Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Youth Ministry And Christianity Today

By Trent Gellar

No matter a persons denomination most churches have some sort of youth ministry arranged. About six millenniums ago when Adam and Eve were created the word of God began to spread over the lands. In the world today religion has so many ways to worship that involving the children only made sense. Now there are younger congregation sections of most religions as well as the churches that people attend.

When it comes to teaching the word to children and young adults there is a need for it to be in a language that is easy to comprehend for them. The early years of church lay the knowledge that will make their faith strong. This type of class or service is full of activities that will hold the younger peoples attention making it fun to learn and understand religion.

There are educational expansions in the ministry vocation. It was once thought in Christianity that in order to become a priest, nun or any leader in the church that youth ministry was a necessity. Now days the direction of this program makes it almost its own vocation. The majority of all who feel the need to serve God refers to it as answering the call of God.

In most churches today the children are separated from the adults while the leader of the church delivers the sermon. This is where the youth ministry came into play and started a congregation for the young. When the younger generation has a place that is suited to their age, to learn about God, it makes the foundation of their faith even stronger.

All families involved in the church wants their children to be taught about the Bible. This type of involvement for the child will enhance what is learned at home. Making them strong adults for Christ.

All leaders of all faiths have eyes on them for guidance. Eventually over time the children of the church will become the leaders and teachers which is the back bone for keeping a church alive. The youth ministry in reality is the solid foundation, out side of the home, that keeps faith going strong.
