Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Who Is A Funeral Director And What He Does

By Alvin Cruise

to the actual handling of the body of the deceased.

The prime duties of a funeral director can be categorised into four broad heads, which are transporting the dead body, preparing it for the funeral service, making arrangements for friends and relatives to assemble and pay their last respects to the departed and then the actual cremation or burial of the body according to the choice or beliefs of the family.

These responsibilities entail taking care of essential activities like deciding the place and timings of the memorial services, arranging for a car to transport the body, and preparing obituaries and placing them in print or the electronic media. Besides, funeral directors have to arrange flowers and have the decoration carried out for each ceremony, make provisions for conveyance for the assembled people and dress up the body for the ceremony after anointing it.

Other than these jobs, a funeral director also takes care of the critical paperwork that forms a part of the official formalities following a person's death. He helps the relatives in obtaining a death certificate. He is also entrusted with other tasks like helping the family with getting the insurance money and to take advantage of seniors' burial scheme. He can even arrange for the transfer of any annuities or pensions that the family is entitled to receive, and offers tips to the family on management of funeral costs.

He also has to associate with a lot of people and should coordinate with different people for effectively accomplishing his tasks. He has to interact with physicians, pastors, casket makers and flower sellers, all with equal ease.

Finally, it is essential for funeral directors to come forward and provide some comfort to the bereaved family on a personal level, in order to help them get over the loss of a loved one. Some funeral directors neglect this task, but it is an essential part of their service no doubt.

Why Is Chakra Meditation So Important?

By Gillian Tamzeen

Chakras are the focal points for universal energy which flows through us, whether we know it or not. Your chakras have a profound influence on your life whether this effect is good, such as when they are properly aligned for energy flow or whether this effect is for the worse, like when they are blocked, preventing the flow of energy or are out of alignment.

Chakra means energy in the Sanksrit language and the idea of chakras has been handed down from the Hindu religion. However, energy doesn't know or care about religion; it is a force of nature which passes through us all. The path with this energy takes through our bodies and into (or out of) our personal energy field is the chakras.

Chakras which are correctly aligned have a wealth of benefits for the mind, body and the spirit, which is why chakra meditation is such a good thing to learn. You will be able to perform chakra meditation if you know where your chakras are and what each chakra does.

The chakras are located in the important areas of the body like the head and the heart. The organs that surround the chakras are used to control the vortex and are directly impacted by that chakra. There are seven chakras.

The first chakra is the Root Chakra and it is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is related to the body and our individual ability to master our body. So your general health, constitution and security are all tied to the Root Chakra. This is also the chakra that helps us realize how we are connected to the world around us. The color for this chakra is red.

The second chakra is the Naval Chakra and it is founding the lower abdomen. This chakra is tied to the acts of giving and receiving as well as our physical feeling of love, sexuality, passion and pleasure. When you are experiencing feelings of harmony, selflessness, generosity and creativity you will feel it in this chakra. The color for the Naval Chakra is orange.

Next we have our Solar Plexus Chakra which is found just below our chest. This chakra is where our will and our sense of change or transformation is located. Our concentration and control of our own personal energies stem from this chakra. Self control and our discipline of our ego is also found here. The color for this chakra is yellow.

Your fourth chakra is the Heart Chakra, which can be found at the center of your chest. This chakra is representative of your feelings of compassion, love and understanding. Love which goes beyond the physical aspect is part of this chakra. Green is the color of this chakra.

The next chakra is the Throat Chakra which can be found in the throat between the chin and the top part of the sternum. This chakra is tied to our ability to communicate. This chakra helps us realize that kindness, honesty, wisdom, truth and knowledge can all be conveyed with thoughtful speech. The color of this chakra is sky blue.

The chakra that is located in our forehead above our eyes is the Brow Chakra. This is commonly referred to as the third eye. Our perception of insight, imagination, intuition and clairvoyance stem from this chakra. The ability to focus on your realization of your own soul is found in this chakra. Divine wisdom and peace of mind is also found here. The color for the Brow Chakra is indigo.

The seventh and final chakra is the Crown Chakra, located at the top of the head. This is the chakra which directly relates to the mind and spirit. The Crown Chakra is what allows us to examine our own consciousness and our place in the universe. The higher self is related to the Crown Chakra, whose color is violet.

If you know the function and the location of each of your chakras, you will be able to practice chakra meditation more effectively. You can use meditations which work on individual chakras, or ones which align them as a whole.

Funeral Traditions And Rituals

By Willie James

There are many rituals and traditions that govern funerals throughout the world. It is at the funerals that the near and dear ones finally accept the fate and pay their respects to the deceased's soul.

Christian funerals adhere to the rules of the Church. However, as there are over 200 different communities of Christians, there are many differences in the way the funeral services are conducted by each community.

An important ritual of a Christian funeral, known as wake, is the first and foremost ritual that is carried out before the actual funeral and involves a nightly watch over the deceased and recital of prayers for the eternal peace of his soul. In present days, this is the moment when relatives and close friends can pay their last respects to the deceased person. The deceased is preserved and placed either at the residence or inside a Church with only a particular number of visiting hours. In earlier days, the stage following the wake used to be that of absolution, where a cross was placed on the deceased's body and offertory, which held the gifts offered by visitors, and the person was absolved of the sins committed during his earthly tenure.

