Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Church Marketing Helping You Grow Your Followers

By Courtney Rolds

Just like anything else, a church wants to grow and there are many different ways they can accomplish this. Most people do not think much about church marketing tips, but there are several things this organization can do to grow their congregation, with little out of pocket expense.

Keeping in touch is very important these days, and what better way than a newsletter. By starting one and providing great content, you will bring more people into your congregation. The newsletter should highlight coming events along with information they can use everyday in their lives. Posting it online is also a good idea, as this will give access to a wider audience and a chance to draw even more people in.

For the longest time direct mail was the choice to bring more people into anything. With the Internet that has changed a little bit. Direct mail though still works and should be used. By getting a mailing list of prospective people, you can sell them on what you have to offer. Do this on a consistent basis and you will see much more success.

Attend local events and set up a booth. Almost every city has local trade fairs and craft fairs where you can set up a both telling about your organization and what they have to offer. By getting out in public more you will be able to tell and show people what you are all about.

Another great way to market is to sponsor a variety of events. When people see your name, they will inquire more about what you are doing in the community. As they do this you will be able to show and tell them what you are all about.

More people are learning that church marketing is very important these days. No longer can you count on people finding you on their own. By being proactive, you will have a great chance to grow your congregation.
