Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Considerations To Keep In Mind If You Wish To Become Organized

By Larry Johnson

Not many people are aware that an average person can lose an hour each day through being disorganized. These hours in financial equation can be huge enough to impact negatively on the future growth of the business. Avoid any further losses to make you a statistic in business, get an organized work area.

#1 - Keep everything at arm's reach: All the things you need in the office to do your daily chores like the computer, the notepad, the filing cabinet, the printer and all else must be at a reasonably easy reach from where your desk is. Note that each time you rise up to go get one item or the other, will result in wastage of time and distraction.

#2 - Get a U-shaped workstation: It is the place where everything will be arranged around the U-shaped work area which accords you much space and most things you need are in your view and easy reach.

It gets better if you can afford a rotating chair which will swivel you to reach things easily instead of you standing to reach out or strain your back and neck to get to things. Of course this will improve your comfort and productivity.

#3 - Review the floor plans of your office: Take time to map out how you position things in your office such that repositioning of such items as the desk which can be put close to the power outlets or at a strategic position with a full view of the whole office or even at a place which is more quiet. Your needs should dictate where the best layout should be.

#4 - Do away with the clutter: The office can accumulate some clutter in form of paperwork and other such office items, so it is wise to remove them from the work area so as to clear the way and create more space for greater productivity. Do this each morning as you take your cup of coffee and while planning the day's work.

This way your office will look more organized and you will enjoy working there plus it will be easier to move around and do things.

Please do this every morning and you will enjoy your work each day without having to rush out of the office for any reason at all.

Searching For Answers To Some Questions Concerning The Law

By James Murch

The definition of law is not something to easily come by, because a lot of groups of people have varied perception on what law is and what the legal institution should be. This has really made every definition un-sacrosanct and highly subjection. Though un-sacrosanct, we can refer to law as the rules and regulations that societies tide on. The rules and regulations, the agents and agency that ensure the law can also refer to the legal system.

As the world keeps changing, with many people acquiring deep knowledge and understanding of situations around us, many are those who think there is something wrong with the very foundation of law. Some also wonder if it is still important to keep some aspect of the law.

It is now very important to ask certain question that confronts us, Why must the law that protect lives also give acceptance to kill people who have committed crime. Must the law again accept that people take their own lives? Must it necessary restrict grown persons in their marriage life especially as to who to marry?

These are questions which keep knocking on the doors of overseers of the law for answers. But one can appreciate answers to these questions well if they know a little about Jurisprudence. Jurisprudence is simply about the mentality behind law and how is has developed through the generations.

Jurisprudence can be broken into two other headings, Normative and Analytical jurisprudence. Normative jurisprudence does a good work of talking the very structures on which the law survives. That is the things the law regards as right and wrong and why someone should suffer for the things the law regards as wrong.

Considering this, it becomes very difficult to answer some questions, For instance the reason why the law can give a human the permit to take the life of another person. Normative jurisprudence again looks at what the law must be and the logic in giving punishment.

Analytical jurisprudence also takes the burden of looking into the law and the legal system in its entirety. It concentrates on the how the law operates and the different areas the law entails. Analytical jurisprudence is more open and unrestricted in it study, and for that matter it deals with everything about law.

This does not give any look at the logic of the law but rather it focuses on the studying of the layout that has already been put in place.

More Thoughts On The Law Of Attraction

By Melanie Mitchell

"Law of Attraction", as an idea, was put forward by the philosophers of the New Thought. These philosophers were of the opinion that individuals have the ability to bring into their lives, things that they really want. If a person thinks about something a lot, they can try and get that thing into his or her life. But if we think about negative things or unwanted objects a bit too much, then chances are that even those will end up entering our lives.

Many critics and scientists do not believe in the Law of Attraction simply because this law, unlike other laws, cannot be proved scientifically. It cannot be put to test in a laboratory like the laws in physical sciences, or be tested statistically like the laws in the social sciences. Thus, they say that it should not be called a "law". However, there are a lot of people who believe in this law, simply because it affects the psyche, the mind; something that cannot be tested using the mundane, scientific processes.

The law of attraction is not really a concept that is brand new. It was there even a thousand years back. It is applicable, not only for things or objects, but even for the people in our lives. Our mind and attitudes automatically draw those people into our lives that are "like-minded" or share similar thoughts, beliefs and ideas.

We make friends with people we like. We like them because they have similarities with our own selves, our choices, and opinions. We attract people who are very much like ourselves. Even though there may be exceptions, the exceptions are not the rule here. This is all because of the law of attraction.

This law is not the only law of this kind. There are others as well. But this law can be extremely beneficial for those who truly want to bring about alterations in their lives. But this law needs to be believed in. doubt and disbelieve will simply lead to unwanted or wrong results.