The following stage is the actual service itself in which the dead person is put into a hearse and taken to the Church, where the priests and others recite prayers and hymns from the Holy Bible. This is then succeeded by the clergy requesting one of the close friends or a family member to present a eulogy. Some of the Christian communities follow this by a custom of tolling of the bells, signifying the end of the service. Then the casket with the deceased's body is brought to the burial place for the last set of rituals, called the burial service which precedes the burying.

Finally, funeral traditions require a lunch gathering to be held after the burial is done. The main purpose of this tradition is to partake in the sorrow of the family and support them so that they can come to terms with the loss.

Essential Skills And Qualities Required For Undertakers

By Marjorie Wong

Arrangements and organising services related to funerals are usually taken care of by undertakers, who are also known as funeral directors. Given below are a few of the important skills and personal qualities that undertakers should possess to succeed in their profession.

Since an undertaker may be required at any time of day or night, the person venturing into this profession must be willing to be on call for 24 hours. This is essentially an outdoors task, which will need him to be away from office for long hours.

To be an undertaker, a person must be able to interact well and should accommodate the viewpoints of others. He must be able to handle and interact with people of all age groups and people having various social and ethnic backgrounds. Understanding and compassion will be of great importance as he performs his job. However, he must be emotionally strong and not get carried away by other people's grief, so that he can offer psychological support to them.

As an undertaker, a person should project a dignified and serene personality, while seeing that his behaviour doesn't intensify the sorrow of the bereaved family members and relatives.

By nature, undertakers should not be narrow minded. They should be ready to honour the faith and beliefs of all religions and should be knowledgeable in this area. They should be conscious of different customs and rituals followed by various groups during the funeral service.

Good management and the power to organize affairs are important skills for an undertaker. Many services will need to be organized by the undertaker and this will require good communication and managerial ability from the undertaker.

An undertaker must be proficient in legal matters and must know the legal formalities to be followed, or the formal approvals needed from the State authorities before conducting funeral ceremonies. He will need to be fully aware of rules to be followed for the purpose of obtaining death certificates or insurance payments.

Finally, he should necessarily be able to and be eligible to drive vehicles like hearses and limousines during the funeral service.

A Beginners Guide To Creating Abundance

By Derek Davies

There are lots of ways you can approach creating abundance in your life. Do you deserve to be happy? Of course you do! However, you may not know how to get the happiness you both want and deserve.

Think of yourself for a minute; do you think of yourself in positive ways, or do you think of yourself in negative ways? Creating abundance requires that you must absolutely know that you deserve the things you want.

How do you get abundance in your life? Take a few minutes out of your time right now just to focus on a couple of things you would like to have. Think of why you need those things and how you can get them. Do this every day for a few weeks. This will help you to become convinced that you need those things as well as the reasons why. Naturally, you will know that you deserve them because they will be the center of your focus.

It is important to be an ambitious and goal-oriented person when creating abundance. You must feel inspired to go after the things you want.

If you know that what you want is something you deserve, it will come to be yours in one way or another. It may not happen overnight, but because you are driven toward the passion for what you deserve, you will unconsciously obtain it.

If you're interested in creating abundance, focus on your thoughts and actions. Literally everything you ultimately create begins with a thought, and you have to transform those thoughts into action. However, this shouldn't feel like a job or like work.

People may never achieve their goals in life or get the things they want because they think they can't get them. They don't have faith in themselves, so they don't have the ability to make the things they want to happen actually occur.

How do you want your life to be? Focusing on material things is okay, but you also need to focus on your mental and emotional well-being. Think "peace." At the same time as you become more mentally and emotionally peaceful, become more determined and more ambitious, too. These qualities will give you the ability to keep pushing on until you get what you want, desire, and need. Know that you have no limitations except for those you set yourself. Creating abundance really is that easy.

You can prevent achieving your goals and building the life you want by listening to all of the negative things you hear. If you have negative people in your life, simply look over them or enlighten them with the concept of allowing happiness to flow freely.

Your mind is what determines all of your actions. If you are convinced that you will never be happy, own that big home, or nice car, then you will unconsciously do things that continue to prevent you from creating abundance.

However, if you think you deserve these things and you really want them, AND you know you can get them in one way or another, even if you're not sure just how yet, you'll find a way -- and best of all, it won't be hard.

Astral Project Yourself To Another Dimension

By John Pereira

We are all born with the ability to astral project. Practice is the only reason some astral project and some do not. It is an ancient art and has been practiced for centuries deserving the same respect as yoga or meditation. Astral projection is known by different names and types. There are many different techniques to achieve astral projection.

The first type of astral projecting that should be talked about is lucid dreaming. We all know what lucid dreaming is, it is when you are consciously dreaming. One form of this conscious dreaming is astral projecting. You can do this rather simply. What you need to do is when you are dreaming is realize that you are dreaming and say to yourself in the dream I am dreaming.

If you keep doing this, you will become conditioned to being aware when you are dreaming. It may be hard for a beginner to astral project with this random practice.

