Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

How To Deal With Death

By Burton Rager

No one finds it straightforward to keep on after the death of a mate, sister, brother, parent, partner or child. Each brings its own hurt and discomfort and difficulty in discovering how to deal with death. The strength of the loss will alter tremendously. My emotions after the loss of a best buddy were very different from the loss of my folks and those losses were significantly different than the death of my better half.

I was with my best mate only a few hours before he died. I remember him pulling at the sheets and being extraordinarily perturbed. I sat beside him and held him for a long time while attempting to provide comfort to my friend and friendship to his wife. It was tricky for her to witness her hubby wrestling and to know the end was near.

Sitting and staying with my mom in the hospice during her last five days and nights was quite a different experience. I recall taking a look at her many times times to work out if she was still breathing. She was completely ready to go home to heaven; and that helped each of us who loved her. Nonetheless, watching your ma struggle to breathe during her last hours is never simple.

My pop, a fabulous 86 year old man who had lived a full life, died 6 years after with lung complications. He was also quite ready to go to Heaven. He had missed my mom extraordinarily over those last 6 years. I wished I had known then what I know today. We furnished him a good life but I failed to realize the hurt he was going thru. The night he died, I was alone with him for the last four hours of his life. I held him in my arms during those last hours, just he and I. I was able to say to him what an awesome pop he'd been and how much I loved him. What a privilege to get to hold him and to hear the death rattle. It became so sweet because I knew where he was headed, to see his Jesus and to see the old lady.

I grew through these experiences yet, they did not prepare me for the biggest loss of my life. My prior better half of TWENTY-SEVEN years was identified with stage 4 cancer. Ten weeks later she also went home, just like my friend, my mom and my pop. This experience, not like the others, rocked me to my core. It's a story all its own. Some moments I could grin, but at times the grief was all consuming. I would feel trapped in a box; respiring, merely surviving was all I could manage. It was as if I could only take one step at a time. It was in this experience that God started to mold, form, and change me beyond anything I may have imagined. He was preparing me to accomplish His work thru my life.

I encourage you to use our complimentary gift, "God's Answer?" It will demonstrate to you a power to not only live life, but also a power to change your life, beyond your wildest imagination.

The theme will depend on what the business deals in. The pictures of the products on sale should be included. For example, when a business sell sport products, it should have a theme that would attract the people who are interested in such products.

A Short History Of Hinduism

By Owen Jones

Hinduism is a complex blend of polytheistic religion, a (belief in many gods, rather like the Greek and the Roman deities) and philosophy. It stemmed from Vedism, which dates back to the second millennium before Christ. It is not surprising therefore that numerous sects have developed or broken away from a faith of this age.

However, most of these sects rely on the one book, the Vedic writings known universally as the 'Upanishads', and their differences result from their individual interpretations of it. These texts describe the events of Shiva, the creator, preserver and destroyer of the universe and they are based on even more ancient writings such as the Mahabharata, the Ramayana and, less famous in the West, the Puaranas.

The Bhagavad Gita, the Lord's Song, a part of the Mahabharata, relates a dialogue between Krishna (another incarnation of the god Vishnu) and the student Prince Arjuna. This dialogue elucidates the three paths to enlightenment or union with God.

This might sound dreary, but I can assure you that reading the Bhagavad Gita could easily transform the way that you look upon life no matter which religion you adhere to, if you have one.

The fundamentals of Hinduism are that people should attempt to connect their selves (Atman) with the Godhead (Brahman) and reincarnation (samsara). Just what people come back as is determined by how people have led their lives, that is, one's actions (karma) and one's duty (dharma).

This continuous reincarnation into a life of suffering can only be broken when one joins the Godhead in a state of Atman-Brahman. Their are four paths to attain this divine condition in Hinduism. These are: jnana yoga, which is based on knowledge; bhakti yoga, which is based on service to God; karma yoga, which is based on work for God (rather than oneself) and raja yoga, which is based on psychophysical exercise.

Raja yoga, or the 'Royal Path', is the kind of yoga that most Westerners will have heard of and seen. Raja yoga is more common in these West these days than at any other period in history.

Hinduism has three principal theistic traditions founded on anthropomorphic gods. Vishnu is a loving god incarnated as Krishna; Shiva is both protective and destructive and Brahma is the creator. Saktism is a form of worship dedicated to the female partners of Vishnu and Shiva. Hindu's venerate all forms of life, but the most sacred animal to Hindus is the cow.

