Death is coming

The closer death creeps up upon me the less I am able to understand the reasons for life or living.

Yes I have experienced a close family member dying and unlike television it takes decades to handle such a thing. To think I am going to put my family through such a thing when I finally leave is more horrific to me than the thought of death itself.

My life was and is still a learning experience but when all said and done what am I to do with all this accumulated learning over my lifetime if I just die. There is no logic or reason to this.

Long ago I became aware that the God story that is sold to the majority is just a nice story to give mankind with a message of a basic layout of how nice life could be if everyone followed these ideas. Not many in life do and if one thinks about it the good and evil structures actually depend on each other. The good that can be experienced in life is only understood as good when there is it's opposite to compare it to. This is not rocket science only common sense in reality. I am not saying we need to experience bad but understanding in it is needed to appreciate the great things many of us can have in our lives. From birth to death there are many ways mankind helps his fellow man. How many ways can you help?

Therapies for Anxiety

By Stephen Daniels

Anxiety is a frequent response to stress. When stress levels become too intense to cope well, anxiety can reach a level that interferes with daily life. This is particularly true now, in the current economy, when financial difficulties are affecting so many households.

Lack of funds to pay the bills, concerns about job security, and the risk of losing one's home, all put people at risk for anxiety. Worries about other personal incidents can also add to underlying issues.

Symptoms of anxiety can be emotional, mental and even physical, or a combination of all three. Sufferers often describe feeling trapped or overwhelmed. You may feel afraid without understanding why, or be concerned about losing control of day to day events. Big mood swings and bouts of sadness are common, as is a feeling of unreality. Anxiety can interfere with normal thought processes and short-term memory, which makes it even harder to handle immediate concerns.

Anxiety can cause physical symptoms, including dizziness, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and even strained breathing. Some people report headaches or a ringing in the ears, and some have an increase in allergy reactions. It is not uncommon to have bad dreams, or insomnia.

When emotional and physical symptoms occur at the same time, many people find it difficult to cope on a daily basis. It can become overwhelming to make everyday decisions. You may feel trapped, unable to see your way out of your predicament. These are signs to seek help.

A crisis intervention approach is one method to help deal with the many symptoms and issues of anxiety. Crisis intervention looks at the problem head-on, not as a bunch of separate issues. Discussing your concerns with an experienced counselor gives you a opportunity to examine your situation in a supportive and constructive environment. This should help break what feels like a never ending cycle of worry and fear, and allows you to begin the healing process.

While anxiety can be caused by situations in your daily environment, it is sometimes not enough to address those issues. Often our past plays a role. It is important to examine the underlying factors that helped to create your anxiety. Emotional associations from the past, ways of dealing with problems, even basic attitudes toward life can be involved. Becoming aware of these factors and learning to work with them is one of the keys to recovery.

Anxiety can be treated in many ways. It is important to find a method, or combination of methods that work for you. Complex problems need a variety of solutions. A holistic approach is often most effective.

Holistic therapy looks at the whole person. All the dimensions of life are considered, whether social, spiritual or emotional. The primary focus is on achieving a balance for life improvement. Attacking the symptoms alone is not sufficient. Your mental and emotional health is influenced by all the factors in your life.

Holistic therapy can help you to understand and find better ways to manage these factors. Learning to find balance and using your inner strength will bring you the inner stability you need to endure unstable times. It takes a desire to change your life, and the help of the right counselor, but there is hope for a future free of anxiety.

Subconscious Mind Secrets And Myths

By Geoff Vincent

Let's face it; practically everyone in the world today is aware of the fact that they have a subconscious mind. In fact, when things go wrong in our lives, many people immediately place the blame on their subconscious mind. Unfortunately however, not many people seem to realize just how powerful the subconscious mind can be, and that it can be your best friend or your worst enemy, in that it is your subconscious mind which ultimately controls the way in which you live your life. Perhaps you are wondering what exactly is a subconscious mind, and why it's essential for people to pay close attention to what the subconscious mind is thinking?

