Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

How Does One Price A Granite Memorial

By Duane Kuss

The various decisions to be made when planning, choosing and making a memorial for your beloved one can be like walking down a country pathl for the first time. Their recollections or story can help you in making the creative decisions that will contribute to the final design of your hand made natural granite stone monument.

3 Factors That Control The Price Of Your Headstone

The story of your loved one can be voiced in the color of their memorial, its size, its shape, its finish, and even in the lettering or the graphical design you choose . Your aim is to think on the things which best represented their life and the celebrated moments they shared with you.

There are 3 major considerations to the look of a memorial that most influence its cost. The first is the colour of material that you choose. The second's the granite size or the size of the memorial and the third is how that stone is formed and finished. 1 colour, 2 size and 3 shape or finish of the stone

1 Colour

Granities come in all sorts of colors. There's black granite, white grantie, blue granite and red granite. Granite comes in nearly every colour of the rainbow. These granite colors are a lot of times completely unique to certain bits of the world. For that reason there are inexpensive granites to very expensive depending on their geographical location and their availability. Colour is the single biggest factor in changing price of your gravestone or pet memorial.

2 Size

The second pricing factor is the size of your memorial. Obviously if you've got a larger memorial, the bigger the size the more pricey it's going to be. But size is less an element than color. As an example if you double the size of your monument, rather than double the cost the price would instead only rise about 60 %. So that you can get more bang for your buck by increasing the size of your headstone or tombstone.

3 Shape and Finish

The 3rd factor in the price of your memorial is how much craftsmanship or cost there is in shaping the stone. Simple shapes cost a bit less than more challenging shapes. The more craftsmanship you have into a product or the more complicated the design and shaping of the stone that is required, can seriously affect the final cost of the monument. Shape and finish can simply move from the least expensive element of your memorial to the most costly dependent on the final design you select.

Dependent on the combination of color, shape and size/finish you choose, your memorial can vary widely from hundreds of bucks to thousands of greenbacks all controlled by each of the 3 selections you make in your legacy stone creative process.