You need to accept the fact that astral projection will work. It is something that happens to everyone, you are just not aware of it. Have you awakened from a dream still fresh in your mind, which seems as though you really lived the experience? These dreams are an actual experience of astral projection.

It is very important to have confidence that you can astral project. This will ensure you have a better chance of being successful at having an astral projection experience.

Learning to relax and meditation is another helpful tool when learning to astral project. Your mind and body needs to be prepared to achieve astral projection. Meditation is a great preparation for the experience. Find a meditation you like and practice it.

A fairly simple meditative practice could be sitting in your favorite comfy chair, in a quiet place with no distractions. Once you are comfortable it is time to clear your head of anything and everything that is floating around in there. Do not focus on any stresses or troubles that are burdening you. The best way to do this is to focus on your breathing, your breathing should be deep and slow. With each breath you should see all the troubles in your head leaving you through your mouth. This will help you reach that deeply relaxed state that is needed to astral project.

The next step is to go into an altered conscious state. Keep focusing on your breathing, your problems are gone, your mind is blank. Breathe slow and deep, in through the nose and out the mouth, becoming more relaxed with each breath. It is time now to get your body relaxed as you breathe slower and deeper.

Focus on each part of the body, starting at the farthest points, your toes. You can do one of two things here. You can either tense and relax each part of your body as you move up the body or you can say as you exhale, My toes are relaxing, I am relaxing.

You are going to feel heaviness as each area of your body becomes relaxed. The tension will leave your muscles; your energy will slip away as each part of your body relaxes. You will be able to feel it when this happens. When this consumes your entire body, you are ready to move on to astral projection.

By now your mind and body are ready for sleep, you need to stay alert. To do this many practitioners recommend that you come up with a line that you can repeat to yourself such as I fly, I fly, I fly, you decide what you are going to say as there isnt a right or wrong thing.

An inactive mind gets bored easily; you may find yourself drifting into some random thoughts. Do not allow this to happen. If this does happen then you will need to start over. You need to keep repeating the phrase you select to keep your mind from wandering.

Now, there are a couple of methods that can be employed to reach altered consciousness. You can use your repetitive statement to reach the altered state of consciousness. You can also use the body of light method, which is where you envision a body of light that you are going to see yourself transform into.

When you begin to astral project three things will happen to let you know. You will have a feeling of movement. You will notice different colors and lights in front of you. Your eyes will be closed as you are still in your chair or bed. When you see the lights this is when you are passing into the astral zone. Voices will tell you to go on and encourage you or tell you to stop now as a warning. When you hear these voices, it means you have succeeded in astral projecting.

Remote Viewing - How Even A Complete Novice Can Get Started

By Vicki Porter

What is remote viewing? How do you know if you're doing it right? Remote viewing is the ability to see people, places and things with your mind's eye instead of with your five senses.

What is remote viewing? It's not synonymous with astral travel. When you experience astral travel, if your 'energy' body can leave your physical body and travel incorporeally so that you can see something 'up close and personal.' With remote viewing, how this is done is that you 'see' entirely with your mind, without ever leaving your physical location in any way.

How do you know whether or not you can learn remote viewing? Simply, because everyone can. How successful you are at it depends on whether you can relax into a trance state that is very similar to the awareness you experience when you're hypnotized.

It's long been established that we only use around 10% of our brain's capacity, but the other 90% remains dormant because it's been left untrained. If you'd been taught from childhood to speak four languages fluently, those neural pathways within your mind would accept this form of thinking as normal. The same applies with learning to count or to read words on a page or to add numbers together. These are skills your mind is taught while you're still very young and so they form part of your adult mind's power.

Now, think for a minute. Remote viewing: how would it be if you'd been taught to do this from earliest childhood, just as you've learned how to speak, read or write? It would be easy, wouldn't it? And you can still learn how to do it as an adult; you simply have to access your mind's ability to do so.

Before you take up the practice of remote viewing, how to relax is going to be a major factor in how well you can do it. If you're not a good 'relaxer,' try something before you pick up remote viewing that will teach you how to relax, like meditation. In this way, you can more easily access your subconscious mind. Self-hypnosis, too, is a great way to get to this stage of relaxation and an almost trance like state.

In addition to learning relaxation, though, you are also going to have to learn how to remain alert. It's very easy, of course, to fall asleep when you are that relaxed, but don't. Make sure you are well rested and calm, and let your mind stay alert as you fully relax physically.

Before you get into a comfortable, relaxed state and prepare for remote viewing, how will you test your results? You should plan a way to verify whether your viewing was successful or not before you get started.

One good way to do this is to choose test views that you know are verifiable, easily. For example, you could try to view a friend's home while lying at home on your bed, and take note of anything you think is out of place. For example, are there drinking glasses on a table that's normally clear? Is there a book open face down, such that you could read the title?

These are small things, to be sure, but they can tell you whether or not you're seeing what's actually happening. Once you've come back from your remote viewing session, call your friend and verify what you saw.

When you've practiced remote viewing, how to relax properly will become easier each time you do it. Soon, you'll find that you're able to relax easily and the technique itself will become much more fluid as well.