Even though many professionals have tried to convince us otherwise, the vast majority of people acknowledge the fact that they have a subconscious mind, and that it is literally a mind within a mind. As such, one could compare it to a control board, in that it is able to direct us to carry out certain actions and to think certain thoughts. You could also view it as being that voice inside your head that you hear when you're in times of trouble. Of course, each person's subconscious mind communicates with them differently from the next. In other words, no two people have the same sort of subconscious mind even if they have been together since birth, and even if they grew up under the exact same conditions. In fact, not even identical twins have the same subconscious mind as each other.

Contrary to what you may believe, you have also heard your subconscious mind speaking to you in the past. For example, if you've ever been on the verge of making a monumental decision and a voice inside your head managed to speak you out of it, then that was your inner mind talking. Obviously we all want our inner mind to talk us out of doing dangerous things but unfortunately it sometimes manages to convince us that we cannot do something even though we actually can. As such, your subconscious mind is basically what you think of yourself deep down, and if left unchecked, it can have disastrous consequences.

When you're having deep thoughts and your subconscious mind is telling you negative things, then there's very little chance that you'll end up enjoying your life the way you should. Fortunately however, there is something you can do in order to change the way you feel about yourself. In fact you can make your subconscious mind say good things rather than bad so that you can live your life in happiness.

One common practice which many people use nowadays is a method known as 'affirmations', in which you repeat positive statements to yourself throughout the course of the day. The good thing about this method is that it's not necessary for you to spend a load of money on subliminal messaging scripts because it is something you can do at home by yourself.

If you would like to stop smoking for example, then instead of thinking that you cannot kick the habit, you should rather be thinking how good it feels to be a non smoker. You should write this down on a piece of paper so that you can carry it around with you and read it to yourself whenever the need arises. You could of course also place a copy of it on the mirror, next to your bed, and even next to the toilet, so that you see the message as often as possible during any given day. Your goal should be to repeat this message to yourself as many times as possible each day until such time that your subconscious mind realizes that this is what you are wanting it to think.

In this example, you would soon start noticing that you're losing weight. On the other hand, if you had been using affirmations regarding becoming wealthy, you would soon see your bank balance increasing. The good news is that you can apply this technique to any aspect of your life. Sound too good to be true?

Let's take a look at another example which you may even be able to relate to. How often have you woken up a bit later than you should have, and the first thing you think is, 'I just know that it's going to be one of those days again'? You jump in the shower, only to realize there's no soap. You finish up and head to the kitchen for a quick cup of coffee before work, and what happens, you end up spilling coffee over yourself. By the time you get to work you firmly believe that it's definitely going to be one of those off days. Once in your office you're faced with several problems and just when you think things cannot get any worse, they do.

While many people would blame this on coincidence, saying that if they had remembered to set the alarm, they would not have woken up late, and if they had looked where they were going, they would not have stepped in the dog's mess. However, there is no such thing as coincidence, in that everything happens for a reason, and in most cases, your subconscious mind is the reason.

Many people have already tried to explain this phenomenon in scientific terms, as can be seen in books like 'The Secret'. Even though it has proven to be extremely difficult to explain, this phenomenon has however become known as the 'Law of Attraction'. This law states that a person's subconscious mind actually creates reality rather than only influencing it.

Even though some people may consider this to sound a little crazy, quantum physics is however in agreement with this theory. In fact, it has already been proven that matter is linked intrinsically to the mind of the observer. Interestingly enough, many religions have been preaching this long before science came along and proved it.

What you need to bear in mind is that because you can create your own reality with your subconscious mind, it is possible to create a reality of your choice. In fact, some of the wealthiest people in history have become wealthy simply because they have consistently believed and visualized themselves acquiring a vast amount of wealth.

Astral Travel - The Truth Will Set You Free!

By Joe M Burns

Everyone has had those dreams where they are flying; you've certainly had them yourself- remember how this feels? This is very much like astral travel. When it is traveling, your astral body moves in much the same way, except for at the speed of thought! When you're astral traveling, you need only to turn your thoughts towards where you'd like to be and you are there. Your astral body can leave your physical body and mind while they are in a state of deep relaxation, although it is through sleep that we first experience astral travel.

