Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

The Greatness Of Poetry And How Different Poems Can Help You Handle The Death Of A Loved One

By Jeannie Rawlings

A demise of a loved one is always a great challenge. You were together for months, years, even decades just chatting and relaxing, having a good time. When the appointed time comes, tears flow. It is difficult, and trying.

It is only that life must go on. No matter how difficult this thing may be, life must continue. The reason is because life must go on, it cannot be stopped. It just continues.

Poetry might not realize any miracles, but it does wonders in calming a person. Whether it is the written type or the one you read, the idea that you will retain the memories of your loved one is good, even though you will have to battle with the same memories.

Writing odes of grief is a wonderful way of expressing your feelings. It is almost like keeping a diary, only that poetry enables you to express yourself in far greater ways; because more writing styles are at your disposal without sounding out of character. One can employ alliteration and rhymes.

The poem should not be necessarily a sad one, it can be of remembrance. The poem can even be of one of the numerous happy times you enjoyed together. It could be about the beautiful qualities a person had; their character and how you loved them.

The importance of writing these poems is just to express yourself. It is about writing your thoughts and feelings of what had transpired.

The best thing about remembrance poems, however, is that you can be able to go back to the poem whenever you feel like recollecting the person's love and it helps you to reconnect and even be comforted again.

If you are not the type who writes poetry, there are always some good sympathy poems which will do just as well to comfort you during the days of grief. You would be able to read how others had dealt with the same feelings and this will help you to come back to yourself, be collected and go on with life.

Poetry can do much to deal with emotions. Whether written or simply read, poetry can do much to restore calmness and sooth sorrow. It is the best thing when a person is looking for some comfort.