Apart from figuring out how exactly the law works, we have to figure out what we exactly want from it, and we have to be fervent and ardent about our wishes. Unless we want something strongly enough, we will not be able to achieve it. Every individual has a lot of potential, and also the power to change many undesired aspects of their lives.

Many individuals feel that the law of attraction can be misused. People could use it to make themselves richer, or more powerful, simply by mastering it. But this is easier said than done. The law does not work for everyone, or just because somebody wants something. The important thing here is the feeling or the sentiment behind the desire. Wishes out jealousy or sheer impulsiveness will not come true. Desires that make us glad or happy are the ones that have chances of coming true. Thus clarity behind wanting what we want is important here.

We need to be sure that we really need that thing in our life, and we will benefit by it. And we also shouldn't have thoughts or beliefs that are conflicting, because in this way our wishes get cancelled. Thus to curb this problem, everyone needs to identify such thoughts, and then deal with them. Once the identification is done, half the job is done. Also, while trying to make the law of attraction work, we need to put away all kinds of negative thoughts and emotions. Such thoughts simply hinder and sabotage the process.

At the same time, simply believing in the law of attraction will not do. We have to have belief in ourselves. And most importantly, we must have belief in our beliefs. All our actions and reactions are, to a great extent, controlled by our beliefs. Our beliefs and values will determine our actions, and these actions of ours, will determine what we attract into our lives. Thus the law of attraction will work effectively only if we believe in ourselves and our abilities.

Reasons Why You Should Avoid Being A Workaholic

By Jacob Stewart

Are you one of those workaholics who want to get as far in their careers as possible no matter what the price or consequences? Are you one of those people to whom life has no meaning without work?

There is totally no mistake in having an ambitious drive towards success. If anything, all of us should have it. The only perk is that this ambition if let to go unchecked can be the whole reason for your love life's undoing.

By being a workaholic you can flush your love life down the drain and here are some reasons why.

1. Being absorbed in your work full time can only lead to one thing for your mind and body: fatigue. With a fatigued mind and body who even thinks of making a good impression even if they really do get to go out on a date?

2. Focusing only on work will make you miss out on a lot of the other good things that life has to offer. Even though you do manage to go out for an exciting date, your mind will always be on your work and you will not enjoy.

3. Some of the ingredients that go into having a healthy relationship are commitment and attention. If all of your commitment and attention is going into your work then guess who suffers, your partner who is not getting any of these two things.

4. Spending quality time together that you can enjoy is the main idea of being in a relationship. Without this, you will only grow away from each other as you put all your time into work.

Balance your personal life and your work and you will have a much fuller success in life.

Unusual Gifts From The Pope's Visit

By Tom Doerr

When Blair was still an Anglican but took communion in a Catholic church, the then archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Basil Hume, wrote him a letter of reproach, saying that non-Catholics were forbidden to do so. Blair's response to it was to suggest that Jesus Christ at any rate would have approved of his action - a clear rejection of ecclesiastical authority. I still suspect him of being a bit of a protestant fifth columnist in the Catholic fold.

The event is surrounded by security, terror threats and controversy but what has been overlooked is the amount of people jumping on the bandwagon and capitalising on the visit with souvenirs and commemorative gifts. But as you would expect, there is a lot of junk on offer which has been designed to make a cheap buck out of all the pontiff's supporters. Street vendors are offering baseball caps for up to 20. And many are flogging pilgrims t-shirts with the option to customise with the name of their church.

Westminster Cathedral's gift shop is stocking specially made plates, photo's books and crosses for the event. But there are also very many bizarre souvenirs available including a 'popener' bottle opener, a Vatican city lighter and a remote control popemobile. Many gift shops are offering silicone bracelets similar to those of the 'livestrong' trend and catholic Swarovski jewellery. However the Catholic Church has rejected claims that the papal visit is being commercialised.

The Pope has come under fire from activists and a potential terrorist plot was uncovered in which 5 men were arrested in London. There has also been much controversy surrounding the Popes address of the issue of child abuse amongst the catholic clergy. The ex-Hitler youth has also likened atheists to Nazis, a comment which has caused a riot in a society gradually moving away from religion.

There are four photographs on the shortlist for the National Portrait Gallery's annual photographic prize which were reproduced, one of them only in part, in yesterday's Guardian. The one of which only a woman's face and top half were shown omitted a part showing her genitals, and the three other entries were of two drug-addicted twins, one obese young woman, and a 14-year-old American girl riding back in triumph from a hunting expedition with a dead deer flung over her horse. Do photographs have to be disturbing, or feature controversial themes, for them to qualify for awards? It never used to be so.
