Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Deciding Whether To Return To Your Ex Or Not

By Cecille Haynes

Put straight, no break ups are a good experience. Some break ups are more than others are. They will typically leave you disillusioned and bitter with life. You could be wondering whether or not your ex would want to work things back to normal after a break up like that. You can find this out without contacting your ex.

You should not try to hurry things up by making all the phone calls or ask him blatantly. You may end up doing more harm than good. You should allow your ex to have some alone time to recover.

Whenever there is a break up. Your memories do not disappear from you ex's mind immediately. There are feelings that remain lingering in your ex's mind. The same thoughts will cause someone to show signs of wanting to get back together.

Are there hopes of you ex coming back to you? Often, your ex might send you a text message with a casual message. This is a good sign that you still have a place in his or her mind.

Uncertainty is rife at this point. Nobody will have an easy time knowing whether to be cautious or not.

The best thing to do at that point is to respond to the message in a similar casual way. See what you ex will say in return. The messages are normally simple and tacit. They may be trying to show that they care about how you are fairing so far. It is normally an indicator that your ex misses you and still has some heart for having you back.

Once the reply is received well and a fresh message comes triggering a conversation, you are well on path. You are getting to feel comfortable with each other once again. Once people have established this rapport once again, they will start talking about whether it is possible to get back together again.

The million-dollar question is whether your ex still wants you. That caliber of a message should help you answer that properly.

Some Advice To Get Back Her Love For You

By Mike Morrison

Are you going through situations where you feel that your once loving girlfriend is now beginning to lose interest and is becoming cold?

Cut the panicking because not everything is lost. You should at once get down to business and find out what could be going wrong. In real sense, you should be thinking in the lines of what ought to be done if you are to be the one in her life once again.

You should not push somebody over the edge just to fall for you. This will give them the impression that you are not worth it after all. You should be able to display traits that make you special to them and what you are willing to do together in simplicity.

Talking things out will always send you in the right direction. You will never go wrong when you walk this route. Let your feelings for each other converge in the end.

Doing this will be able to identify where the holes in the relationship boat are. You will be able to identify a certain new habit or an action that is causing problems.

Depending on how she expresses her feelings about how she does not feel the same way she did about you when you were just starting, compare the things you used to do then and now. You are after results and not just emotions.

Start chasing the dreams you had once held together and relive some of the moments you had together. Watch out for any changes that may have occurred that implied that you had shelved those dreams. Do something you always said you wanted to do.

Start with those things that you wanted to do first and see what else you could add. The main idea is to show that you cherish her. Do not hesitate to break a few of your rules to fight for her approval once again. If you are serious, you will not think of this as something hard to do. Believe in these ideas and start living by them. It will only be a matter of time before the gears start changing.

The Relationship Between Strong Emotions And Lump That Develops In The Throat

By Elizabeth Kelly

Just when one is about to have an emotional outburst there is one common feeling that we all seem to get called a lump in the throat. It is also the very same feeling that we experience when we just before we shout, yell or cry. It makes it difficult for us to say what we want to say and also to breathe normally. So how can we explain this lump?

This lump that we feel is not a physical one but it is more of a physical sensation. The throat becomes faced with the dilemma of carrying out two tasks simultaneously.

When we are emotional or feel like bursting into tears, this sensation comes about due to the fight or flight state that has kicked in. this state is triggered by our fear or anger stressing the body just before an emotional outburst. The heart is forced to pump faster due to this stress.

To give the heart the air that it needs to keep pumping as such, the lungs have to take in more air. This requires that the vocal chords stretch some more for us to take in as much air as possible with each breath.

A valve like opening in the middle of our larynx controls how much air will go into our lungs as we breathe in. this hole closes temporarily when we are trying to swallow something and it is called the glottis.

The work of controlling how the glottis opens or closes is done by our vocal chords. For instance, when one decides to scream then the vocal chords will demand that the glottis be at its widest and the opposite when we are trying to swallow.

The lumpy sensation occurs due to the deep breaths that we are taking. The glottis is forced to open its largest.

On the other hand, when it comes to crying, we normally try as hard as we can to swallow the tears that are forthcoming. This leads to the compression of the glottis. The simultaneous compression and expansion of the vocal chords at the same time therefore leads to the so called lump in our throats.