Although it can happen while you are asleep, astral travel and dreaming are two distinct things. Dreaming is something which plays out entirely in our brain; it is one of the ways that your mind replays the day's events and works thorough things. You may or may not remember your dreams, which is one marked difference between dreaming and astral travel.

When you wake remembering vividly even the smallest detail of what has happened as your body was at rest, this is almost certainly an astral travel experience rather than a dream which you are recalling. It's important to keep a journal where you can write down everything you remember. You'll want to add to this record and refer back to it periodically. It won't all make sense at first, but much like putting together a puzzle, a picture will begin to take shape.

Astral dreams are psychically beneficial, much as dreams are in helping your mind to process the things which happen in your day. Everyone has different astral travel experiences and the benefits are also unique to each individual. This makes it especially important to keep a record of your experiences; comparing them to another's experiences is much like comparing apples to oranges and is largely a useless exercise.

One benefit which everyone can experience through astral travel is an increased awareness of themselves and their place in the universe. This in turn leads to a sense of well being and inner peace. Astral projection also helps to improve your memory and alertness since it exercises parts of our physical minds which most people never take the time to develop.

After learning to astral travel, other latent psychic abilities will begin to awaken and be strengthened. Most people report having an increased awareness of others thoughts and an easier time sensing spiritual presences.

Astral travel can not only take you to places you'd never otherwise see, but also takes you into yourself and can cause a blooming of your intellect as well as your psychic talents.

People who start off as skeptics about astral travel are often convinced of its merits once they begin to gain experience with astral projection and start enjoying its beneficial effects.

Other than these benefits, it should be remembered that there is also fun to be had! Astral travel allows you to do things and go places which are outside of your ordinary life; it's something like a vacation for your astral body.

Really, it's amazing that everyone doesn't use astral travel. However, most people mistakenly believe that this is an ability which can be used only by a very lucky few. In fact, the opposite is true: anyone can astral travel; it's only a question of making the choice to develop this natural ability.

You have almost certainly had the experience of astral projection before, although it is possible you were unaware that this is what you were doing.

The best way to get started is to just let astral travel happen on its own and keep a journal of your astral projection experiences. Soon, you'll be able to identify when you are astral traveling and this means you're ready to start practicing to astral travel when you choose to do so. It takes practice, but you can develop this innate ability and with so much to be gained, it's well worth the effort.

Each of us has the ability to astral travel. With practice and determination, you can train yourself to astral project. There are resources available which can help you to ready yourself to use this natural ability. With time and patience, you'll achieve your goal and gain the inner peace which comes with learning astral travel.

Hermes And Enoch Are One And The Same?

By Ken Klein

Have you ever consider mythology and wondered if it was based in some true events? Men like Hercules could be the biblical character Samson. Or possibly the gigantic Cyclops the Nephilim giants mentioned in Generation. Until now these kin could just be considered fanciful ideas to put a puzzle together.

All of biblical interpretation, if sound interpretation principles are used, is known as the procedure called hermeneutics. Hermeneutics was so named because of the Greek god Hermes. Hermes was known as the chief god of the messengers.

He was a more modern entity that was derived from the Egyptian god Thoth. Thoth and/or Hermes were the intermediary between the gods and mankind, and therefore were characterized and dubbed the messenger god.

But the Christian?s can not be blamed for plagiarism or god theft alone. The Greeks stole the god of messages who they dubbed Hermes from the Egyptians. The Egyptian god from whom the Greeks stole the idea of a messenger god they named Thoth.

What is fascinating about the Egyptian god Thoth is that he was given credit for formulating and inventing the first lunar calendar which was based upon the twelve thirty day lunar cycles of the moon as it coursed through the sky

But the god Thoth who was far more ancient then Hermes and from whom the Greeks fashioned their god had an ancestor who also was given credit for inventing the lunar calendar. His name was Enoch the Biblical character in the book of Genesis

So we come to the incredible conclusion that the Egyptian god Thoth, who we know to be the biblical character Enoch, a real person, was also deified in Greek Mythology as the messenger god Hermes. This is a revolutionary connection bridging the gap between fantasy and reality. Perhaps all the gods have human representations that we need to make the connection to.

