Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Four Different Mental States Binaural Beats Can Help You Achieve

By Dan Murphy

You may know that utilizing binaural beats lets you to achieve various states of mind. This is achieved by "tuning" your brain into various frequencies. Once your mind is focused on these various frequencies, it is easier to obtain the state you are looking for such as relaxation, positive thinking, increasing your memory, better focus, and more.

Over the last 150 years, scientists have found that various frequencies can be associated with various states of mind. For an example, a frequency of 1 to 3 Hz (Hertz, or changes per minute) may be associated with deeper sleep. Binaural beats allow you to listen to a certain frequency to allow you to achieve different states of mind. And in today's world (versus 150 years ago), it's easier to change your brainwave frequencies with just a CD or MP3 player and headphones.

To get your brain to tune into a specific frequency, slightly different sounds can be delivered to each ear. In the case of binaural beats (there are also other beats called isochronic and monaural beats, but we'll use binaural for the discussion here), a tone is played in in each ear. One tone may be 100 Hz, the other may be played at 108 Hz. This creates a binaural "beat" with the same frequency as the difference of the two (8 Hz). In this case, 8 Hz matches with the theta state of mind which is useful for for creating ideas.

The frequencies which the binaural beats can focus on are referred to as theta, beta, alpha and delta states. These four categories each target different frequencies and thus different states of mind. There is a chance you have heard of these states previously, and these are commonly referenced when discussing binaural beats.

The first category is the beta frequencies. This is the range from 13 Hz to 25 Hz. This range is used to obtain a state of alertness, and reduce anxiety and stress.

The second frequency range would be the alpha frequencies. The alpha frequencies are from 8 to 12 Hz. When the binaural beat is delivered in this range, it assists in "superlearning," positive thinking, and also a state of light relaxation.

From 4 to 7 Hz, you can experience benefits that include deeper relaxation (which is great for meditating), improving your memory, focus, and more. This is the theta range.

Delta frequencies occur at less than 4 Hz. Deep, dreamless sleep, an increase in immune functions, lucid dreaming and losing awareness of your body can occur in this range.

As you can see, using binaural beats in the various ranges can trigger a huge array of mental states, resulting in a multitude of benefits for those who give them a try.
