Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Suggestions For Christian Youth Group Activities

By Samuel Satterberg

Young individuals today do well to participate in structured events that teach them about responsibility and morals. Indeed, many Christian parishes and churches make available Christian youth group activities that provide entertainment, yet also teaches them how to be upstanding and honorable people in modern society. Additionally, they learn how to care for and to take care of needy people in their cities.

The game Truth or Dare proves to be a popular activity for such groups to play. The game prompts members to carefully think about their actions before they decide whether to undertake a dare or to reveal a truth. Most leaders adapt the game to target the goal of teaching morals and responsibility.

Indeed, game players will be required to tell a truth about themselves, including perhaps what their ethic inclinations are, with the other option being to undertake a dare of some sort.

Going camping or hiking together encourages the kids to get to know each other and develop friendships with one another. Other outdoor recreation might also include horseback riding or roller skating. Being active together brings them in close contact with other members and helps them depend on each other and gain each other's trust.

Generating funds for their club gives the teens and preteens a chance to work together to raise money for all of them. Ideas for fund raising include hosting bake sales, car washes, or family trivia nights at their church or parish. The money could then go to pay for mission trips or other events in which they desire to participate.

Aiding other charities additionally encourages the teenagers to partake in Christian youth group activities together while at the same time learning to value assisting those in need in their community. Organizations that frequently need additional support include those that provide relief to seniors, the disabled, or disadvantaged children. They could also benefit from serving dinner at a local homeless shelter and learn how to empathize with those in need.
