to translate concepts into Chinese symbol for tattooing purpose or otherwise. Thus you can be sure that any idea from any language can be successfully translated to Chinese symbol and still look equally pleasing.

It is significant to mention that what we know as Kanji script may look very similar to Chinese tattoo symbol is actually quite different. Though originating in China, Kanji was adopted and modified by Japanese. So if any symbol appears to be similar to Kanji may have a totally different meaning in Chinese.
