Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

By Samantha J. Buendia

God presented his Holy word as guideline for individuals to get by life and trust on Him. Do you trust God as the source of energy today? I encourage you to definitely be empowered with the Word of God and lean on God to your source of strength. Put your trust with God and submit to His mighty and strong ways. Check out this set of four excellent Bible quotes on the topic of strength.

4 Strength Bible Quotes

#1 David Showing Strength 1 Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

David continuously followed God and trusted in Him. The trust in which David showed came out by as God's power permitted David to succeed in many areas of his life. See the verses above declare that David found strength himself but God was the supply of every strength in which David acquired. All glory and glory for any works in which David did should therefore go to God because it was God that strengthened David to do exactly what he did.

#2 Peter Showing Great Strength 1 Peter 4:11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies-in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Peter recognizes on this passage that it was God that provided his power. Peter was one of the earlier disciples that helped in order to spread the word of God and also story of Jesus to many people. This individual had been instrumental in scattering the Gospel however, he also mentioned that it was not his doing but God's strength that allowed him to accomplish this.

# 3 Abraham Showing Strength Genesis 22:1-3 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I." He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.

Abraham had good faith. His faith in God was terrific which he was ready to obey God and give up his long anticipated son Isaac. The religious beliefs he showed made him strong. His strength though did not come from his doing but coming from God's alone. Though it may be the task of Christians to possess faith, it is actually God that gives His mighty power over the faith we all show.

#4 Joshua Shows Strength Joshua 1:9-11 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." And Joshua commanded the officers of the people "Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, 'Prepare your provisions, for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.'"

Joshua advised his individuals to be strong and brave. Soon after this he provided the source of how to become strong. Joshua claims that the Lord your God is with you/is with all of us. God is definitely the source of becoming strong. Joshua understood that any kind of courage and power was going to must come from God and God only.
