Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Distinction and Significance of Gita

By Vijay Gopinath

It is believed by many learned men that Gita is important to the spirit of Hinduism. The message from higher spirit that is contained in it deserves recognition as it conveys the route through which life can be led in the right way.

Gita includes several illustrations which communicate the complex message in a way that is clear to even laymen. The life related wisdom contained in the Gita directs every human being towards attaining salvation by stanchly sticking to their moral duties.

The Gita is contained in the classical story of Mahabharata that forms the best location for this priceless scripture.

People have faith that Shri Krishna, a Hindu God had divulged this knowledge regarding the obligatory responsibilities of all humans for the advantage of Arjun, his dedicated follower. Arjuna and his brothers' kingdom was stolen by their immoral cousins using unfair means, and Krishna imparted the divine message of Gita to give Arjuna the willpower to stand up and fight against his own blood relations.

The knowledge contained in the Gita is not time bound and is applicable to all aspects of life and details the karma doctrine of attaining the Almighty. It urges every human being to put all his might and willpower in adhering to his duties.

Concurrently, the person is required to stop thinking about the outcomes of his actions. This alone will help him succeed in maintaining a composed state of mind in face of adversity and keep him unchanged in times of overabundance. The strict adherence to his obligations will guide him on the road leading to almighty.

The Gita is a factual guide on how one must live in order to be happy and at peace with life. If the person adheres to the message in that sacred work, then he will confront all happy and sad times without any change or disturbance. The Gita is a lifesaver for several people globally and just as it guided Arjun when faced with the duty of taking arms against his blood relations; it helps them in dealing with despair, sadness, fury and envy.
