Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Understanding The 7 Chakra

By Indari Dahl

The term Chakra has its roots in the ancient Sanskrit word Chakram, which literally means 'wheel' and refers to the seven wheel like energy centers in a human body. Thus, these are whorls of energy located in the subtle body of an individual where reception and transmission of energies take place. It can be said that the state of each of the 7 chakra correlates to major nerve ganglia originating from our spinal cords and reflects the physical health and the psychological, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of a person.

Have you ever taken notice of the sensation or strong feeling from within while watching a close friend's marriage, or while hearing your country's national anthem, watching your country win a gold medal? This is the working of your group force, your group identity and comes from the Base or Root Chakra known as the Muladhar Chakra. The Base of the 7 Chakras, it is located at the last bone in the spinal cord, between the genitals and the anus and is all about your instincts, survival and identity.

Second in line in the 7 chakras, lie the Swadhisthana Chakra symbolized by an orange lotus with 6 petals. Located in the sacrum and above the Muladhar Chakra, it is physically linked to the human reproduction system but more importantly it is all about relationship and partnerships. Becoming active around age 7, the key issues of this chakra are the aspects of the basic emotional needs of man, his pleasures and his choice making abilities.

The third of the 7 chakra is the Manipura Chakra symbolized by a yellow lotus with 10 petals. After the group power and power of self and others given by the previous two chakras, the Manipura Chakra is all about power of self. That is, it stands for one's personal power, his personality, individuality, self esteem and self respect and becomes distinct since the time of puberty in man. Located in the pancreas region of the body, it is physically linked to the entire metabolism and digestive system of man.

The fourth of the 7 chakra is the Anahata Chakra located at the centre of the chakra system and being the center power house of the same. Symbolized by a green lotus with 12 petals, it is where the body meets the spirit and earth meets heaven. Seat to complex emotions towards spirituality it is all about unconditional love, trust, hope, inspiration and the like. Needless to say that it is located near the heart and thus is physically related to it and the entire immune system of man.

The fifth of the 7 chakra is that of Vishuddha or the power of will. A pale blue or turquoise lotus with 16 petals, it is located in the throat region beside the thyroid gland and stands for growth, self expression, communication and maturation.

The sixth of the 7 chakra is symbolized by a white or indigo lotus with two petals which is known as the third eye chakra located at the eyebrow region in the forehead. Physically related to the pineal gland which governs the cycles of sleep and wakefulness, this sixth chakra subtly is the controller of one's mind power, inner psyche and conscious and sub conscious realms of our psychological forces. Known as the Wisdom Chakra the key issues here are the separation of truth from illusion where detachment from subjective perceptions occur for progression towards opening up the one's conscious towards the ultimate truth.

The seventh or the top most of the 7 chakras is the violet thousand petalled lotus of the Sahasrara Chakra. This spiritually enlightened chakra stands for the release of karma and realization of the full potential of man through meditation. It is through this Chakra that an individual gains knowledge about the ultimate and final universal truth and realizes the immortality and omnipotence of his soul enjoying divine joy and lasting peace.
