Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Spiritual Life Coaching: Exercises for Self Transcendence

By Jason Lincoln Jeffers

The following Spiritual Life Coaching exercises, if practiced regularly, can help you to become conscious of your ego, create a space between your egoic mind and your pure consciousness, and begin your path toward self transcendence:

When you find yourself desiring material things that you can't afford, consider it. Ask yourself, "Do I really need this? Or do I want this because it makes me feel superior to others?" If the answer is the latter, then let the desire go.

When you find your inner dialogue comparing or contrasting another to your status in life, stop. Be still and watch what your ego is saying. Become a silent observer. Don't resist, just watch. Know that this is your ego's need to feel either superior or inferior to others and nothing more. In truth, everyone is equal. No one is superior or inferior to you in any way.

When your inner dialogue says negative things to you such as, "I'm not smart enough, good enough, or talented enough to do this or that," or, "It's the story of my life," or, "It's always something," stop. Be still and observe the ego silently from a detached, higher perspective. Know that this negative reinforcement is manifesting your own dismal reality and the reason that the problems keep coming back is because of this inner dialogue.

When you find your thoughts obsessing over a negative perception of your body such as your weight or looks, stop. Be still. Observe these thoughts from a detached perspective. Be cognizant that these obsessive thoughts are keeping you stuck in a state of dissatisfaction and that your ego distorts reality into a false self-perception. Your reality is being created by this negative identification.

The next time someone tries to initiate an argument with you, stop. Be still. Don't contribute to their emotional violence. Understand that it is their ego that needs to feel superior to you. Act from the level of the heart and see through the veil of the egoic mind. By not reacting to their need for emotional violence, you've already won. This is the power of self transcendence.

When a dark thought about another arises, do not dwell in judgment. Remain still and centered in your heart. Then ask yourself: "Have I not exhibited this same behavior before?"

Stop thinking about another when you first meet them. By taking egoic thoughts out of the equation, you allow a space of non-judgment and acceptance between you and your new acquaintance. Withhold the projecting of your past experiences with others on to your new experiences with others. Begin every new experience in a pure place of non-thinking, peaceful presence. That's called unconditional love.

Realize that events alone are not enough to disturb people but rather their reaction to the events. When you find your mind in a state of discord, conflict, anger, or frustration, never hold anyone or anything but your own judgment accountable. An unconscious person always blames the other for his or her own problems. To blame oneself is only the beginning of enlightenment. The master blames neither the Self nor the other.

How You Know To Trust A Clairvoyant Reading

By Minnie Lowery

Whether or not you can trust a clairvoyant reading is really up to you. You must take the evidence you see before you and judge for yourself. Some choose to believe that other people have the ability to see certain paranormal things, such as the future or spirits.

With most people, there is either a belief in the paranormal or none. There is very little gray area when it comes to this. While some people are willing to explore what could be possible, others would rather believe only in the things they can see and will not open their minds to anything else.

Believing in the paranormal should not label someone as insane, as many of the most intelligent people on earth will profess a strong belief that spirits walk the earth and can contact the living. There are many entertainment shows based on this belief. It is a fact that some people hear voices that may or may not be spirits speaking to them. The assumption is that the person has a mental disability that is creating the voices.

Most people will at least listen when a psychic says they may have some clues to the future, even if they are only listening because they are curious. When something a psychic says comes true, many people will attribute it to their foretelling, even if it was something that was fairly obvious to a sensible person.

Some people are sensitive to the environment and the atmosphere in which they live. They have a keen instinct into how the world works. There are people who have a natural ability to read human behavior. They can easily predict what actions the clients might take if they follow the suggestive nature they give them answers with.

You will have a successful clairvoyant reading if you decide you want to believe in the powers of the psychic. If you want to be extra sure, you can always ask for references of other clients who can attest to the trustworthiness of the psychic.

Spiritual Counseling - The Unmoved Mover

By Jason Lincoln Jeffers

The physicist will be happy to teach you how you came to be, how you got here. But it is left to the meta-physicist or spiritual counselor to offer insight as to why you are here. Furthermore, physicists can successfully explain how matter forms from energy, how atoms form from electrons, protons, and neutrons, how people form from stars. But in spite of all the explaining of how things happen, we are still left with the eon-old, unanswered question of how did space and time begin?

In the 4th Century BCE in ancient Greece, the philosopher Aristotle concluded from logical deduction that there must be an "unmoved mover" who was the originator or creator of all that exists. In 1916, Albert Einstein published his General Theory of Relativity and in modern physics it remains the description for gravity as a geometric property of space and time, or spacetime. The astrophysical significance of Einstein's theory implicates the existence of black holes, vacuums in space in which spacetime warps. As a result, nothing can escape the gravitational pull of a black hole, not even light.