Consider the ramifications of this connection when looking at Greek Mythology. Perhaps myth and legend are not so far removed from reality.

Telepathy - Communicate Without Your Normal Senses

By David A Andrews

What exactly is telepathy? Without getting into the technical information, the easy way to understand it is that your emotions or mental imageries can be transferred from one person or another. However what is special about it is you do it without saying anything, touching, tasting, smelling, or even hearing the other person.

We have been used to using language for such a long time that we find it hard to think of telepathy in the same way. However, there have been several scientists and animal trainers who are completely convinced that animals have the power of telepathy. While you would think this would be a crazy thought, they have amassed a huge amount of evidence to show this is true.

While humans in the West consider this to be a strange phenomenon, there are still primitive tribes around today who naturally use the power of telepathy. This way they can communicate with one another secretly.

What you need to understand is that telepathy isn't some sort of crazy aberration. Instead, it's something that we should recognize just as we would when coming across a person with speech issues. While we classify this as a disability, it should be the same scenario for someone who cannot utilize their telepathic power. Unfortunately it's not, but hopefully in the near future it will be.

It's unfortunate, but our civilization has lost its ability to stretch the telepathic mind. Even though it's a natural part of the human brain, society has created a shell for most people to keep from using it.

When you hear people talk about the "sixth sense," they are often referring to things such as telepathy. Others may call it the "third eye," although there are subtle differences in these two phrases they mean basically the same.

You have probably already utilized your telepathic power and haven't even realized it. This is mostly because we consider these to be gut feelings or instincts. Maybe you just felt as though someone was looking over your shoulder, or you're worried about a family member all of the sudden. These things happen all the time and the end result is that you're usually right. It's amazing how we accept this in our world, but the mention of it being connected to telepathy and most people turn their head.

We can't really pinpoint an exact time when the majority of humanity seemed to lose touch with telepathy, but it has a lot to do with not believing in its power. You often see this amongst many religious organizations like Christianity and Islam that believe this is a tool used by Satan and is simply demonic power.

Sometimes there is nothing you can do when fighting a religion. Many people believe that all the religions have so much power over our society that most people have been taught to put no faith in telepathy. This is because it's believed that the Messiah, Savior, or Prophet has to the natural abilities to do something of this magnitude.

While we aren't trying to offend anyone, you have to ask why religions would be so distrustful of telepathy. Our own opinion is that if others possess a power such as this, they can challenge the leaders of the church. Since no one wants to lose their power, they keep everyone suppressed about the matter. Granted, it's not like this everyone, but when cases arise it's usually the reason.

While this is a major problem, there are many other issues as well. One of the biggest has to do with the assurance that comes from science. While most scientists believe there is a connection between telepathy and the mind, there are some out there that just can't accept it. On a lawful approach, some scientists believe that telepathy cannot be numerically measured, tasted, or touched.

Instead you will find that we classify telepathic experiences as connections and instincts. We believe this is true only because those scientists, who try to bring the negative side to it, can't experience it themselves. However, they're always quick to acknowledge a strange or gut feeling as an instinct. While this wouldn't normally be a big deal, it's hard to understand considering these traits are just as elusive as telepathy.

Maybe it's just jealousy on their part. After all, most individuals hate it when something can't be explained, yet someone else can do it. When a phenomenon like telepathy comes along, it's much easier to tell us it's an instinctive response as opposed to an extraordinary power of the mind.

We many never find out the true reason why humanity lost touch, but it could date back as far as the story around the Tower of Babylon. Seeing how this was the time when languages were to confuse people, it's possible that the language of telepathy disappeared.

Learn How To Astral Project Naturally

By David Groomes

The ability to astral project is something which everyone already has naturally; in fact, you've probably astral projected before without knowing it. What we're going to talk about here is learning to consciously astral project and have control over where your astral body goes.

We'll assume that you already know about the astral plane and the astral body. Instead of defining these terms, we'll cover methods of learning how to astral project. It's something that everyone does a little differently, so you need to find the techniques which perform the best for you individually.

The following technique is a five-step process which can be done as you're lying in bed before you fall asleep.