Hindu worship revolves around a person's and a family's devotion to a particular 'favourite' god or group of gods. The act of worship is carried out at a shrine, which can be at home or communally in public. There are a number of places of pilgrimage including the Ganges in northern India.

The three primary festivals are Dipavali - the 'festival of lights' - which sacred to Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity; Holi, a spring festival and Dashara, a harvest festival.

Hinduism is the oldest of the world's prolific religions. It is most widespread in India, which has outlawed the ancient caste system of Hinduism. This caste system used to segregate society into five foremost groups: brahmins were leaders, philosophers and artists; kshatriyas were princes, soldiers and administrators; vaishyas were merchants and landowners; shudras were labourers and the remainder were outcasts or untouchables.

Get Enlightenment Within Nature

By Rachel Gathern

With enlightenment some native traditions call the state of being an additional object 'shape-shifting', but I am not too certain about that. It's more like when my feeling of 'self' dissolves in nature then there's more of my consciousness obtainable to see the planet from other points of view. It is like an expanded state of consciousness in that I normally get to experience the 5 senses of objects external to me, such as the lizard, bird and fish I just became in nature.

Throughout this state of becoming all things at the same time, it feels like a total one-ness. It is as if there's no separation in between myself and things exterior. I'm everything (and absolutely nothing) all at the same time. And there's no separation not only between myself and other, but no separation in between other and other. All things are the exact same. All coming through the same.

And while in this state it's as if there's a unified power that is guiding all things. Maybe this is actually the life-force, but I discover there's a subtle force inside the trees, the clouds, the oceans, the animals that's guiding them (us) through existence. And this power has an innate knowledge in that my inner voice can speak with this particular power within every tree, rock, stream and mountain.

With this particular force that's continuously guiding every thing, it's like this wisdom is all over the place just waiting to be tapped into. I liken this force to 'the creator' in that the power designs everything with it's own guiding power. And I encounter that I am this force, yet it's also me. The reason for this really is there's no separation between the creator or everyone else. It is like all I am is the creator encountering itself through me.

This really is a strange state to encounter life through but the much more I am out on my own in nature, the greater it appears to be true. There really is no separation between myself or anything external of myself.

I do not know if this state of oneness and connectedness is called enlightenment or not but it is completely possible to tap into another realm of consciousness by investing time alone in nature without distractions for 3-4 days. Then when you enter this state numerous times and practice you can then flip the experience of it on and off at will... even whilst in busy shopping mall centers.

Review of Sowing and Reaping

By Prophet Chris Reed

In tough economic times like these, one of the first things to pop up in conversation is naturally, finances. Experts say save, pastors say give, and we can't help but wonder "where is my harvest?" We as the Body of Christ have heard many promises, many gimmicks, and many strategies...but what is the truth on the matter? Is it really "name it and claim it?" Or is it "sow it and reap it?" Or perhaps, the truth is something different altogether. In seeking the Lord on this matter, here is the reality of what I see, and what I have heard the Lord saying:

I have seen (and have sown) major "seeds" sown in faith, with no result in the natural. I have seen poor widows give their last, and still struggle financially. I have also seen faithful believers experience miraculous provisions - in fact, my own spiritual father, after hearing from the Lord and giving a specified amount to a specified place monthly, was blessed with a new car, totally paid for. So, then, what is the difference? I believe that the answer is multi-faceted, but primarily two-fold: First, obedience is better than sacrifice. If the Lord says to give $1.00, and you give that $1.00 as He has commanded you, your reward will be for obedience. On the other hand, giving $1,000 without being told to is commendable, but does not necessarily bring in a harvest.

Why? 1 Samuel 15:22 says, "But Samuel replied, "What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams."Obedience is the key here. Additionally, Ecclesiastes 5:1 warns us to "Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil." WOW! So God's word warns us that simply offering sacrifices (offerings) vainly is not only foolish, but evil. The key is OBEDIENCE - and not to the man standing and collecting the offering, but to the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, what is the purpose? Is it for your own vainglory? James 4:2-3 says, "You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." My spiritual father asked for the purpose of being able to minister; not to puff himself up. I know this is a touchy subject, and one that has been abused and misused so badly that it has left many devastated and wounded within the church.

Today, let's establish balance on the giving and the prosperity message in two simple steps: (1) Obey the Lord out of love; and (2) Ask out of the motive of love. When we fully obey, we shall surely eat of the good of the land, and we will be blessed not just for our own divulgence, but far more importantly, we will be blessed TO BE A BLESSING!