Modern astronomers claim to have proven that our universe contains a multitude of black holes, which are massive stars that have collapsed into singularities of infinitesimal size. A burning star is only able to retain its shape because the outward force of its radiation (light, heat, etc.) equalizes the attractive force of its gravity. But when a massive star stops burning, the force of gravity becomes so immeasurable that not even the densely-packed mass can support itself and as a result, the star quickly shrinks in size until it's compressed to the size of a pinhead, then to the size of a microbe, and finally to the size of an atom. This division is called "infinite density" and this point is called "the singularity." In this theory, an event horizon is a spherical boundary in spacetime surrounding a black hole, beyond what cannot affect an outside observer, and from which light cannot escape. According to general relativity, the universe at the state of the Big Bang (13.7 billion years ago) was also a singularity.

In the center of a black hole, the singularity causes the laws of physics as we know them to break down completely. In a 2011 The Science Channel episode of "How the Universe Works," Professor Michio Kaku says, "A singularity is a point of infinite gravity where space and time become meaningless. Now that is ridiculous. A singularity is basically a word for saying, 'I don't know.' It's a word for saying, 'I'm clueless.'"

Logically speaking, everything that has a beginning must also have an end. Like a zero or the number 8, the Source has no beginning, and therefore has no end. It was never the Source of the past and it will not be the Source of the future. It is only the Source of the Infinite Now, in the Ever-Existing cosmic sea of Eternity.

Wedding Rings

By Owen Jones

One's wedding ring is often a person's most essential item of jewellery, because of the huge significance that it has for its wearer. It is intended to denote the love that exists between two people. In most countries, the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger of the left hand - the ring finger, although in Norway, Germany and Russia, it is worn on the fourth finger of the right hand.

It is usually a good idea to have your finger measured by an expert, before buying an expensive ring, because fingers swell and shrink over the course of a life span and a good jeweller will know how much leeway to allow. If the change in the size of your finger is likely to be lasting, it is a good idea to have the ring resized, this is so that it will neither cut into you nor fall off your finger easily.

These days a lot of couples like to go shopping for wedding rings together, because they want to buy a pair of matching rings that both of them likes. However, it does not have to be like that. In fact it never was, because the man bought the ring for his fiancee as a surprise. So, if you do not have the same tastes, do not worry about it.

There are hundreds of styles to choose from and several varieties and qualities of metal too. Yellow gold is still the most popular, but there is white gold and specialist golds too like Welsh gold, which is very rare. Besides gold, platinum and titanium are very popular too.

A fast developing trend is for a couple to design or have designed a unique pair of wedding rings. At first, you would think that this would be very expensive, but it is not necessarily so. If you keep your design moderate and the stones, if any, equally so, then the rings might only cost 10%-20% more than those off the shelf.

Gold is still the most popular metal for a wedding ring, but silver is starting to gain ground too, although it was always looked on as the poor cousin before. Likewise, diamonds are the still the number one stone of choice, but sapphires are also very popular nowadays. Or you could go for plain bands with something like a Celtic knot design.

Shopping for wedding rings can be fun, but it is easy to go over the top and spend much more than you intended to. You could determine how much you can afford and stick to it, not that that always works either. Expect to pay a lot more for the bride's wedding ring than the groom's. This is because the bride's ring usually contains diamonds, whereas the groom's is often a plain band of gold.

You could further personalize your wedding rings with a dedication and a date. Personalized, or unique wedding rings often get handed down through the generations. Maybe, yours will too. Or, if you want to wear your grandmother's handed-down ring, you could personalize it in some way, so that it is both old and yet something of you as well.

Understanding The Importance Of Past Life Readings

By Samantha Sanderson

If there was a mysterious incidence around the passing of any of your family members or you just want to make sure that they are ok, you can easily do this by talking to a psychic or medium that specializes in past life readings. These will help you to find closure and perhaps give you some answers that you are looking for.

When you have experienced something in your life that you want to know more about, and if you have unresolved feelings or thoughts about a family member who has passed away, you can use the past life readings to get the answers and help you move on. Many psychics can do this and while there are scam artists around, you will have to jut look around and do some research to find the reputable ones.

Many people also find that the past life readings help them to understand a bit more about the person that passed. The readings will also help to confirm any details about the passing that the family has not understood.

When you are given a piece of evidence that tells you that the psychic must be telling the truth, then you can go ahead and get a reading done. Most of the readings are short because the connections that people make are not always that strong. Most of the time, people from the other side just want to send a message to their loved ones, or tell them something important that they never did when they were alive.

