Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

What Is The Best Way To Find Inner Peace?

By Daniel M. Dreifus

What is the best way to find inner peace? This is a tremendously important question for it impacts everything you do in your life, from work, to relationships, to financial station, and to your family. When you increase your inner peace, you increase your enjoyment and appreciation of each of these areas. Without it, everything suffers because you are in constant inner turmoil.

Just by asking the question about inner peace you are looking in the right place. Much of the history of man has been devoted to conquest and investigation of the outer world, but to find peace you need to look inside yourself.

How in the world do you look inside yourself? If you close your eyes, you can't see anything! Of course, you can be aware of your feelings, but inner vision requires a special technique. Our thought tends to follow what we are seeing. That's why it is said a picture is worth a thousand words, and so much advertising is done with images. Even on radio, the announcer is attempting to create an image with words.

The normal pattern of the eyes is to jump from one object to another. It is rare that you will simply gaze fixedly at a single point. It is also common for your thoughts to jump around a lot. It takes practice to concentrate on a single object. Here's a secret. Things that are of interest to you tend to hold your attention, but the reverse is also true. If you focus your attention on something, and keep it there for a while, you begin to notice interesting things about it.

It has been known for thousands of years that when you close your eyes and focus upward and inward to the third eye point in the center of the forehead, you can begin to gain insights about your true identity and the nature of being. This area tends to develop your intuition and a very interesting thing happens when you first try it, if you are doing it right. You notice that the person looking in is the same person as the one looking out.

You are unusual if you have not had conversations with yourself. You may not say "Hi self, how's it going" but you may think "I need to pick up some groceries on the way home." Isn't it interesting that there appears to be two distinct entities within your own mind? By gently directing your attention inward and upward to your 3rd eye point, you can begin to unravel the illusion.

You have two separate ways of using your consciousness. The first is in accomplishing tasks in order, one by one. The second is in being aware of the wholeness of the moment instead of planning your next move. You can learn to develop and savor the experience of being present and at ease in sublime peace.

"What is inner peace?" is answered when you experience the wholeness of life without preconditions or expectations in a way that becomes an increasingly significant to you.