Sin And Existentialism - Nietzsche's Slave Morality

By David von Walland

Nietzsche attacked Christians, as symbolized by the Priestly class in his works, because they tricked the Noble class into submission. Superior strength and domination characterize the Nobles' morality while the Priestly class promoted humility, meagerness, non-violence, etc. Nietzsche claimed that the Christian morality, a slave morality, is killing us. The Christians brainwashed the Nobles by forcing them to believe in their own morality, namely calling strength, aggression, and violence bad and humility, love, and peace good. This in effect revealed the Priests' "will to power." Nietzsche correctly stated that slave morality is killing everyone in light of his Proto-Existentialism, however, the claim that some are violently aggressive while others are not does not sufficiently negate the will to power theory.

When we are born into this world, Nietzsche insists, we enter into a world depraved by slave morality. This morality, mainly the fault of the Christians, teaches the world to suppress their wrong or "sinful" desires. Although conservative Christians would never admit this, they have created a law on top of the Law. In fact, they too have become Pharisees, the very people against whom Jesus strongly spoke. This list of "do's and don'ts" usually consists of don't drink, don't smoke, don't watch R-rated movies, don't play cards, don't cuss, etc. and do go to church, do have a "quiet time," do pray, etc. In fact, Scripture at best vaguely warrants these commandments, many of which are man-made.

We begin to develop this morality and realize the impossibility of upholding these moral codes. The Christians despairs over his failure as a human being and constantly beckons God's grace. Nietzsche says that the battle lies in this tension. In a battle between right and wrong, a person easily loses confidence. The Priestly class wins the battle here because the Nobles allow guilt to overcome strength. Hermann Hesse's Demian illustrates this well. The protagonist, Sinclair, struggles throughout his childhood with the Christian sense of morality. Sinclair's friend, Demian, describes him as bearing "the mark of cain." The Biblical story of Cain and Abel explains that Cain murdered his brother Abel for offering a better sacrifice to God. Thus, God cast Cain out of the land and to bear a mark that all the nations would recognize as evil. One wishes to harness these ulterior motives once he recognizes the "evil" side to his personality, not smother it.

Existentialism really helps Nietzsche's argument here. Existentialism involves both a primacy on existence and radical free will (or indeterminism). Jean-Paul Sartre, for example, described existentialism as existence preceding essence. Meaning, man's makes his own destiny as opposed to man fitting some pre-determined destiny or essence. Nancy Holstrom, in a similar vein, describes a continuum of desire. A first order desire such as "I want pancakes," may result in eating pancakes. However, a second order volition "Pancakes are not healthy" may contest the first. If the second order volition causes one to not eat pancakes, it becomes the first order volition. Likewise, the Nobles can never let their second order volition of evil overcome their fear of and complacency with the Christian morality. Since the Nobles will never challenge the Priestly motives, they are not truly free, and cannot determine "man," or their lives.

Nietzsche clearly proves that all men will to power, whether it be through aggressive or passive-aggressive means. Hesse might suggest that those who aggressively will to power bear the mark of cain while the others will to power in more subtle ways. And Nietzsche recognizes that some do it in violent or passive manners, but it is clear that all will to power. The Noble would will to power by his strength and ability to dominate while the Priest wills to power by means of deception and trickery. It is through trickery, in fact, that the Priest brings the Noble down to his level, engraining a slave morality, and effectively conquering the Noble. If only the Noble would harness his "evil" side, then he may evade this Christian trap.

The slave morality, then, kills everyone because no one may effectively determine his own life, or existence. We are left to follow the status quo of conservative moralism, and when we battle with that morality, we fall prey to "sin" and reinforce the normative pietism. If one simply embraced his freedom, he would realize his own god-like power, and also understand fully his past lack of power. All will to power but those successful ones currently do so only through trickery and a rejection of their own humanity.

Procrastination As The Worst Enemy To Getting Things Done

By Paul Stuart

To run a productive and successful business calls for efficiency and meticulous planning on the part of the owner in order to expand and boost its services or the products. There are a few tips that one can use to avoid falling into the usual productivity traps. You can sidestep them completely and increase the productivity levels by far.

Procrastination: When tempted a lot to keep postponing the harder work you have to do for later, and think you should have a go at the simpler tasks first. This is a bad idea.

