Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

The Way Hindu Religion Began And Lessons Of Hinduism

By Prabhu Krishna

Various research reports have been written to know the beginning of Hinduism. The followers of Hinduism believe that Hindu religion has no beginning or end and has been eternally around.

But, the historians claim that Hindu religion dates back to over 5000 years. This theory states that the earlier followers of this religion had settlements along the banks of the Indus River area. In that era, this river was called Sindhu. After the migration of Persians to the river sides, they began to call it Hindu and that is the origin of the name of the religion. The practitioners of the faith were called Hindus and the religion came to be known as Hinduism. This discourse is called as Aryan Theory in well known parlance.

One more theory about the beginning of Hinduism proposes that the religion started around 2000 BC. The starters of the religion were the Aryans who took over the region around Indus River and the Indus Valley. But the facts show that this hypothesis is erroneous and is regarded as completely hypothetical in nature.

The history of the religion can be divided into three phases - the ancient era which was from 6500 BC to 1000 AD, the medieval era which was from 1000 AD to 1800 AD and the current period which began in 1800 AD and continues till today.

Astonishingly, there is no mention about the start of this religion in even one of the religious books. In fact, most of the teachings talk about how to lead life in the present without dwelling on the past. The religion focuses on the right way of living life and does not claim to be a religion with a beginning or end.

Although the present world tries to find the origin of Hinduism, those who follow this religion do not feel the desire to comprehend how it began. They believe in the practice of righteous living and adhering to the tenets of Hinduism to live a good life leading to the ultimate God.