*First; relax your body completely, trying to achieve a state of deep relaxation throughout your body. While you're lying there, tense and then release all of your muscles, starting from your toes and working your way towards your head. You may start feeling very heavy; this is natural and indicates deep physical relaxation.

*Second; Focus on your breathing. Take deep, slow breaths and concentrate on the feeling of the air filling your lungs. Exhale slowly, visualizing your tension and stress leaving your body each time you exhale.

*Third; Concentrate on the feeling of your body's total relaxation. Think of it as a stone or a lump of earth; something which is heavy and immobile. Now refocus your attention to your astral body; think about how light it feels, weightless in fact. Close your eyes and visualize your astral body floating away on the breeze.

*Fourth; At this point, you may find that you're able to see perfectly in your room even tough your eyes are closed. Your room will be bathed in purple light. Focus on the light coming from the ceiling.

*Fifth; Try to visualize pulling this light to your astral body. You'll feel like you're floating; this is your astral body floating above your physical body. Just look down and you'll be able to see your bed with your physical body at rest below.

If you've made it this far successfully, you are astral projecting and can begin on your astral travels. If this method doesn't work for you, however, there is another technique which many find useful.

This is called the gazing method and is used by many when learning how to astral project. It's a very simple method where you focus your complete attention on an object. This can be anything as long as its within your line of sight while you lie in bed.

With this object in your line of sight, lie in bed and focus on it. Even as your eyes begin to feel heavy, continue to focus on the object, staring at it. Eventually you won't be able to keep your eyes open, but you should be able to see it even now with your eyes closed. You might feel like sitting or standing, so go ahead; but don't panic when you see your sleeping physical body lying in bed!

If these techniques don't work for you right away, don't become discouraged. You may need to practice for a while before you can successfully astral project. Persistence is key.

What's really important isn't how you get there, but that you can overcome your subconscious skepticism about astral projection. You have to repeat to your subconscious that there's nothing to worry about and it's OK for your astral body to leave on its travels. You can use affirmations to communicate this to your subconscious.

Plenty of techniques can help you learn how to astral travel; you'll find the right one for you with a little practice and possibly some trial and error.

Hypnosis, especially guided hypnosis works for many; having an expert there to explain everything and tell you exactly what you need to do can be extremely helpful.

New audio technologies called binaural beats can also help you learn to astral project. These specially designed recordings consist of slightly different frequencies played into each ear. The effect of these recordings is to place the listener into the meditative, deeply relaxed state where astral projection comes naturally.

It's really not that hard to learn how to astral project. It's simply a matter of practice. You already have this capacity, but you'll need to work at it to develop this skill. Just like learning to ride a bike, it's something you can already do, but some practice is needed to train yourself to do it well.

Using Memory Boxes To Cherish Memories Of The Deceased

By Oliver Jackson Carter

There will be times when the people closest to us such as our friends and family die, and when they do it is easy to let the grief overwhelm us, however there are certain boxes that are specifically designed to hold keepsakes of that person such as the small accessories that they always had as well as photos and other keepsakes.

These memory boxes are usually made out of wood because wooden boxes allow for beautiful designs to be carved into them. Memory boxes can be used for decorative purposes as well as commemorative purposes. Many people have a life size portrait of their lost loved one in a corner in their house with the box placed underneath it in order to create the best possible memorial in your own home.

Memory boxes make a great gift for people who've just suffered a loss and they can be personalised and made to any specifications to make them perfect for the person you want to give it to, making it the perfect gift in a decorative and emotive sense.

There are also several other purposes that you can have a wooden box personally carved and designed for, for example, using it to store jewellery in to keep your dresser neat and tidy with nothing but an attractive box neatly placed there. Wherever and whatever you use your box for, the amazing artwork and craftsmanship will make the boxes a welcome addition to any room.

There are many places online that will make these memory boxes to your exact specifications so that it will fit perfectly wherever you intend to put it, whether you are going to give it as a gift, or keep it yourself. Also, when you buy online, you will usually get a great discount on the price as online stores do not have to pay for a premises, just a warehouse to keep the stock in.