The past life readings offer such closure and bring such peace to people. They might hear that their father was proud of them, even though nothing was said, or that they are with other family members who have passed. Little things like letting them know that they are loved can be the most helpful thing a person can hear when they have just lost a family member.

With all the different kinds of psychics that are out there, the ones that do these past life readings are some of the best and you can find plenty of them online.

Cross Your Heart then Want To ...

By Revs Bil & Cher Holton

How frequently have you ever heard a person say, "Cross your heart and hope to die!" It can be used so that you can cause it to be real apparent that just what the individual is saying will be truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth! But seriously! It is definitely an awful affirmation! We would prefer to complete that statement in a handful of other ways, that may help you in your spiritual growth. This week's article will explore the first approach:

Cross your heart and hope to SEE Truth:

This means seeing past the realm of appearance, and discover the Truth of each and every situation. Maybe you have seen one of those Magic Eye images, those that have a 3-D picture concealed within an abstract geometric design? They were extremely popular about a decade back. After they first arrived on the scene, we remember discovering one in the reception area of a company. The two of us stared and stared, discovering absolutely nothing. And then somebody walked past and told us to alter our focus, and search past the image - look through the image.

We weren't really certain just what this individual meant, yet once we tried refocusing, suddenly, SNAP! It looked like everything shifted, and then there it was - a 3-D image as well-defined and as vivid as you can imagine.

Not every person is able to see these 3-D illusions - it requires some work to move beyond the appearance of the geometric design. Which is just what is required once we look past the realm of appearance to discover the vivid Truth.

* To the world, there is the appearance of health challenges, but we know the Truth of who we are is absolute health flowing through every cell and atom of our being.

* To the world, there is the appearance of lack, but we know the Truth of who we are is abundance and prosperity flowing.

* To the world, you will find the appearance of fear, but we know the Truth of who we are is greater than any illusion of fear because we are One with the Source of everything we require - in the moment of need.

Once we cross out error thinking, we start to stand in the Truth of what we know, and discover beyond that realm of appearance regardless of just how much the world, the media, and others would like to concentrate on the appearance of things.

Once we discover how to "Cross our heart and SEE Truth" we all cross out error and move a step nearer to Enlightenment. This month, practice exploring past the realm of appearance, and discovering Truth:

Any time you feel any adverse emotion or experience a predicament that seems unpleasant or even overwhelming, take the time to breathe into it. Be still and claim the Truth of who you are. Enter into a minimum of fifteen minutes of Quiet, moving lightly from the voices in your mind towards the Spirit of Truth within our heart. Then cross your heart and hope to - no, KNOW YOU WILL - see Truth!

Discover the real difference it can make in the way you undertake each day.

Melissus of Samos, a Short Outline of His Eleactic Philosophy

By David Von Walland

Melissus of Samos was a Traditional Greek Thinker who lived during the fifth century B.C.E. He followed the great Parmenides and Zeno of Elea as the last of the Eleactic convention. Generally, he agreed with his predecessors, but he starkly disagreed on the limited and timeless nature of existence.

Before we look into his research, we must always survey the primary works. We all know in reality comparatively little about the last Eleactic philosopher. The majority we know about him is derived from Plutarch's Life of Pericles, in which writing we discover he led a Samian fleet as chief in 422 B.C.E. And he later brought Pericles and the Athenian navy to their downfail.

His best contribution to philosophy remains his dissertation On Nature, big slivers of which Simplicius preserved in his commentaries on Aristotle. Though we don't have all of Simplicius ' work, we do have a great bit of it. Once can read Melissus ' work in the Dielz-Kranz, an enormous collection of Pre-Socratic writings.

Like Parmenides and Zeno, the philosopher believed the world to be quite misleading. All three debated the world was unified, invariable, and motionless. However , he disagreed with Parmenides on two points.

While Parmenides argued that existence was spatially limited, Melissus counteracted that existence was unconditionally unlimited, and while Parmenides thought reality existed in a timeless present, the later Eleactic proposed instead that existence is eternal. Melissus simply built upon their argument by suggesting for a wholly unlimited reality.

The philosopher argued that whatever is must have come to be that way. Since existence to the Eleactics was unchangeable, existence would have never come to be; rather, it just. Thus, existence never had a beginning and, thus, is eternal.

Secondly, he justified existence's eternality in a slightly fallacious manner. He argues that whatever has no beginning is neither eternal nor unlimited. Since existence has no beginning and end, it must thus be eternal and unlimited.

Scholars debate this argument as it obviously expresses a logical fallacy, that has led some to conclude we are missing imperative primary resources to fill in crucial grounds. No matter the absence of resources, Melissus plays a crucial role in the history of philosophy as he made heavy contributions to Eleactic thought and because Plato and Aristotle later depended very heavily on his version of Eleactic Philosophy.
