Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Characteristics To Bear In Mind When Looking For A Great Church

By July Utley

It's a recognized fact that each and every church differs, including the churches in Lexington KY. You frequently wonder as well as find it fascinating how individuals select the church they would like to involve themselves in. Many people take into account it great when individuals worship joyfully and every one of them are united from the members of the congregation to the pastoral team.

There are actually churches where one can see pastors only at the pulpit and disappear soon after the service. Members of the congregation cannot have the possibility to meet them and even get to know them better. Visitors can't talk to them simply for a short time and when setting up an appointment for a short meeting or perhaps an exchange of a couple of words, a secretary is frequently the one who answers the call and never returned. You can quickly take a look at some attributes of a church you want to join.

1. Spirit-filled churches can be observed in the joy expressed by the faces of the people in the congregation. Reality can't be faked hence you can say that the joyful greetings thrown at everyone are genuine that even unbelievers can sense it. This can be felt as they gather around spending time talking and enjoying each other's company together and caring for each other during the fellowships, home calls, and Sunday services. These healthy times are seen while praying together, laughing or crying, during the times of worship and singing, helping, suggesting, planning, rebuking if needed, and when praising.

2. The spirituality of the church just like the churches in Lexington KY; can be seen in the reverence the congregation offers to the starting times of the church service along with the discipline they offer to the quietness of the sanctuary. Being late or being hectic is not an excuse and members should recognize that the sanctuary is a sanctified place where we meet out Almighty God.

3. A good church features a congregation who loves to worship and praise through their singing. Congregational songs are sung appropriate for the worship services every Sunday, music that is well-prepared and comes from the heart. There are churches where music is often new that most of the members can't join in the congregational singing. Good churches like the churches in Lexington KY; must allow the visitors and the congregation to join in a chorus of praise and worship.

4. A church is considered healthy when there is an affectionate bond between the pastor and the members of the congregation which can be seen visibly. There is an expression of their humbleness and genuineness which cannot be faked.

There's no specific church that's perfect. The folks making it up, from the pastor to all the members; should show maturity, responsibility, and appreciation that are the liked by lots of people choosing the type of flexibility in churches that they wish to join in.