Procrastination tends to kill motivation because you will keep rescheduling the tougher tasks which will make them appear tougher than they really are. You need to form the habit of dealing with tasks as soon as they land on your desk as fast as you can without choosing; but the only priority should be the order of which ones are needed first.

Non Prioritization of work: It is very wrong to have the mentality that all tasks are equal and it does not matter however way you go about tackling them even without following any particular order; so long as you are busy working.

A rush begins when you suddenly realize that there are some tasks which were needed earlier than the others and that some were actually more important than the rest. This is why successful and productive people must prioritize work according to their importance and urgency.

Checking the email first thing in the morning: You might be thinking that it is a very wise move to first check the emails to see what is new every morning, but this is not what is recommended as fresh mail tends to distract you from the original schedules.

To keep off this trap, you should stick to the schedule and put in a whole hour of solid work before checking the mail each morning.

Some people tune their email program alerts to come on every time a new mail arrives, well what you will need to succeed is to turn that alarm off because it only serves as a distraction to you. Just stick meticulously to the tasks at hand and clear them all in the fastest time possible. This is the best way to grow and improve our business.

Broken Relation Grief - You Can Overcome The 5 Five Stages

By Louis Cruz

Broken relationship grief and emotional grief are not much different. In fact they are about the same since emotional grief also has five stages. They both consist of the loss of someone special. Losing somebody you really love is a very hard event in life. But we all must at some point in the road of life encounter this experience. So knowing the five stages and becoming familiar with the stage in which you are will let you conquer and allow you to endure this hard time.

Denial

An attitude of denial ordinarily occurs after a close loving relationship is broken. A relationship that existed for years and out of the blue is finished could be very traumatic. You might one day come out of work and expect your ex to be outside waiting for you when you then recall that you broke up and that your ex is not coming.. And possibly never coming back to pick you up or meet you at work. This may be a difficult matter to accept. So you tell yourself, "Is this really happening", or "this cannot be".

Anger

Anger is the next emotion that we experience in this second stage. All stages are important but this stage is delicate. During this stage you are at the risk of manifesting your anger in the wrong way and to the wrong people. You may get angry at God. But believe me it is not his fault. Crazy things may go through your mind. You may think of getting even with your ex boy or girlfriend or even rejecting the people who so dearly love you and try to support and comfort you in this delicate time. This is definitely a stage where you need to make an effort to think before you talk and dedicate much time to reflection.

Bargaining

This is a very crucial stage. What makes this stage difficult is that the pain is making you wish that nothing is happening and that everything will go back to the way it was before. You wish it to be normal once more. So you start bargaining with your ex making promises hoping that you may convince your ex to come back to you. You may also end up making promises to God hoping that he will assist you to get everything you want. Or perform some miracle or something like that. You get false hopes in this stage. You are still trying to hang on to fake hopes and still suffering from denial.

Depression

At this stage you are finally realizing and feeling that all is lost and that there are no possibilities of you getting back together with your ex. So you sink into the stage of depression. You cannot see a clear future. You do not know what the future will hold for you and you begin to experience sadness and emotions of bitterness and frustration. The emotions are overwhelming and cause you to feel sorry for yourself. You also feel defenseless. All these emotions are in their peak in this stage. Of all stages this is a time to look for support in the persons who love you. It may they be family or friends. It is important to not lose faith completely. If you are spiritual, look for help from heaven and use all means possible to overcome this stage of depression. Understand that as time goes by, you will overcome this stage and realize that the future is really not that dim. There are still many beautiful things in life and beautiful people to meet. This takes us to the next stage.

Acceptance

You have gone through some serious stages of grief due to a broken relationship. But now you have fortunately come to the stage of acceptance. Despite the fact that the majority of the previous feelings still exist but you are not combating a great deal against destructive thoughts and false thoughts of hope. This stage of acceptance is not a stage of resignation. Put simply, you just have not given up on life. Quite the opposite, you now accept that you will not be sharing your life with your ex and reset your mind to accept this new life and realized that there is a future without your ex. You are driven to develop your goals gradually so that you can insure a bright future. You also recognize that your broken relationship is in the past and that you must go forward.

As you go through these stages you will finally get to the phase in which you will appreciate the things you experienced through this tough time. Continue to look for support in good friends and always have someone you can talk to. Pray and meditate a lot.

Please remember that countless others are coping with your same challenge. You are not alone. You can and will make it through this broken relationship grief.
